Found this from a Wonder Woman X(Twitter) fan:
Wonder Woman adaptations being divorced from feminism and the literal goddesses is a dumb choice. Hardly any of them explain that the Amazons are separated from the world as a result of patriarchal violence, so many think they are just stubborn manhaters
I mean, she's a pastiche of several characters, so I don't know that it would be needed. But she can exist on Earth WB ;)

Which ones, how many rogue Amazons have there been?
Which ones, how many rogue Amazons have there been?
Dalma will always be my favorite rogue Amazon, but there's also Inventa, Orana, Alkyone, and Derinoe (the latter two created after JLU). And Persephone in the animated WW film.

Thanks! I could only think of Alkyone, Orana, Magala and Derinoe.

You could make an entire team out of the numerous evil Amazons we've had.
-
You could make an entire team out of the numerous evil Amazons we've had.
You could prolly make them like Amazon Psycho Rangers where each of them has armors related to a specific legendary monster or beings. :p
-
Eh? Inventa was not an Amazon. She was from Cadmea. She was one of the Reform Island patients that escaped.
Naming Orana as a rogue Amazons a bit of a stretch considering she was basically a tamer version of Artemis down to claiming the title of Wonder Woman and swearing to bring peace to the world.
Dalma the straight Amazon.
Alkyone and her Circle of Myrta, Charis, and Philomela.
Derinoe, Hippolytas angry ex girlfriend.
Those are certainly villainous Amazons.
though there was also Ahnjayla, the hedonist Amazon for the made for TV movie.
and Panthea who was driven insane by a science experiment gone wrong.
And thats not even counting evil amazons within the Bana which had a fair few themselves between the Perez era and Amazons Attack.
So yeah...Could easily make a supervillain team with the evil eight Amazons.
-
Earth 1 Artemis and Antiope were also evil.

Don't forget post-crisis Astarte and her daughter Theana (though the latter did a face turn before being killed). And of course, Myrina Black.

I do have an idea for Amazon armor but it's more for three, maybe four specific heroic Amazons. I do like your Psycho Rangers idea. I've been thinking of an Amazon spinoff book or series with Artemis, Eoubea, Mala, Magdala, Amaya and Akila. The rogue Amazons mentioned could make for good villains.

Oh yeah. All you need is some distinctive designs and cool powers/weapons and you got yourself a fun villain squad.
All that is required then is a decent story and theme to set them up.

Would Dalma count either? From what I understand, all she did was flee the island and become a boxer.

She led a rebellion and convinced several others to disobey Aphrodite's law by removing her bracelets. She got imprisoned at the end of the issue... she's definitely a rogue.

Are we counting Mercy Graves as an Amazon here?

So new Birds of Prey, continuing the heist arc in Themyscira. So this is probably the wost idea Dinah's had in a while.
No joke [spoil] she has Green Arrow attack Diana to distract her, relying on special magical artifacts to keep her in place long enough for the Birds to escape. Does not work at all, Diana is only barely effected by the magic arrows, she immediately figures out whats going on, and is instantly back on the island.[/spoil]
To quote Rallo from The Cleveland Show, "You have made every worst choice imaginable in this situation." :p

That list gets so much longer if we start counting Bana Amazons

Did the Wonder Woman comics have telepathic aliens from Saturn before the Superman comics introduced the Legion of Superheroes?

I love this idea of a team of evil Amazons.
Perhaps their formation could be from the Superwoman of E-3 somehow going to Themyscira/Reform Island and forming the team. She explains who she is, where she is from and how she has battled WW numerous time. This helps form the team.
Did the Wonder Woman comics have telepathic aliens from Saturn before the Superman comics introduced the Legion of Superheroes?
Yes, I believe it so. I think the stories with WW and Saturn were in late '40's or early 50's, quite a bit before Superboy/man and the Legion.

Pretty sure there was a Martian Manhunter book in the 2000s that had Saturnians who were said to be an artificially created race created by the Martians.
Did the Wonder Woman comics have telepathic aliens from Saturn before the Superman comics introduced the Legion of Superheroes?
YUP! They did indeed!
Saturnites were introduced in 1944 https://comicvine.gamespot.com/wonder-woman-10-wonder-woman-and-the-invasion-from/4000-108798/
Saturn Girl was introduced in 1958 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Girl
So a pretty big time difference there

I think I vaguely remember hearing of that, but I don't think that it was in reference to either the WW Saturians nor the Legion ones.

Except it isn't the "classic" look. It's just the pre-NU52 look. Which is fine.
....we're never getting a Perez Diana, are we?

You will get an awful WW wearing a costume she wore one time (that coincidentally was also drawn by one McFarlane's buddies) and another 50 Batman based on one Batman issue from the 1979.

It's not; I think it may just be the lighting.

It is so wild that it has taken this long for McFarlane to do something close to a "classic" Diana after endless variants and his own design, and yet it's not even that "classic" in that it wasn't actually around that long. I'll likely pick it up, but I wish the face sculpt were as good as the one they did for Knightfall Catwoman or the amazing Uma Thurman likeness on the new Ivy figure. This one feels a little off somehow.
