not that this was not already understood but jordan white had thoughts on yukio and storm. it put to rest the conversation of her being in a relationship with yukio:

AIPT: I’m a classic blue guy, myself. Next up, Storm has been one-half of many famous comic book romances. Grey_life12 (@304grey_fan) wanted to know which was your favorite and why?
Jordan: She has been in a lot of big ones, hasn’t she? I know a lot of people are very invested in Storm and Black Panther’s relationship. Others still have a soft spot for Storm and Forge. Some even love the Storm/Logan romance, which I think felt a little rebound-y to me. They’re all interesting, but personally I have always really loved seeing Storm and Yukio together. While not canonically a romance, it just… really seemed to open up something in her that was pretty exciting for the character.
baby yes to all of this. they.are great friends and their friendship allowed ororo to experience a beautiful character transformation; however, friendship was all.it ever was.

People will insert their own ideas into statements from editors and writers rather than stick to what is actually said. Either poor reading or desperation on their part, which is pretty common around the X-forums.

you're absolutely right and this is fair.
I'm in the camp that doesnt believe her to be bi or have had a relationship with yukio. however, objectively speaking I can think of only one instance where she has displayed same sex interactions and that was when the heroes were inverted and not behaving like themselves. I don't think one can make the case she is bi from that showing.
however I must say I'm pleased mr white confirmed what many here have already said in regards to yukio and that is they dont have a romance canonically speaking.

Wow, that's cool to see from the editor. I know a lot of you don't like the idea of Ororo and Yukio for whatever reason, but I'm glad Jordan brought it up. Surely, there has not been on-panel direct evidence, but there is subtext, and it would be cool to finally move past that in 2020 and it be actual text. Yukio's last story with Ororo(by Pak) was off-putting for me. It would be great to see a new story with them that actually acknowledges their close connection, and definitively addresses the romantic subtext.

I think the last time we saw these two were in her solo. and it was clear they were close but yukio exploited this to gain power with the criminal underground community. it was really messed up imo.

also will njadaka try to take her power like he did bast? so many questions.

It sounds like Njadaka is hoping that Storm get's tired, but doensn't know that Shuri is holding Storm unless she REALLY needs to use Storm.
When Shuri said that we have allies showing us a panel of: Ironheart, Spectrum, Luke Cage, Falcon and Misty Knight. It NOW seems that Shuri is purposefly using Storm as the "Ace in the Hole" so to speak which is very uplifting. Because they seem to believe that Storm is a bigger factor than the rest of the Heroes........IMO.
But i'm most likely wrong since Bast has something up her sleve as well soooo "We Shall See"

It was messed up, and unique in their entire history, which, I ascribe to Pak himself. He made a few moves in that solo that really soured the whole run for me, and this was one of them. In a medium like this, that goes on for decades and decades, there are going to be some outliers(that should be ignored). For me, Claremont established their relationship back at a liminal time for Ororo when she was just returning to earth after the whole Brood saga and everything that happened there, and with Callisto in the sewers. Yukio showed her how to be happy and free, how to be wild, and revel in it. That was/is an important lesson for Ororo. For me, the last time they were together was drunk and naked in a hot tub with Callisto's tentacles all over the place. I'd be happy to see a writer pick up their story from there...

Perhaps you need to learn how to read and comprehend things without trying to insult others. They were talking about romances and he brought up Yukio stating while not canon(yet) he loved them together. Did I seem desperate with that?

I agree with all your points on the things yukio taught her and I dont think that is something that could ever be downplayed. however, how many times do we see women dancing provocatively in the club, or even kissing while still professing to be straight? fetishes aside I truly see the scan you posted women having a good time together and not anything meant to suggest they had a night of hot passionate sex.
in this day in age where you have iceman making out with men left and right if marvel wanted to state she was in love with yukio or even was simply bi they wouldnt have to tell such stories through context and they would simply show it. whites admission today simply confirms what I've been communicating to those who suggest the opposite in regards to her interactions with yukio. and just to be clear if there were canonical evidence of such a love affair I wouldnt care but that isnt that case as it now stands.
-
Marvel has designated Iceman as their gay character and have proceeded accordingly. Storm is still designated their 'black' X-Man and they are still doing the BP thing to some degree. Of course they don't want to commit fully with a bi/pan Storm, because it is obviously still contentious with a strong segment of society, especially within the specific black community, which tends towards more Christian and conservative morals when it comes to sexuality.
That said, even years ago, before Iceman came out, they already play with the concept of Storm being bi/pan/something queer:

So because Callisto is lesbian or bi and assaulting Ororo that makes ororo bi too?
And psycho-man playing on the INACCURATE fears that the xmen were simply a big orgy house is hardly proof ororo is bisexual. Are we to conclude kitty had a thing for ororo and rogue too? Because that is what I'm gathering from what you are intending to convey with this scan.
I think the thing that is disingenuous is taking scans without providing the full context to support a narrative she is bi/pan when there isnt canonical evidence that clearly demonstrate this, which the Xeditor Mr. White himself conformed.
Nevertheless, I don't think its fair to conclude people have issue with Ororo being bisexual because of religion (specifically christianity) and/or conservative morality. Ororo is a black woman whose entire origins go against the very ideals of christianity. The bottom line, as White stated, is her romance with Yukio isnt canon. The only way one can at this point conclude she is bi/pan is through loose interpretations of scans that can be argued otherwise. If marvel came out and said she was bi/pan by way of canon the discussion would be closed.

It's not 'canon' because it is still subtext. The pages you dismiss contain subtext. Both Callisto and Storm came out of that closet. And do you really think Ororo would allow herself to be assaulted?
You are bending over backwards to deny what is clearly in your face. But whatever. You have your opinion on the matter, I have mine. We have never been in agreement about this.

and yet the scan you posted clearly state "maybe they're alternate versions." it goes against the argument you're making as it becomes ambiguous and ambiguity doesnt play well when debating canon.
also its not about what I think, it's about what canon has demonstrated. it was the same thing that was screamed to me many times about her being an omega mutant. if it is not said on panel it didnt happen.
and that's ok boo. we can agree to disagree; however, the current xeditor seems to be aligned with my line of thinking in the regard. the moment marvel says she is bi conclusively I will be there celebrating with everyone who has made the claim. until then you cannot argue subtext in the era we live in where we have characters such as shade walking around:

Why do you want them to fight? So Ororo has a chance to demonstrate the extent of her godhood? I don't think they will have any reason to come to blows, especially since they are on the same side, even with Bast doing her part for self-serving reasons. I don't think Coates has shown Bast doing anything to actively harm T'Challa or Earth Prime Wakandans. It also makes you think about the other Orishas. They were supposed to have returned to Earth Prime but we haven't seen them.

He would be foolish not to. I can’t imagine they would have him pull it off. He doesn’t strike as the type to use mutant power dampening tech and I cannot think of a way (outside of powerful magic) that would allow him to suppress her gift of godhead. Outside of pitting her against another god of equal or greater power to redirect her from the rest of the battle.

yea that's the primary reason I want them too. i dont get the sense she has tapped until this power since we last saw her do it in shuri and that was not under her control. Honestly, I think the bit about Ororo tiring, from N'Jadaka and Shuri, was more Coates giving a "plausible" reason not to have his elevated goddess take over the show. He likes to give his different characters moments to shine in a way that makes sense in the story. That's the reason, IMO, why T'Challa isn't always the one winning all of the battles in his book, or coming up with all of the plans that work. Ororo getting tired is a reasonable excuse to sideline her for awhile. Honestly, when Shuri told Ororo not to go help Eden and the others because a war is made up of many battles, her acceptance rang false to me. I think she would've gone anyway. Ororo puts the safety of others ahead of herself, especially something like fatigue.

yes agreed here. it will allow for her to be out of the story while allowing other players to get their shine. I do feel like ororo would hsve kept pushing but I'm glad she did. it seems to be an ongoing theme of her pushing and pushing both in xmen and in BP. this fatigue may be a contributing factor in the jean emma book.

Yes, her fatigue has been mentioned in two different books. She is burning the candles at both ends. Because there is always something going on in Wakanda, when she goes there, it is rarely a respite from the stress she experiences dealing with Krakoa and its worldwide status. She hasn't been shown to get a break. That kind of running around will wear a person down. And, since Ororo hasn't been shown to have gained stamina with her godhood, we can assume that her strength and stamina are the same (maybe??). Although, as you guys have pointed out before, she has been known to push herself in some extreme situations.
