This is what I would expect from Lazarus Gods event. Not what we're currently getting
This reminds me that Simone had to work around a lot things with the gods in her book. I kinda remember they were flying around in a spaceship at this point, IIRC. That part felt kind of disjointed to me at the time.
I can’t remember if this was around the time of Final Crisis when Granny Goodness was masquerading as Athena or another goddess for a bit.

I hate that I like the last 2 so much. I hate it when good costumes go to complete waste.

Second time in less than a year Diana's gotten a Shazam power-up.
Kinda funny that Dark Crisis was meant to capitalize on Black Adam and this is clearly supposed to sync with Fury of the Gods only for both movies to have landed with a thud.

But does this make Diana any more powerful than she already was?

I don't think the people writing this even care to know.

It should basically give Wonder Woman the same powers she has already again, so it could be doubling if it's a full Shazam power-up this time and gets added, but considering who writes this i think the only power-up she truly gets from this is that unlike after becoming an undead she will probably not job to Mary Marvel :p

I know, right? That was just terrible.
But the costume is really nice. They could take out the lightning bolts and cape and make this her Island look.

The designs are great...she just needs stories to support them.
Though I think the RWBY stuff will be harmless fun.

Fellow Amazons, I got my "deluxe" edition of Who Is WW from the volume 3 era. Please be forewarned--it is the skimpiest "deluxe" Edition ever. No Foreward, no Introduction, no Afterward, and no new material not previously presented in the paperpacks or the other two hardcover collections. The size is a touch bigger but that is it.

Is this the Allen Heinberg story arc that took a million years to finish? A shame. I'm not going to waste my money then.

Did y'all see Wonder Woman in this month's issue of Nightwing?
[SPOIL] It's not the real Wonder Woman. It's a demon disguised as her who kicks a little Black super-powered girl across Themyscira. A very ugly visual. Especially during these times.[/SPOIL]
I like Tom Taylor, so I don't want to believe it, but I'm really starting to believe the Internet chatter that he has something against Wonder Woman. :(

Why I would pay to read Taylor's Nightwing when I go to Tumbler and Fanfiction.net to see where he's cribbing his notes from for free?

Twisted thought I know, but considering how Taylor has made his mark on both Batman and Superman, I feel like its a strong possibility that he might eventually write a Wonder Woman title of some-kind.

I hardly doubt he would ask to write her title or another solo book about her. But maybe his hatred towards her is big enough, to try to have more space to treat her badly, like in a solo title.

Let's hope he fails just like geoff johns did. Or does anybody really think he was able to have a lastimg impact that has new writers looking at him as a point of reference?
-
I don't really see Taylor doing much more with the Wonder corner than he already has. Seems like the only Wonder character he actually seems invested in is Donna. Maybe.

So, in Taylor's world, Wonder Woman and the Amazons are over-reliant on brute force.
Considering how he's written her in the past, that tracks.
The Wonder mythos need to put a restraining order on this guy. Dude is seriously sprinting to take Geoff Johns's title as one of the worst writers to inflict themselves on Wonder Woman and her world.
-
Sounds like a poor excuse to have Batgirl feel relevant in a story with Amazon training.
-
Its fairly amusing cause Batgirl isn't even one of the better martial artists on the Batfamily
She's a lot more on the lower end of the skill ceiling
-
Guess I'll give a controversial opinion related to the Taylor talk but in regards to Bruno Redondo.
Don't get the hype.

What mark has he left on Batman?
I can see Superman with the Jon Kent stuff (even if it didn't seem to pan out) but what's he done for Batman aside from that mini set in Europe.
-

I think Redondo gives the Nightwing book charm and he manages to nail the characters' personality, just enough so that they're appealing instead of insufferable. The book loses a lot everytime he's out because when translating Taylor's writing is very easy to come up with something that looks arrogant and obnoxious.

I was referring to his Nightwing run. Okay its a more Batman subsidiary but I think that still counts within the Batman line

Plus he has good eye for choreography. His action scenes generally flows pretty well and he tries his hand at some experimental action scenes like that one issue that was one continuous scene.

True, and he's generally pretty good at incorporating sound effects into his visual style as well.

Yeah, when you have a group of around a dozen people who are supposedly super-good martial artists... Yeah there's no way for them to all be equal to each other.

That's actually great and succinct way to describe Taylor's attempts at writing Diana ("alternate universe" or "regular" Diana). Always has the ring of unlikable arrogance to her even if she's supposed to be one of the good guys or when he's going for a cheap "girl power" moment.

Fair enough if one wants to count writing Jon Kent as leaving his mark on Superman. Though Taylor's kidding himself if he thinks more people aren't going to remember for the guy who churned out Injustice meme panels than anything he wrote in Son of Kal-El.

I think Redondo is an amazing artist who never works with writers who match his talents. Like, the Diana and Artemis story he did was pretty forgettable writing-wise but the artwork, especially the action? Absolutely stellar.

Tragic that he's doing Nightwing instead of trying something that's actually interesting, but at least he's having some fun with it doing the gimmicky stuff like the "one-spread" issue and the POV issue.
I kinda feel the same way about Nicola Scott on Titans but she got her flowers with Historia and deserves to do something lightweight for a while (sure would like to get more Black Magick though...). I'd absolutely love to see Redondo work with a great writer on something unexpected and challenging.

When you think about it, the comparison is fitting. He wrote 2 ongoings centering on the protégé/progeny of the World's Finest duo with the intent on propelling them to greater prominence in the DCU.
Now he failed completely with Superman but he's done well enough on Nightwing that its a sales hit and they are giving him Titans which is intended to replace Justice League as the big team book.
Which I'm not saying its a thing that will happen, but he or DC might feel tempted to have him write a Wonder-title. Probably a Donna Troy title if we follow the theme here.
