yes I dont think we hsve seen bast or ororo have an exchange in BP. if it happens it should be really good, if it is similar to shuris convo.
also I'm still not sure if this all bast personality or a bit of the girls personality mixed in to her own.
I want to say that Tree is a representation of Storm's Godhood.

The tree us similar to the kind the elephant trunk sorority used that was a focal point for Storm to use her powers.

It's the same tree you see in Shuri. That Tree grants you access to the Astral Plane.
And remember me and argued that Storm used her God Power to help Shuri go to the Astral plane?
I don't see why THIS tree in Giant Size X-Men is NOT the same Tree.

If it's not a symbol of her Godhead then Hickaman sure FOOLED ME. But yes I think that Tree is a Symbol of her Godly Powers.
HOPEFULLY whatever is the tree symbolizes will be the catalyst we need for Storm to access her God powers any time she wants.

Did she access god powers near the tree? Thought they just needed her for controlled electricity. The fungus in the cave activated godhead powers.

No, your correct. They needed a powerful bolt of Lightning for the Tree. And the Fungus did bring out her Godhead.
However, this makes me believe that if the Fungus could do that. Jean and Emma should be encountering her Godhead in her mind somewhere somehow. And I think that Tree is the Godhead.

from what it appears it seems they are in ororos mind. what that tree actually represents I think remains to be seen but if it is a representation of her godhead I will do whatever Hickman wants me to do to him ***call me Hickman, wink wink***

why would her physical body be trapped in her own mind? it appears that Jean and Emma are inside Ororos mind.

It was a cover, so I was going with symbolism. To use something from Shuris' book as a focal point for Storms mind is kinda hacky. Decades worth of appearances and that was the best he could come up with.
The only reason I can see us that Nnedi is getting her novel series adapted on Hulu and Marvel is trying to get more Shuri trades sold based on her name by putting her work in a Xbook
I wonder what Shadow King did now to Storm's Mind.

I think that Hickman using aspects from Shuri's book definitely demonstrates that Coates and Hickman are working together. That, to me, is very nice to see. I'm not sure why that would make it hacky.
Maybe its just a simple thing of Hickman trying to do better to align to established canon.

I dont think Nnedi has collaborated with Coates. Shes never mentioned him in interviews. I think she'll use aspects, but she seems like the type to do it on her own.

Editorial can tell her what she can and can't do. They might even have the same assistant editor. I've never checked. Normally Coates related writers talk about how they collaborated with him. I didn't see anything like that.

I was wondering how long it was going to take someone to post this. Saw it early this morning.
And yes on first impression I immediately knew we we're in Ororo's Mind and the Tree represented her GodHood. Really her headdress alone is enough for me to recognize her GodHood. This looks good. How much Storm are we going to get in this, im not sure, but I'm down.
Wonder who the big bad is. Hopefully not the Shadow King. Though he is her One true nemesis.
Hopefully it's the real big bad "Stress!" Lol.
Also if it's the same tree from Shuri. Then Nice Job Marvel, I see you.

I'm certain our current disposition couldn't get any worse.
