Absolutely.
She has the potential, no doubt.
But with other SS candidates in this 616 time-line who are far stronger and more experienced magic users than she at the moment...it seems her destiny may lie elsewhere.
To that...
Her Goddess potential is divine-based not magic-based...although there is speculatively a very fine line of distinction there should a writer be interested in exploring it.
And consider...
Stephen Strange and the other Sorcerors Supreme are powerful, yes but they are not Gods.

Thanks, I went through it. It was interesting to read the material, bringing back memories from the TAS series.
Yup, she did it twice in her Solo Book. Again the costume she was wearing in her Solo Book was not stated to have Unstable Molecules. That was her Classic Costume. Completely Different.
Yep, I agree with the above and I reread her solo series just to confirm it, still dislike the colours and the way they draw the comic, it doesn't seem as modern and elegant as today. I've noticed something else in the solos, she clearly states that Gambit shouldn't trust magic, I think this is what stops her from using her Magic Potential, she doesn't trust magic.
Absolutely.

And yes for the above, I believe they will concentrate on her Godhood, I don't think they will concentrate upon her Magic Potential, they could but first, they need to get her to that Magic School/Academy where she can harness it and learn how to use it, which will take at least one Comic Series and I still think that I prefer her as a Goddess than SS.
All you did was assume her costume wasn't made of Unstable Molecules because it was not stated (specifically) in her Solo Book. But, let's run with that a moment -- If Ororo can manipulate matter at the molecular level as you've stated -- then she should have no problem turn gold into lead, right?
I did not Assume. I gave proof. You have not proven your case what you are doing is assuming. You are forgetting Storm is an Energy Manipulator. I don’t know how much proof you need to bite you. She did it Twice in her solo. Both which were Regular Clothes into her costume. Show Us Proof that her Costume had Unstable Molecules until then? She can do exactly what others are stating.
exactly. first we have to remember ororo is an energy manipulator who specializes in weather. second once understanding this and knowing that all forms of matter are composed of energy by way of atoms (protons, neutrons, and electrons) her being able to change clothes on a molecular level shouldnt be too farfetched.
Exactly. That’s why I said she did it Twice in her Solo Book. I don’t know what else to say about that. If I’m wrong I’d like to see proof that her Costume was Stated to Have Unstable Molecules.
See!!! I told ya. She did it Twice. If we are to believe that the Clothes she was wearing during that Point in time of her characterization. I’m sure they would have Mentioned Storms costume had Unstable Molecules that’s why she changed it. But they didn’t say anything. Therefore, you cannot Assume her costume had Unstable Molecules without proof. That’s all I’m saying really.

Divine from my knowledge in comics is just holy magical energy. So technically she's using magic

-
Yes because Thor powers are divine but still stated to be magic

I don't know how to explain this feat though?
That Woman is the Adversary’s Mother. Called “Haven“ she is Indian. It’s complicated really. That Whole Story felt rushed and all over the place.
Anyway, it’s hard to tell what Feat she did, but those were the Powers of the Adversary when he was a Fetus. Also this storyline is where Adversary Beats Roma again and traps her in a Bubble. And The Adversary Tanks a Blast meant to separate your Molecules.
Which of course doesn’t work on him.
ANYWAY for Haven the Mother of Adversary. Read -X-Factor #96-117 I believe.
And if you wanna see Adversary be a Badass Read X-Factor #118-121. Another demonstration how powerful he is.
If you say so...
They are actually Right. Divine Energy is another Form of Magic. It’s just a Higher Form of Magic really.
Thor’s Lightning isn’t Magic. But when he uses his God Blast he’s channeling Divine Energy from himself and putting it into his Hammer Thus Making it a Powerful Magical Attack.

Yet within the MU there is a clear differentiation between magic users and God-like beings.
-
Yet within the MU there is a clear differentiation between magic users and God-like beings.
But it doesn’t change the fact that those same Beings are also using Magic. A higher form of it.
-
It's a perspective.
As I said...
"...although there is speculatively a very fine line of distinction" that is between magic and divinity.
Read and Be at peace.

No need to get defensive. Sheesh didn’t know this gets you that bothered.
Anyway, . I’m just correcting your statement. It’s not a perspective when Marvel clearly shows us otherwise.
But I’m at peace. Someday you will too.

Okies.
Not entertaining any arguments this millennium.

So Mutant Powers. Magical Powers. Devine Powers. And soon to be Cosmic power. The most super glass canon ever.
-
When you put it like that? No Wonder Storm is a HUGE threat. The Girl has her hands in ever Cookie Jar.
-
Yet within the MU there is a clear differentiation between magic users and God-like beings.
Not very much. And the source of the magic from all of the gods is from beings like Chthon and Gaea. There's just nothing special about gods in the Marvel multiverse.

Fight: Storm vs Wonder Man.
who would win?

My thoughts are that these forms of energy are separate:
divine >>>>>>>>>>>>>> cosmic>>>>> magic
-
So Mutant Powers. Magical Powers. Devine Powers. And soon to be Cosmic power. The most super glass canon ever.
But she already has damped with some cosmic manipulations, like bending the Solar Winds... I mean come on, that is a pure cosmic accomplishment.
My thoughts are that these forms of energy are separate:

Aren't the above supposed to be vice-versa? Cosmic entities are far more powerful than the Divines... For example, take this recent Thor Comic... Thor (2020), where Thor became Herald, in one the pages it was clearly shown that the Gods of Earth flew up in the sky to try and protect it. And Thor became much more powerful once he became a Cosmic Entity, Herald of Galactus... or do I misunderstand that or something?
Fight: Storm vs Wonder Man.

I want to say Wonder Man Win.
But at the same time I feel Like MAYBE Storm can pull out a win. But I’m not sure what she could do to a Person who is Pure Ionic Energy.

Many here have already stated that Ororo can manipulate and or control all forms of energy -- so why should Simon's Ionic Energy be any different?

yea looking into it a bit more it seems you are right where there seems to be some overlap at yes between gods being stronger and cosmic beings. the one above all I guess is the ultimate power and it's a cosmic being.

I want to say Wonder Man via speedblitz since I think he can take her down before she gets to cut loose.

Yes the feat is a bit wonky. She also had a plane of existence where half of you stood in all of creation and the other half in nothingness. Or send people to literally Oblivion. But I never understood why she need tech to do things when she had Adversary powers.

looking at powerlisting
ion manipulation is a sub power of Charged Particles Manipulation which is a sub power of electricity manipulation

Which would make sense because Storm can manipulate ions, electrons and etc. Not saying she can directly control ionic energy but her powers uses it sources

Except if she were fully empowered by people worshipping her she’d be the one faster than him. Gods in Marvel have their powers boosted by faith and belief in them.

I am as well. He was the only person who truly wanted her to be her best self. Believing that she possessed in her something Xavier had told her was not true so long ago:

I can't agree more. I've always wondered what would have happened with Ororo if she never met X-Men and joined their team, but instead joined the Avengers? Or God's Pantheon?
