The quote came from Coates' post about this issue. There were four images he shared. The third one is the one with Storm and the Orishas. I think she will fight along side them but probably not before giving them a piece of her mind. I also don't know what in the world is going on in the panels above Storm. Hopefully, there will be dialogue to explain what they are doing.
it looks like the three orishas created some sort of "white hole" blast that disintegrated or completely engulfed their target.
it looks like the three orishas created some sort of "white hole" blast that disintegrated or completely engulfed their target.
You're good. I can see that now, thanks to you. Cool. Let's hope they killed the right people. Hmm. Maybe that's why Storm took off so fast. She still looks pissed to me, whether at the Orishas or something/someone else, I don't know. But yeah, your interpretation seems spot on.
It would be nice if X-Men other than Storm were shown. I can definitely see Bishop being involved in this battle. Do you know if there is a Krakoa law preventing X-Men from involving themselves in non-mutant affairs?
Yep it would.. I thought that one lady was Frenzy with the shaved side but I figure she is someone else. I dont think so esp for Oya and Monet who have continental connections(Nigeria and Algeria ) and Ev who canonically is a fan of Black Panther.

awww thank you boo. another theory upon looking at it again is that the orishas opened the portal allowing njadaka forces to invade wakanda prime. perhaps they feel tchalla is weak and njadaka would be better suited since he has the power of bast.

The one in the middle is Bast. At least from when this new form was introduced. But Acuna seems to have already made one mistake by putting Kasper in twice wearing each of his different costumes. Either that or its a new character or pages take place at different times.

oh I didnt realize that was bast... thank you. based upon your catch I would go back to my first theory on what's going on. I guess we will find out when the story drops but I'm excited. I need one more extreme goddess level feat before coates leaves.

Great observation with Bast. If that's the case, then she should've regained her godhood from the symbiote. I wonder where the other 2 Orishas are.

I hope creating a Portal is not ALL the Orisha do in this Battle. I really wanna know what THEY think and what they look like and their powers.

All five are in the picture. The other two are in the back and to the right. The fire behind Bast is one and the head outline of the other is on the right.

you pay very good attention to detail.
oan I simply love how coates has single handedly changed the narrative for our girl. I've been trying to come across different instances where she was canonically hinted at as being a real goddess before his run. here are a few I could find do you guys know of any others?

Ha you are so good. You and BK have eagle eyes today. I thought the fire was, well, something burning in the background. Smh. Okay, all are accounted for.

I would like to see all of that, too. It's past due, although I don't think we will. Or maybe we will get some, although perhaps not as much explanation as we like. I think Coates already said they went to where they would have more power (something like that), so there might not be more forthcoming. I would also love to see their actual faces. The battle between Bast and N'Jadaka was one of my favorite issues because of the showcase of Bast's different forms.

I'm not sure that's what they are doing but I wouldnt expect to see all of this over the next three or so issues. hopefully the next writer further explores this in future books.

Its Coates, so its probably the the worst thing I can imagine. They're self destructing so Storm can be the only Wakandan god. Thats my worst case. lol

Not the girls trying to denounce Storm's godhood. I swear if this were any other character it wouldn't been the gospel but let them tell it.
The constant attempts at dismissing anything to do with Storm's development is very .. concerning and it's honestly not a good look.

miss snarks you are always telling the truth! the question I wanna know is why? iceman is damn near unkillable and no issue. jeen knocking punching Galactus and all is right with the world. emma gets a secondary mutation that makes her turn into diamond and the girls go wild. doom becomes damn near impossible to beat and he a badass.
ororo being confirmed as what she always said she was is fanfiction and only a self-proclaimed goddess lolol. again I wonder why miss snarks????

Well, it looks like a Portal turning into glowing Balls of light and all of a sudden a down poor of Bad Guys come out?? Hmm.
Too bad we don't get to see what they look like in the face and powers. But Oh WELL.

it may happen we dont know but with three issues left I doubt he has enough time to go into their individual powers and personalities.
at least we know bast got her powers back.

Misogyny and white hoods. Period.
take this with a grain of salt BUT cbr implies "pale girl " power is greater than emma/jean combined because they had difficulty telepathically navigating in ororos mind:
https://www.cbr.com/wolverine-pale-girl-pollen/
When he tries to intervene, Storm throws Bishop overboard, where he imagines that he's being drowned by the zombie of Kate Pryde. As Jean Grey and Emma Frost's recent journey into Storm's mind proves, some veteran X-Men -- even ones who aren't telepathic -- still have some mental defenses. And by controlling Storm, the Pale Girl was able to take over a mind that two of Marvel's most powerful telepaths had difficulty walking into.

Nah for me it's just bad writing, and I'm not surprised since many times many characters are treated badly in the wolverine books to support him and also his plots, as happened in the previous issue where he killed a team that could stomp him in an epic mismatch.
the popularity of some characters leaves them free to commit nonsenseless(Old man Logan), Pale Girl is controlling Wolverine and in the next issue he will probably defeat an entire team again lol.

Exactly. Wolverine killed a team X-men that had 2 Omega Level Mutants on the roster by himself. Not considering the fact he just got his ass whooped by Cable......
And here we are to believe the "Pale Girl" is more powerful than Jean a Omega Lvl mutant in TP???? Inconsistent and Bad writing THIS is the very Definition of.........PIS.

What do we think about this match-up:
STORM VS. CAPTAIN MARVEL

Storm is a goddess come to life. Carol Danvers was in the midst of her transition into Earth’s Mightiest Hero, Captain Marvel. You have an X-Woman torn between sides, as she has loyalties to her people and her husband, Black Panther. You also have an Avenger who is still working on the confidence to step up to be the top tier hero on Earth. These conflicts would have added a great dynamic to what would have been an epic fight.

Hey idk if you guys saw this, it’s from one of my fav drag queens on the new season of Rupauls Drag Race, she is a big fan of Storm because she is a powerful woman. I really hope Marvel realizes how iconic Storm is and really push her in the MCU.

These Females will NEVER fight each other. They have A LOT of respect for each other during the time of the Brood Saga. These Two Ladies share a common HATRED for the Brood.
During the Civil War 2 Carol and Ororo were fighting together again against the Brood. So NO. this would NOT be a good fight or match up because these two ladies I can guarantee they will NOT come to Blows.
This Article is full of FOOLISHNESS and looking for Conflict when there is none.

The superhero vs superhero trope is all about forced conflict. Some storylines are better done that others, but it's all forced, especially between heroes who've been friends for years.

Yeah, I know. For a Good Story anyone will fight one another.
But i'm talking about character wise and cannon that these Two Ladies will likely not come to blows.
I think OUTSIDE of the X-Men
I think Storm's Female Friends are: Sue Richards, Carol Danvers, Shuir, (MAYBE) Misty Knight??
That's all I can think of.....anyone else agree or am I missing one?
