Part of me feel like the change in plans had something to do with that children of the atom book. Wasn't she supposed to lead them or mentor them or something.
As far as any solo, I don't think one is in the works but if they go that direction I have a feeling one of the current X writers would write it.

Hickmann said that Storm would be one of the most commented characters in ROX and that they would have a lot of plans and changes for her, so I'm pretty sure Storm will get a solo or team book centered on her (and I also think it's not Children of Atom)

From the way it sounds to me she may get a solo but it definitely sounds like she will be moving through all the books for various reasons as he implied what she is doing will reverberate across the entire line. I'm truly thinking goddess journey. i keep saying it but if every other race has gods of their owns etc at some point mutants are going to need some semblance of a pantheon when things get real.

That might be explored with Nightcrawler's journey with him formulating a New Religion. Not that people need an actual Pantheon in order to have religion, pray and be of faith.
Personally, I don't want Storm fulfilling Magneto's rather bold and egocentric "You have new gods now" statement...by becoming just that...a God of Mutants.
As it stands...the Omegas are already the closest one can get to actual godhood just minus the devotees.

I don't think i ever see Storm becoming a god of mutants but i do see her beoming a mutant goddess. And i do think that will put her in a place where she can protect her people when the likes of the new Olympians and the Shiar Gods start to take notice of Krakoa and it's expansion. As we have seen there are some battles only divine beings can really fight. But then i do admit to loving Jason Aaron Thor run with Jane.

Storm as a goddess protecting Jrakoa could be great. I would love to see Jean as Phoenix and Magik as Illyana as protectors too. Genesis and Apocalypse control Amenth and they cannot be good. Death controls a kingdom of vampires.

That's what i thought the omegas would be in a sense but even then there is no guarantee reality warping powers would work on celestials or god like beings and usually most of the gods in marvel see non divine beings no matter how powerful beneath them and usually won't even engage so i def think i t would be benefiicial for JEan to reach her full potential and stat because at the end of the day mutants may be powerful but there are a lot of beings in the marvel universe they just aren't equipped for. Though the mages of Arrako may be beneficial as magic usually hurts divine beings so Magick in my mind is also a necessity. It would be great to have a book with them being sort of like the "celestial" x-men team. Which is why i usually use the word pantheon because i see it as a group of beings who can take on those threats.

I loved them too. I just can't believe how much i loved that run of Aaron and everything has been just miss for me since his Jane run. And to me that was a modern masterpiece.

apocalypse and genesis are controlling amenth with the staff, I can them being a future "hail mary cavelary" as apocalypse left on heroic terms and intends to return(genesis seems inheritly heroic too as she refused to wield the helmet at first, fought it and finally understood what apocalypse is now), remember there are amenthian mutants too, who knows how krakoa-arakko would deal with those mutants and their very dark origin, so it's probably the X-office way to give that story a bit of a break as they continue with arakko-krakoa reunification, sword, etc.
They will return, probably as a salvation.
Death however, can be an interesting issue.

My first thought too. My spec is x-men are trying to create a cosmic divine team to deal with all of the beings out there who may be above mutant grade. One spec i have is how there always needs to be a conduit in these groups and how these pairings resonate with each other with an Omega like jean to fill the telepathic requirement and the cube i wonder if Storm could in fact create a pantheon that like apoc before her she is the center of. It makes me think of that image dauterman did with Jean,Logan, Scott, standing in front of Storm and i could totally see it.
I also wondering if going forward mutant teams will be put together based on "resonance" it has been said each time a collective works together they get stronger and what they do gets easier, more natural. A lot of amazing potential.

2. Mutant Science- Taki just explained to us in S.W.O.R.D
3. Mutant Religion - Kurt himself said he wants to start. And we saw a teaser of him in RoX
4. Mutant Country- Duh Arakko and Krakoa are together.
Next:
-Storm is a Goddess so we could be seeing Mutant Gods
-Cosmic Mutants

The new issue of S.W.O.R.D. is indeed quite interesting, having in mind that they pulled a crystal of such magnifying power and we see Storm holding it from that teaser for RoX, it is about time our girl gets a lot of upgrades, cosmic is exactly the upgrade I was thinking.
If they do go the Cosmic Upgrade route I hope they don't do a Dark Storm Saga-type arc. Been there, done that with Jean Grey...we don't need a rehash.
While I do expect some challenges and difficulty in harnessing this brand new cosmic element, considering her strength and willpower, it would be great to see her master it and completely.

Yes it's either the Mkran crystal or some upgraded form. Or something related to the phoenix. Im pretty sure it's an unlimited power source.
I love how all the Women in the council we're working together to stick it to Shaw all four of them.
That’s definitely a Cosmic Cube. Based on the descriptions of where they are traveling too. We can rule out The White Hot Room.
Either they travelled to the Beyond Verse Or this is a New Reality or concept that Ewing has made.
But I’d say Cosmic Cubes, not all all Cosmic Cubes take shape in the form of its name sake. Each reality have their own CC. And since they Broke a Cosmic Law that must be it. No stealing Cubes!!!
Having read immortal hulk which is admittedly a completely different beast i think the mutants in Sword when deeper than any other and if that object that took the crystal from is really the wheel of the one above all then they would have now taken the cube from the heaven of this universe rather than an alternate way. For them to go beyond the White Hot Room and further still, past a heat nothing should be able to penetrate and they did it sounds like they were able to make it to outside of the one above all or the gates of heaven. Or rather the very core of all realities.

It's not really filler i would say. Not a lot of action but deep and meaningful and thought provoking in a sense. But i would agree with not a lot of action if you aren't into the action of the mind. A chess player would love the book and the art is amazing.
