Doesn’t really mean anything. Tomasi has recycled the name “Black Dawn” for multiple of his storylines with different characters that were totally unconnected from each other. There was an arc called “Injustice” in Superman that has nothing to do with the video game or it’s tie-ins.
Oh, I agree. I would be very surprised if there was any link between the current BB storyline and the upcoming "event." It is, however, interesting to have what appears to be similar "winter" themes showing up in close proximity to each other.

An issue of Justice League Adventures had a gathering of Ice Villains once.
It would be cool if this story focuses on virtually all of DC's cold/ice-themed characters such as:
Blue Snowman
Captain Cold
Coldsnap
Endless Winter
Ice
Ice Maiden
Icicle
Kiler Frost
Minister Blizzard
Mr. Freeze
You also have Blizard (Dark Nemesis), Chill (New Rogues), Chillblaine (Flash villain), Frostbite (Conglomerate Qwardian members)
Heroic side you have
Celsius
Frostbite (Kari Nansen, Icemaiden's sister)
Frostbite (Young Heroes)
Ice
Icemaiden
Icicle (Doyle Christie)
Snow Owl (People's Heroes)
Tundra (People's Heroes)
-
Minister Blizzard looks interesting - never heard of him.
If Endless Winter is something like that, the question is, does DC have enough FIRE heroes to counter them?
-
My Freeze
Captain Cold
Killer Frost
Icicle
Icicle Jr
Blue Snowman
Coldsnap
Minister Blizzard
DC has a lot of ice themed villains!

Let's see. Fire...er...well, pretty much any of them who can generate energy blasts, which are hot, or have heat vision. Firestorm? Who else?

Fire, Starfire, Firestorm, Hotspot, Red Star, Crazy Jane (Flaming Katy, Sun Daddy), Wild Fire, Firebrand.

So what if this is like convergence, a 2 month "fill in" event that gives time for DC to get the new relaunch in order? I remember bleeding cool running a rumor last year they were planning that before 5G got cancelled.
-
Ya know, that's very possible. Them having to completely reverse a line wide change can be rough even with a month's break due to the virus.

Uh, Superman and all the Kryptonians as well.

Good luck to the person who has to write it then, doubt they had much lead time.

This is probably that. A fill-in event so DC can sell some books before the next big relaunch.
Uh, Superman and all the Kryptonians as well.
And Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian - the Martians have heat vision too.

I was going for more of a pyrokinetic type of list of characters. Wouldn’t count heat vision. Basically Fire vs Ice

I think this is a good possibility.
I mean, many comics are ending in October (and more will likely end in November). So, DC might need something to fill the two months until the end of Death Metal.
