“Omega level” be damned. I found the humility shown in the treatment of her powers in X-Men #70 in this panel by Joe Kelly and Carlos Pacheco to be more illustrative of Storms personality and relationship with nature than anything else.

One of my favourite issues and eras.
Love X-Men 70, they definitely used Storm right in that era (until after Magneto War) but always remember that they were building to kill her.

Speaking of Storm's water manipulation, I remember when I posted on another forum in the VS section where Storm was matched against an opponent whose body was made up of electricity. The opposition claimed Storm hadn't shown the ability to control sentient elementals, and I managed to end the argument with this. It was pretty satisfying.

Emma and Cyclops began running the Show During the “Heroic Age”.
From what I’ve noticed Lightning Lass didn’t start showing up until the END of the “Heroic Age” going into “Marvel Now”.
You have to remember Marvel relaunched a lot.

The relaunches goes like this:
-Heroic Age
-Marvel Now!
-All New All Different Marvel
-Marvel Legacy
-Marvel 2.0
-Fresh Start
What I’m saying is Lightning Lass Starts at the End of the Heroic Age into Marvel Now! From there they had no idea how to write Storm.

lightning lass was a name affectionately given to appearances made by storm when when she only used lightning when in battle even when it didn't make sense to do so. its something that still happens to this day lol

it reminds me of all the "fights" that Storm had against Ironman, she only used lightning even when it was not effective, lazy writers.

Storm’s Lightning does work against Ironman. She Short Circuited him. But it depends on what Suit he is wearing that it doesn’t work. But either way she keeps using Lightning.......

I fairly certain Stark has long since incorporated countermeasures into his armor to prevent EMP base attacks from shutting him down.
The overuse of lightning is a big pet peeve of mine. It's super lame how uninspired writers are when it comes to showcasing Storm in combat, especially nowadays. All it takes is one quick google search to see the different types of damage weather can cause.

He has, but he still gets affected. The Only suit that Lightning can’t affect is Tony Starks Endo-Suit.
