He wasn't moping here... that's the point. The previous BP's were trying to see if they could break him down by haunting him with his past failures, but he instead showed that he moved past all of it.

He chose Wakanda. He the vision of Wakanda being destroyed with the Phoenix overtop of the city. He chose the side that wanted to prevent it coming to Earth, thus saving Wakanda.
Just like when Priest had him say he joined the Avenger to spy on them. He does what he thinks will benefit Wakanda.
But as Xpac mentioned, why would he hide Hope in Wakanda? Why not work with his wife as opposed to pushing her away? It just didn't seem like the smartest thing to do and ultimately his decisions made it worse resulting in it being flooded.
When you say it like that, it really does make it seem like T'Challa didn't think things through.
He received a vision of the Phoenix destroying Wakanda... then hid the Avengers from the Phoenix in Wakanda. In hindsight he probably should have seen that one coming. One has to wonder if T'Challa mentioned the visions when he was getting Shuri's permission to hide the Avengers in Wakanda.
Exactly!

Avengers EMH is still the most competent BP obviously shout out to Priest and Aaron's doing a pretty good job right now
I'll post here what I said at the HEF that sums it up nicely:
It hard to write a character well when you hate everything the character stands for, represents, and inspires others to be
Yet Priest was able to do it. In fact he did it multiple time not just with Black Panther.
And this brings up another question-why was someone who hated the character given the book? Why does it seem this crap happens to a black character?

That can happen in a fight. Remember this wasn't just a discussion... he was in a fight, and clearly the previous panthers weren't exaclty push overs. He overcame them them, but he didn't have an easy time. But despite the struggle, the point was he overcame it all. They couldn't break him physically or mentally, with the whole point of it being he was able to overcome the issues which he'd been plaguing him.

What about AvX is considered smart. Lol.
From the first pages of Xmen and Avengers meeting, stupidity was the mode.

I think Priest hated more what he became during the Avenger years. An unimpressive background character. He like him when he was originally conceived I think.

Hope was in Kun Lun, the portal was just in Wakanda. T'challa let the Avengers stay in Wakanda.
And name one other place on Earth you could hide the Avenger from 5 mutants with the power of the Phoenix anyway? You gonna take her to Castle Doom lol? There are no other fortified places on Earth. The problem was accidentally capturing Transonic. It was an accident. That is what lead to Namor showing up pissed off.
Storm is the one that immediately left T'challa. She was on the Avengers at the time. The meeting with the Avengers saying the Phoenix is coming, she IMMEDIATELY dipped out and left. Her choice, not T'challa's. That is 100% on panel.
Also her choice was coming into Wakanda WITH more mutants looking for Hope. Her choice, not T'challa's. That is 100% on panel.

Logan immediately going with the solution of "stab Hope" was probably the only in character moment the entire thing lol

Since they ended up hiding out in Kun Lun anyways, I suppose you could argue they could have just skipped Wakanda altogether.
Not that I don't see the logic of hiding out in Wakanda... for the Avengers at least. But from T'CHalla's perspective, the vision of the Phoenix destroying Wakanda probably had to at least have given him some pause as far as choosing to hide them from the Phoenix in Wakanda. It's not hard to sort of connect the dots there.

Thing is, Priest didn't hate T'Challa. He didn't know anything about him other then he was always on the background. Once he researched and learned about him he came to like the character and what he stood for. That's different then Coates

I personally prefer Redjacks. Emh is a near second but loses points for the Skrull invasion showing wakanda had.
