how did he do kurt?
how did he do kurt?
The book should have been called Giant Size: Cypher as it was more about him. Kurt got to lead the team (until Magik took over). It wasnt a Kurt story and he got zero development or further insight into how he views Krakoa.. Billing this as his book was misleading. The Emma and Jean issue stayed centered on them at least. Hopefully the Storm one does as well and there arent too many other characters to take the focus away from her
you must keep in mind these are also with the wants of the artists , dauterman wanted to do storm at first AND she already has a plot line to finish and is the final issue, it was strange for kurt but I dont think the two situations are going to be similar at least from my current prespective.

I havent read the issue yet but that sucks for him and his fans. I dont believe Hickman would do a similar thing since the issue will revolve around saving her life. so I'm hopeful. I throughly enjoyed the first giant size so I hope stormd book continues that same energy.

agreed.
Also the way the solicitations and interviews are being revealed are also difrent, kurt's was meant to be a team mission and its solicitation just implied a mansion mystery, while storm is being promoted as a tipping point for the characther, a personal conclusion to what started in he first issue.
And we also must consider what alan davis wanted, we know dauterman wants storm, so im not worried

excellent excellent point boo. thank you!!
I guess enough time has passed for spoilers. Tchalla and his ancestors acknowledge his fault to be there for his wife during avx. Though i thought it was grossly mishandled it was nice to see again acknowledge and accept the faults of his decisions there:

I would buy 100 copies. Lol
Lol, y'all a trip.
Morlocks out here, roaming around Krakoa like a Mutant gang.
And As for Coates having T'Challa saying Ororo needs to come back home
I hope that's a nod to the future, for Storm and BP
Not sure why the writer thought Storm summoning a tropical Storm wouldn't tip doom off that something was going down.

Yeah, poor T'Challa. First his sister and then his ancestors. LOL. I'm sure the man gets that he screwed up. I think having T'Challa say come back to me and come back home was meant to be the two things he wanted to say to Ororo a long time ago but pride and anger prevented him from doing so. I think Coates has done a really good job workin through the nonsense that was AvX.
But, geesh, this is a long story just to get T'Challa back to the point of seeing and accepting himself as a king.
Oh, and having Storm in the outfit she wore during the time they were married was a nice touch. It placed their relationship during a very specific time period.
There was a female superhero category on Jeopardy today, and of course, Storm was one of the answers and only X-woman. Homegirl is definitely iconic. Don't fuck this up MCU!

Overall, I think Ororo is safe in Disney's hands. I wouldn't have thought so before seeing BP in Avengers Civil War and the female characters in the BP movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. Disney also think they are super woke and are trying to appeal to a broader viewing market, which includes people of color in the United States as well as abroad.

I wonder what the question was?

Can you say who the other answers were and their values?
I wonder what the question was?
Can't exactly remember, something along the lines of "This mutant X-man named Ororo Munroe, has weather controlling abilities."
Can you say who the other answers were and their values?
The other answers were Wonder Woman, Black Widow, and Katana(Suicude Squad) I can't remember the other one nor any of their point values.
Interesting. Thank you.

i.completely agree avx was absolutely one of the worse events I've read. hero vs hero events (those since then at least) always tend to exhibit more OOC moments than not.
I know his stories tend to be more long winded but I dont mind it. also I love how Coates went a picked pivotal moments from his past and brought it to life. it gives further context of all the bad decisions he has made and how heavy that must be on his soldier. and by the end of the issue it would seem the djalia is gone :(.
I hope bast can bring it back or restore it somehow.

Like who doesn't want to fuck Kurt? His religious belief alone would pump my blood so much that i would want to corrupt every sexual instinct he has in his devilish little body.

I can think of more creative use for that tail than the artist has (don’t get me wrong, it’s still cute, but I’ve been contemplating that tail for forty years. It’s seldom at rest...)

kurt gets all.the women. i recall an uncanny issue where he and Logan are and women are casually giving him love eyes and passing him.their numbers. lol
I've been getting my niece interested in X-men. She's four. She's watching some of the cartoons on Disney plus and she likes to play with my action figures. As of today her favorite clearly seems to be Storm. I couldn't be more proud.

Top notch taste. I remember getting exposed the first time on X-Men from TAS. Storm captivated my attention right away. It did not even take the full episode, just fell in love with her powers and her regalness. And fell more in love with her across the series when she's the one that wasn't really written around a love story while Jean and Rogue were. I loved that independence from her, she didn't need a man. A queen.
