6'2 is extremely tall for a woman so dictionaries describing Amazons as tall would likely be in reference to anything above 5'10.
I wouldn't mind her being taller than both but if anything one of them should be the shortest. Let Clark be 5'10 and Bruce 6' . Current average male height is 5'9.
But it's comics where every male has to be giants

Feeds into the "protector/provider" fantasy. And comic books are all about the fantasy.

I agree with you that Clark should be 5'10. I'm always annoyed that people think a 6'3, broad-shouldered, white man would somehow be "overlooked" or seen as a doofus. Men like that are usually noticed by men and women for their height alone. Add in broad shoulders and presumably a good education to be a journalist at The Daily Planet, and I never found the Donner incarnation of Superman to be believable. That being said, people would riot if Superman wasn't always the tallest or near tallest man in the room. Look at how people responded to Tyler's Superman being shorter than Mehcad's Jimmy/James.
I assume it's something on the smaller side - feel the same way about her returning as I do on Waid writing Superman, it'll be solid but I'm more interested in new voices.
Anyways not to poke the hornets nest but we did discuss Diana now canonically being 6'2 and 175 lbs and I missed it? Feels kind of small?

Nope I like it, I also like the New 52 Azz run, I just don’t really talk about WW stuff that is unpopular here. We’re around!
I would not be surprised if she’s involved with the WW video game. But if DC could get her to do a BL WW mini that would be cool too.
Hah, Conrad actually put out a tweet about that! Says it wasn’t his ideal but it was a compromise with editorial between what he wanted and what they thought was accurate. At least Diana is over 6 feet, that still makes her a tall woman.

Being 6'2 is pretty good to me. Amazons should be tall, not super tall.
I like Wonder Woman being 6'2" and 175 pounds. That is a good height and weight for within the DC Universe. After all, WW is an Amazon.
Now, just for a side comparison with some Marvel Universe super-strong heroines:
Valkyrie (Brunhilde): 6'3" 475 pounds Asgardianzon / Asgardian Amazon
She-Hulk 6'7" 650 pounds Gammazon
Power Princess 6'8" 282 pounds Utopiazon / Utopian Amazon
Thundra 7'2" 350 pounds Femizon

Always taller than Supes and Bats is and should remain the standard.
Btw am i the only fuckin weirdo that likes Earth One? (If you dislike it you dont need to quote me or explain to me why, Ive been reading people hating it for years)
Book one had some interesting things on Paradise Island and Etta was a step in the right direction (though not the best).
Volume 2 had an intersting story to tell, though still problematic.
Volume 3 was awesome and a really cool addition to her history.
But one major issue of Earth One is that Diana is a very thinly written character in all three volumes. The amazons have an ideology and quirks, and is just another person with the same ideology and quirks, apart from being open to man's world.

I wonder if it was rejected out of fear it was too similar to Dead Earth.
Because it also looks like Diana in a post-apocalyptic future fighting hideous things. Art style looks somewhat similar.
Though this appears to feature a family with Diana. Daughters, perhaps? Is one of them Hippolyta?
Definitely looks interesting, but I could see DC reluctant to release two "Diana in an ugly future fighting monsters" stories. Though, I imagine for fans that didn't care for Dead Earth, they might wish DC had gone with this one.

Not sure why everyone's suddenly on the Gail Simone train when her WW comics were not super well-received or popular. I'm willing to give her another shot but I'd rather see her on a new WW title and not on the animated series when her script for the 2007 film was so bad.

Tbf, I don't know if the final script for the 2009 film was her draft any longer. I think it was heavily rewritten by someone else
At this point, I also think her run has been re-assessed. It's certainly better than almost everything we've gotten since (besides Ruckas Rebirth, which is better, and parts of Cloonrad). I'm re-reading it now and it's more solid than it has a right to be considering the editorial nonsense she had to deal with.

I went through Simone's run about a year+ ago and found it pretty solid. Weakest parts were the Genocide stuff but the Circle, the team-ups with the GL, Power Girl, and Black Canary, and the Hollywood two-parter were all pretty enjoyable.
Though ironically I think the Simone story I enjoyed the most was her Conan crossover from a few years ago.

Genocide was the weakest bit. Though knowing she wanted it to be Knockout and was forced to change it at the last minute means we have to wonder how much the rest of it was altered. I know she also wanted to hand waive away Amazons Attack as "Circe did it", but was vetoed.
I also thought I read somewhere that she wanted to use Dr. Poison and/or Dr. Cyber, but I can't for the life of me remember where I read that. Cyber makes a cameo in Diana's vision of headless enemies in the Beowulf arc.
In a better world, Rucka would have been able to complete his run as planned and Simone would have come on board right after. OYL/Amazons Attack kneecapped two runs

Feels weak that it would have been Knockout...
Wasn't it that they were gathering soil from parts of the world where heinous crimes against humanity occured? I expected it to be some dark version of Diana's creation. Soil cursed by the Holocaust, etc. Some dark Pantheon bringing the creation to life. I guess a little too Devastation, which maybe was the problem with Genocide anyways ..

I actually prefer the version of Genocide we ended up with. Knockout has nothing to do with Wonder Woman, so why her of all people?
Maybe because people actually do like various Wonder Woman stories that Gail Simone wrote over the years?
Because Knockout was cool, Knockout had history and over everything Knockout made sense. The convoluted future corpse of Diana with red hair did not.

Knockout was cool and had history with people who aren't Wonder Woman, so the question still stands. Why would she be brought back as an enemy for Diana instead of Superboy or something?

There was the old god/New God dynamic and I could see Knockout as a good foil for Wonder Woman even before the Frankenstein transformation into Genocide. And like I said already, she made sense when the alternate version did not, complete with the red hair, green costume and love for spikes that Knockout and Genocide both shared.

That looks incredible, though if Evolution is any indication, the writing would’ve been terrible. The artwork is amazing though, and now I want Wonder Woman to have kids. It’s tragic the extent to which motherhood has been devalued, it feels like every mom in Hollywood is a passive-aggressive demon with a love for the bottle and/or an ad for Prozac
