I'm not really following the panels here very well. Does Bruce have some kind of stake that he is trying to use against Diana? Does it break off on her skin, or did she deflect it?
And what hit her in the last panel? Was that a motorcycle and who was riding it? Good thing about her super speed or lack thereof when she can hear it coming from the previous panel. Did the motorcycle hit knock her out?
I whole heartedly agree.
It goes to show that comic book art should first and foremost be clear in terms of the reader being able to understand what is going on. Needless to say, I don't mean plotwise, I mean literally, we should understand what the heck is happening on the page, which will defintely help understand the narrative/plot.

She is preoccupied w/wanting to turn Batman, hears the Motorcycle, and gets hit. Her speed has nothing to do with her heating it.

Well, we know her speed has nothing to do with it. Batman seems to be able to tag her as much as she does him.
Usually, most people from all walks of life and all walks of media, get power boosts when turned into a vampire. Faster, stronger among other senses. Poor old Diana just gets plot ridden dumber when this happens.
But go ahead, play devils advocate and tell us how everything is cool with the vampire arc. How the lasso can't work, etc...
And who was riding the motorbike?

Check out the issue 2 or 3 discussion thread for my thoughts on those things.

There's no rhyme or reason anywhere to be seen. Not with characters' powers, their skills and intelligence...not even vampire lore. We're looking at the worst kind of fan fiction writing--the kind that ignores any and every point so long as the authors' favorite characters look cool.
Wonder Woman's fast enough to deflect arrows being shot at her, but not fast enough to block a severely injured Batman hitting her in the chest with a stake. She's tough enough to tank the stake, but was getting knocked on her ass by Bruce a few moments earlier and then gets run down by a motorcycle.
Hawkgirl sits there and lets Vampire Diana pick her up and bite her without resistance. But the, again, severely injured Batman can fight her off.
He also claims that Martian Manhunter's alien physiology might protect him from getting turned into a vampire. What are you basing that on Bruce? And why is the alien J'onn immune, but not the alien Superman? Why not the demi-god Diana? Or a freaking gorilla?
Speaking of...as I said, even the vampire lore is nonsensical. We see Batman wound Vampire Di with holy water. Stop and think, guys...according to vampire lore, why does holy water hurt them? Same reason a crucifix hurts them: it's blessed. It's divine. You know...from god.
GOD.
Wonder Woman, if she's not part god, is blessed by multiple gods. She carries around a weapon that was forged by the gods. Going by this logic, shouldn't Vampire Hal have burned to a crisp the moment she wrapped him in the Lasso?
Or do the pagan gods not count? Vampires are only hurt by Christian religion and nothing else? Okay, racists.

I'm joking with the racist bit, BTW, but my other points still stand.
Honestly, I think at this point DC vs. Vampires has crossed the line from insultingly bad to laughably bad. It's somehow managed to out-dumb DCeased which is no small feat. We're in Mystery Science Theater territory now. Which could've been fun, too, but unfortunately they decided to the tell the most by-the-numbers Bat-god bollocks possible.
And we're not even halfway through.

Quoted for truth!!!
Bravo

Poor Hawkgirl was in a state of shock which lead to her downfall.
As far as holiness....while it would be cool if Diana being if divine n nature made her a bigger threat, like anything vampires having a weakness against Christian gods and not every god in the universe is sometimes im fairly fine with.
Conparing a Gorilla to a Martian/true aliens....these things should affect them differently.
Other things i agree with for the most part. It's a popcorn event so i just expect decent writing and it not turning into a full blown bat-fam event.

So....what you are saying that despite everything that you have seen or heard about the DCvampires event, you think it is decent writing? I don't know if you have been buying the issues, but you really think this is decent writing?!? Are you that much of a BatGod fan that you can call this decent writing? I know I am repeating myself, but like Guy McNichts has said, this is Mystery Science Theater bad, so if you think of that as more of a popcorn event, I stand corrected.

Given how fast it came out after DCeased, I've seen some describe it as the cash crab cheap sequel you get when a Slasher film does well.
Which, I think's a bit unfair. Slasher sequels are usually better written than this. :p
Guarantee DC will be putting out some version of "DC vs. Werewolves", " DC vs. Alien/Predator Legally Distinct Knockoffs", "DC vs. Creatures from the Black Lagoon", etc. :p

Wtf are you talking about. Have you ever seen Primal Slayer comment on the Batman forum? (not that there's a problem with that)

A. It is not that serious.
B. Did you even read what i wrote? Where i clearly said "other things i agree w/you for the most part"
C. If i were a batgod fan i wouldn't have been against this turning into a batfam comic.
D. Popcorn events are events that arent that deep and meant to be general fun. Tranaformers is a popcorn movie, it isn't anywhere near the level of Beast Wars.

Her speed has nothing to do with it. Because the writers nerfed her so much that humans can tag her and even damage her easily with their bare hands. Sigh.

The main reason why I think a revamped Priscilla Rich would be much cooler than Barbara Minerva is that Priscilla wears the carcass of an animal around her body. There's so much cool stuff you can do with that idea.
The best version of Barbara Minerva is the Geoff Johns take in the new 52. Barbara is such a horrible human being that she took what was supposed to be a neutral/beneficent god, and corrupted it once she gained his power. And that's something I wish woumd be brought to Priscilla Rich.
She wears the skin of a Cheetah spirit she killed and uses it's power for evil. There's so much symbolism there. Hercukes himself is famous for wearing the skin of a beast he killed as proof of his strength.
Oh and please drop the idea of Diana trying to redeem Barbara. Barbara should be a monster, who enjoys inflicting pain on others. And we should do more with the Golden Age idea of her programing others to become monsters like her, without them even knowing.
