i think a coates storm solo would be quite perfect since he has great ability to create new concepts and since storm's tenure as a solo is so small, he would have a pratically empty page to fill with his concepts witout much pushback, not only that he would obviously have something to say about mutants in general, especially with hickman's current concept (wich to me seems like up his ally of high conceptual super heroes)
I truly belive storm by coates would be an important read for more than storm fans and would be a wonderfull addition to the line.
Yes I would be curious to see how Coates' would address the idea of Ororo being an actual goddess in the world of the current mutantkind where they are playing as gods. I think there are only technically maybe two mutants, outside of Ororo, who would qualify as an actual god: Siyrn and Selene.
I believe this as well. Coates has written a superb black panther in terms of building the mythos and expanding open the idea of the nation (with regards to their gods and their reach in the galaxy). i'm also curious where coates is looking to take the story after the reboot (if it is rebooted).

well there is definitely indication they both are playing nice. we have coates referencing ororo's obligation to Krakoa (which tchalla has no issue with) and we have seen references to Coates' bp characters in Hickman's book.

yes Shuri mentioned to Tchalla when he returned from space that Ororo was not there because she had xmen duties to attend. i forget the issue number but when i get the chance i will post some scans.

Boo thank you so much for this gym. I recall many people giving storm grief because ger dicubjty was lowered by faith. they said thor didnt rewrite faith but here we are with data from his own book saying the opposite. I love it:

the same applies for Odin, thor, all of asgard require faith.

Bruce dresses up in a bat costume to scare people, making them easier to cow and beat up. People's faith in capitalism and central banks gives him wealth, which he uses to fund his activities. I think the belief of the people certainly is at play in his effectiveness(at the very least, the plot armor that allows him to go toe to toe with all these super-beings).

But those are the people he is referencing. Superman, green Lantern, Batman, Aquaman. That page is a tongue in cheek way of talking about them. The hand grasping the universe in the preview is from a DC story also.

No, Superman, GL, BM... He is referencing them. Not in the strictest literal since, but metaphorically. Because the option is that hes having fun talking about DC heroes, or he created a universe that has gods whose powers and existence is exactly like DC.

who is the sun god?
god of emerald light?
god of dark?
he says they all are powered by faith... all the gods in the universe. you're taking something literal in the explanation of gods power in marvel and making it into something completely different. the writer isnt talking to DC superheros. not even metaphorically.

ok I see how you are now interpreting it. however, within this context its still around gods and what powers them, which is the faith of their believers.
ultimately this faith wont save them, as even the gods or heroes will call on their gods to save them.

I dont believe he means literally. People believe in Superman and the DC heroes, they have faith that they'll be able to save them. Even Conner Kent had a religion based around him at the end of Infinite Crisis. I believe Cates is referring to the faith people have in their heroes that dives them to save people. The same way people have an almost religious faith in All Might from My Hero. Their belief in him makes him work harder, but its not what powers him.

I think if he didnt mean it literally he would hsve simply described it as you did but he didnt. also there are other books, including from thor, that state gods require faith and prayer for their power. these scans just support the alteashy established precedent.

Coates doesnt count as that's what your using Thor #2 to justify. Neither of the other two say faith is where they get their powers. The first says being a god simply requires worshippers. In that since Magneto is one too as he seems to have a following as seen in DoX. The third image says Thir can hear prayers. It doesn't say that's where his power comes from.

Isn't the woman narrating? How would she know for sure? Also I not familiar with the intricacies of Donald Blake Thor. Hes more like Thor light as he needs the stick to access his powers. I've seen him turn into Thor without anyone else around. But if you provide the issue number I might be able to find the arc.

This story also talks of the issue. The villain spent two issue talking about faith powering him, but when the rubber hit the road and he was losing, he through that out the window and he was just as powerful. I'd like to see this villain pop up more too.

Yeah, Uovu is a good Villain. He definitely should come back. That was a cool fight. I’d like Storm to fight him again. Their fight was pretty cool her using Stormcaster to obliterate him was kinda funny.
In regards to your interpretation of the Scans earlier posted. I agree. Those Gods where clearly indirectly talking about the Justice League. I mean lol you can’t possibly miss that. But I thought it was cool. But to the topic I’m not sure where this is coming from but Thor doesn’t need prayer to power up. I mean go to any Thor thread and they’d tell you. Lol
But yes Bring back Uovu 2020 LOL if Coates knows what’s good he’d do it...

oh to your comment about thor all the scans I've provided including the one from the current thor states otherwise. thor as well as all other marvel gods require faith. I love when canon proves me right :*

There hasn't been much direct on panel story to reinforce the connection, but yes, in theory, the goddess Ororo refers to in 'by the goddess!'/'Bright Lady' is Ma'at/Oshtur, one of the Elder gods of earth.

Uovu can always come back. Just like all the other “Supposedly” dead X-Men villains have. Uovu is no different.
Not sure why you keep saying it’s non Cannon because it is. You don’t get to cherry pick what YOU want to consider cannon or not. It doesn’t work like that. Sorry.
Your Welcome next.
No, it only proves you wrong Kyss as always. Thor doesn’t get his powers by Faith. Those few scans you posted does not ignore the greater and larger history of his character showing us that he in fact does NOT need prayer to use his godly power or that’s where his Godly power comes from.
Sorry, bud but your going to have to take the L on this.

What would be even better is if Oshtur blessed Storm with Magical Immunity. Calling it “The Blessing of Oshtur” or “Oshturs Blessing”. Being the mother and founder of Magic I don’t see why she won’t do that to Storm. Having Storm become immune to all magic attacks.

No, it only proves you wrong Kyss as always speaking in things that you don’t fully have a clear understanding. Thor doesn’t get his powers by Faith. I’m not sure why you don’t get that point. 1. you think Coates is going to use a villain from a writer who did everything to contradict the story he was telling in black panther? and it not canon. virtually everything in that book that occurred has been ignored, such as gambit and storm kissing for starters.
2. I'm not sure how you can argue that he doesnt get power by faith when there are multiple stories now including the latest thor book that says exactly that. find me one scan that says he doesnt need faith because I can provide you several that says exactly the opposite. it seems you dont a clear understanding and thats ok cause I'm here to school you. class is in session:

1. If Coates is THAT good of a writer as you think he is then yes. He should be able to use a good concept that was added to Storm’s my this. That’s what any good writer would do. Use concepts that have potential.
2. You don’t know enough about Thor or even the Gods of Asgard that much for you to even claim that. Your wrong because there are many many more examples and issues of Thor showing that Prayer is not the source of Asgardian Godhood. Your scan does not outway the many other ones. I’d suggest you actually talk to a fan of Thor because reading your arguments with the other user and that other Storm fan off panel I don’t quite think you fully understand Asgardian Gods or Thor himself and their methos.
