I'm still amazed that DC hasn't done any recent BIG Amazons/Gods vs. Furys/Apokolips event.
Granny should thirst for an Amazon to join her ranks
The Furies have seldom been used after their mini-series which all the incels were butthurt about.

There are still Amazon/parademons out there that everyone has forgotten about. Not to mention the fact Granny Goodness still hasn't gotten payback from Wonder Woman for her role in Amazons Attack. There are threads to pull to make Apokolips unravel. I'd like an all out war where the Amazons finally win.

What miniseries was that?

After how Amazons Attack turned out and the last god focused event being somewhat unremarkable, I'm in no hurry for the New Gods to get dragged into Wonder Woman.
Can anyone tell me if Olympus Rebirth and Artemis Wanted have been included on any TPB edition?
What miniseries was that?
It focused on rape culture and misogyny

Thanks! This kind of makes a big mess when trying to complete the collection on an organized way, but I guess they weren't going to reedit this in other formats...
All the big time Wonders as Wonder Woman. They each definitely tackled the role differently, that's for sure.

It's funny how the top three wore pants while the bottom three didn't. Although Artemis did straight up wear Diana's classic suit at some point.
Folks forget, Kingdom Come was never meant to be a blueprint on how to handle these characters properly. Each member of the Trinity screwed up in some way the 'real' versions wouldn't. Diana being a warmonger, Bruce being an authoritarian, Clark abandoning humanity....these were broken, failed versions of the characters, not them the way they're supposed to be.
I'd think Wonder fans would breathe a sigh of relief over it, honestly. Waid's not writing Diana as she should be, he's writing a failed version who had to fail in order for the dystopian future of KC to happen. Better this than him writing the main canon version is it not? Anything he does wrong here is actually doing right by that specific version.
Granted, DC saw the sales figures for KC and all the rave reviews and they learned the wrong lessons from it, for a long long time. But nothing Waid does today is going to make KC's influence any stronger. And I feel like the one person we can trust at DC to remember that KC isn't meant to be a blueprint is Waid himself.
So Kingdom Come Wonder Woman was similar to Injustice Wonder Woman?

Everything about this cover is great! It's sort of weird though how Donna is the only one without a breastplate/emblem and that throughout her long history she only wore a tiara/headgear when she was WW.

Do you count Cassies headband as headgear?

Stars are kind of her thing.
Do you count Cassies headband as headgear?
Yeah, sort of, like that thing on Artemis' head that's not really a tiara but takes the place of one.
I'd really like to see how Donna would look with her own breastplate though. I'm thinking her costume could be just like it's pictured here but with a silver eagle over it like Yara's =W=.
While I'm asking for stuff I'd also like to see what Artemis keeps in her utility belt too.
So Kingdom Come Wonder Woman was similar to Injustice Wonder Woman?
Ohohoho no far from it. KC Diana is jaded and lost her way but she's still ultimately a good person and a hero. Hell the only person KC Diana actually kills is Von Bach, a full on Nazi and she only did it because Von Bach was about to kill someone else.
Injustice Diana is more like Flashpoint Diana where both are murderous psychopaths who want to cut your head off with little provocation.

Nobody could expect how bad things would get after Perez run. Or mabe we can. Since Dc/WB's trackrecord with WW was terrible before Perez, and is still terrible today. So.

I think that the collection is poorly curated, it includes the back up story of WW #781-784: Road to Trial of the Amazons, which is the prelude to the main event and according to my criteria it should have been together with the original compilation of TotA.
Then it includes the aftermath stories to the main event, Olympus Rebirth (which I quite enjoyed), Artemis Wanted (which has the controversial retcon in the origin of Artemis) and Nubia Coronation Special (which is already compiled in Nubia Queen of the Amazons), also the story of Young Diana from the 80 Anniversary Special... So.

Ah, thank you so much my friend!
Yes, i would want the entire compilation of ToTA, not just the pre/post lude.

KC has its flaws and Waid himself pointed it out. It's just important to remember that it's a story about each of the big three dealing with their mistakes. It's just too bad WW wasn't well-written.
Injustice had an opportunity to learn from the past, but it's still a contrived story that NRS put together because they always insist on having stories in their fighting games and felt compelled to explain why the heroes were fighting one another. It almost certainly takes some inspiration from KC but it lacks KC's depth. Both are clearly commercial art, but KC got to be its own self-contained story whereas Injustice had to continue in service of the two games' premise and it had to be drawn out for a certain length of time. The similarities only run so deep, and I think comparing anything to Injustice is mostly an insult, but some of KC is in IJ's DNA.
Tangentially connected to Wonder Woman but Greg Rucka has written the story and screenplay for Heart of Stone, Gal Gadot's upcoming Netflix movie.
I guess this is the closest we'll get to a Wonder Woman movie written by him.

Well, at least the script should be on point!
Well, at least the script should be on point!
I'm not so sure, Greg recently talked at length about the process of writing for film during an interview on the Mimi Chan podcast, including how having your name on the thing doesn't make it clear just how many other people will change what you've written after you hand it in. It felt verrrrry much like he was distancing himself from it a little bit, or a least setting expectations that what's in the film won't exactly be what he wrote.

Trailer or fucking nothing
OMG, when I saw this trending on Twitter I thought it was more CBM BS concocted by Twitter. But h shit. it is right there in the video. Gadot herself says that "From what [she's"] heard from James [Gunn] and from Peter [Safran] is that [they're] gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.” https://comicbook.com/movies/news/gal-gadot-wonder-woman-3-james-gunn-peter-safran-dc-films/
Is she starring in it though? Developing and starring aren't always the same thing.
I like Gal. I wanted WW3 but i don't want her as WW in a new universe as id rather start fresh for 98% of the characters (100% ideally)

That's what I thought. It could mean that she will literally help develop the film in some sort of exec producer capacity or whatever, although that would be odd if you are going to call it "Wonder Woman 3" without her starring in it. I mean, why not say, "we are gonna develop a new WW film"? Saying "WW3" seems to imply that it is a continuation of Gadot's Diana journey. In any case, I would be ecstatic if Gal were to star in another WW film; her sweet-souled charm and screen warmth is what made me (and general audiences) fall in love with the DCEU Wonder Woman.
I don’t want any more DCEU Wonder Woman. Daddy Zeus, dead gods and supporting cast, crappy Cheetah...There's just way too much baggage there.
Bringing back Gal Gadot would be the fan-friendly move. I'm really more interested in what's the direction of the character, though.
I'm at least morbidly curious to see how they approach this.
I'm at least morbidly curious to see how they approach this.
Same here. More than that, actually, since I am a huge fan of Gadot's Wonder Woman. I just hope that whatever happens, they work overtime to ensure that the script is solid and the execution is solid as well. Regardless of who plays Diana, I want the next WW film to be good, well-made, and a big fat hit with critics and audiences, just like her first movie was.
I'll believe it when I see it.

My gut feeling is that it's simply to close her trilogy. An "Elseworlds" like Patterson's Batman films or the Joker films. I don't for a second believe Gadot will be the DCU Wonder Woman. I hope she can finish her trilogy and then move on.
