I would be so happy if 616 Mayday came back and became Spider-Girl. She must be 6-8 years old now? She is younger than Normie Osborn, but Dylan Brock was born after Mayday and already looks older than Normie, lol. Anyway, it would have been a great idea for a run. It would be like Tomasi/Gleason run on Superman or Conway's RYV.
normie age make no sense dylan live a year in an alternate earth so he has that to age him but Normie is whatever

At this point, I think that if they want to bring a Mayday to 616 (big IF) she'll just be the current Mayday from MC2, just as a universe displaced character like Rikki Barnes. I don't think they'll introduce a new child May.
Basically them saying "here's a character you like, representing something you like, but we still don't like Peter being married and a dad".
616 Mayday is long dead. She was a miscarried baby. That happened in the 90s - the What If issue that introduced the MC2 universe and Spider-Girl was published soon after.
Indeed. ASM #418 is truly heartbreaking (T^T)

So they'll pull a Rachel Summers/Grey? That would be pathetic.

I mean that's just a theory, about the only thing that can even hint Mayday will be coming to 616 is that Timeless tease with some redhead dressing in a Spider-costume, and we don't know if that's Mayday (Hair length is wrong, arguably hair color too, but ASM#74 vol 5 showed Mayday as a redhead), and even if it is her, if it'll be for long or a brief visit.
But yeah, Mayday coming to 616 would be really weird, specially since Gwen already comes to 616 once in a while lol.
-
Yeah, Mayday had brown hair, originally short but later grown out to shoulder length? But that girl had long red hair like MJ. Length could be assumed to just be her growing it out some more, but colour, short of an error like that one issue, probably needs to be explained on panel (Franklin Richards and Jessica Drew were both stated to have dyed their blonde hair black for example).
-
I questiom how much of that teaser will become true.
The only ones that have come true so far were the ones that had already been announced by the time of release of Timeless (Pumisher as the leader of the Hand, new Iron Fist, Jack of Hearts return), while we got one that definitely is not happening (Ben Reilly as Spider-Man of LA). I don't think that teaser should be taken seriously, when we got explicit confirmation by editors that not all of them are going to happen.

Wasn’t that what Renee Your Vows was, and with Annie May.

Funny enough, it could have been retconned within a year or two if Tom DeFalco had had his way, since he seemed to be laying the groundwork for Spider-Girl (MC2) to be the proper and definitive future of Spider-Man, if not the MU as a whole, by hinting or implying that the stillbirth had been faked and baby May had been secretly kidnapped by Osborn('s agent), at least until he got booted from the book.

I'm not sure I've been more excited reading a comic than when Kaine returned, hunting down the Scriers. Kaine rescuing Baby May is a brilliant move that should've been made canon in 616.
At least we got Spider-Girl out of it!

It happened with Franklin Richards reality warping to bring his lost sister Valeria into the future so…
