I was reminded of WW in All-Star Batman and to quote Aretha Franklin "uhh great art. beautiful art". She's so extreme it's almost comical.

This is so silly I can’t even be mad about it.
I don’t get why so mang people take All-Star Batman seriously. It's so obviously an intentionally bad parody. That's not to say Miller’s writing for WW (or anyone else) is ever particularly good.
It is a shame we never got a Jim Lee drawn mini when he was in his prime. I lived for his Diana.
Frank Miller (and Brian Azzarello) did the Amazon good in Master Race at least with having them slaughter the Kryptonians. Don't remember exactly how Diana was in that, but it was a further improvement that I remember (not hard to do).

Oh yeah, I forgot that Diana had to name both her kids after Clarks parents with Lara wearing none of Dianas lineage.

I see now that I said the Amazon which would imply Diana I ment the Amazons.
Yeah it was still bad, but that was expected from that creative team. Like you said extremely weird that the naming for example is both from Clarks side.

Looks like using the Finch Amazons to promo Paradise Lost might not have been just a random choice. Good chance the Daughter of Zeus origin stays I’d say. Hope he uses the Chiang designs for the Greek gods when/if he ever gets to doing DCU WW.

Getting better and better...
Honestly, not surprising at all. Azzarello's run sounds like something that would appeal to him. Perhaps his comment about Paradise Lost being like GoT was more literal than I thought, and we're about to get rapists Amazons in the live action :p

We've already known this?
Like outside of that time he promoted Historia because he need some good publicity what other WW stuff has he even bothered to spotlight? It's always Azz and Finch's stuff
Interesting choice to spotlight Lobdell.
I think some wonderfans need to remember that many people love this run or are wonderfans at all just thanks to Cliff Chiang's art.
Holliday Girls appearing in Power Girl 10.
Power Girl joins the Holliday Girls in this action-packed “House of Brainiac” tie-in! Goblin and his goons may have the neighborhood, but they’ll never break the spirit of our local hero and her new allies. With the biker gangs brawling, it’s now up to Crush and Paige to shut the Czarnians down for good. Can the power of brains, brawn, and beauty prevail?

People are way too quick to assume things just because Gunn says ****. He's said nice things about a bunch of conflicting versions of the character/lore (Historia, Earth One, now n52). It's clear to me that he has no strong personal interest in the character so he plans on giving the creative reins to someone else.
I'm also not too broken up by Patty Jenkins' "they have no plans for WW" comment for 2 reasons:
1. All she knows is that they don't want her WW. I doubt she knows more about their plans than anyone else does.
2. There's a 95% chance Gunn's DCU won't survive past 2026. Honestly WW's in a pretty good position - the Monolith game is one of the few upcoming non-comics DC projects that's more likely to come out than not. And I'd much rather get a unique, innovative AAA game with 50+ hours of cool stuff to explore than yet another pile of derivative CGI goop churned out of the corporate slop machine (which is what 90% of superhero movies are these days).

Holliday Girls reappearing in a Power Girl book is very much a monkey's paw moment for me...

It was the first Wondy run for me that I read and loved, and its strength is that unlike many other Wondy runs it tells a complete self-contained story. I totally get why it’s take on Wondy and her Mythos is hated, and I’d go with something in the vein of Rucka Rebirth myself (which I also loved).

It's rather difficult to forget when some of those people still bring up that Amazons procreate through rape :p

I didn't see that coming!
It's a shame the book isn't great. A well-written Karen and classic Holliday Girls would be a great team-up.
Guess since this is in the news so relevant but I don't like New 52 takes on the Gods. The only ones I liked where Hades and Apollo but Zeus and Hera weren't anything special, Poseidon and Athena are straight up bad, and Ares being Azzarello is cringe.
I feel they only get praise because they weren't just the usual dudes in togas. But even in comparison to other takes on the gods, they fall seriously short.

Just pointing this out, but this is how Gunn is going to handle his new universe as a whole. He's taking a creator-focused initiative where he'll get a bunch of creatives on these projects, and just let them cook. Him letting someone else be the major story-teller for WW is the intention, not a sign of him being disinterested in her and so he's pawning her off on someone else.
James Mangold is in talks to direct Swamp-Thing and if he's fully on, Gunn will let him roll with his ideas while having little executive influence on his part.

At first I was like has Power Girl gotten her own team called Holliday Girls :p
It's official. The Teen Titans will get a live-action film in the DCU. How much we wanna bet that Wonder Girl, any Wonder Girl, will not be part of the lineup?

Yeah probably not. :(
But it will be interesting to see who will be members. Damian is the Robin after all and Blue Beetle will probably be on the team.

How about maybe a little optimism, would that hurt?
Even if it doesn't happen it doesn't hurt to hope a little.

99% wont. They dont even know what they want to do with Diana, let alone a protege
Cartoon team but with Damien is my guess.
Wonderdon in TBATB.

I doubt they'd introduce a Woder Girl before Wonder Woman, so it's very unlikely.
Donna does not have to be called Wonder Girl nor do you really need any direct nods to WW.
Well yeah, they probably won't have Kid Flash, Aqualad or Speedy either
As long as Wonder Woman (and the other members of the Justice League) is mentioned there is no reason they can't introduce Wonder Girl (or the other Titans) before her. Diana is most likely already an active hero, no origin is needed.
Donna does not have to be called Wonder Girl nor do you really need any direct nods to WW.
It is the only thing we would need to deepen the lack of respect towards WW fans.
Well yeah, they probably won't have Kid Flash, Aqualad or Speedy either
I wouldn't be so sure of them not having Aqualad.
Aquaman 2 just became the only DCEU direct sequel to not be an embarrassing financial disaster (and it already was the sequel to the DCEU's biggest hit). Additionally, the randomness of Supergirl (not Wonder Woman) being the first female superhero to get a DCU solo film while Diana 's fellow Trinity members get their solos , plus all the other contradictions in Gunn's overarching plans (some characters from the DCEU are staying in the DCU while others are not, some DCEU events are canon, while others are not, etc) makes me think the new universe will be like, whatever.
I doubt they'd introduce a Woder Girl before Wonder Woman, so it's very unlikely.
I mean, they will probably have Midnighter appear before Batman. And Apollo and Midnighter teaming up years before we see the World's Finest team up.
I don't think DCU is going to be very planned or coherent.
I don’t see why that would be necessary. Just because Apollo and Midnighter are pastiches of Bats and Supes? I think the audience will be smart enough to pick up on that regardless.

It is still jarring to see the knock off versions appear in the cinematic universe before the real deal.
Imagine if USAgent appeared in MCU before Captain America?
It feels all over the place. Better to be built a universe in a systemic manner.
That's not even on the same level
I agree, its much worse.
At least Wonder Girl appearing can be explained with a throwaway line confirming Diana exists somewhere and doing something important.
But getting to see the parody versions of the character before we see the actual characters sounds like a bad plan.

They wouldnt be parodies. They exist in the same exact world. One dresses up as a Bat. The other doesnt. One has personality...the other...doesnt.

As expected laser_man is making a big deal out of absolutely nothing. This is nowhere near anything of an issue that he's making.
Just highlight their differences instead of obsessing over their similarities. Hell it would be easy to do as you simply need to highlight Midnighter being a violent maniac who gleefully kills people and brags about the computer in his brain.
Batman..... obviously wouldn't do any of that and its a good way to establish his no kill rule by contrasting his morality vs a man who has little of it.

Like how we got a Supergirl show where we only saw glimpses of Superman before he appeared for real and then later he got his own spin off show that was better than every other CW show?
