I’m glad I retired back in 2013. I really wouldn’t have wanted to deal w. COVID as an active duty Soldier.
Thanks, DNG. I don't want to get into a pissing contest with vets. For me, I just keep getting up and going in everyday. I imagine just like vets did.
I didn't mean it to sound like I was eliciting a criticism of anyone from you.
My question was: is there something the rest of us can do that front-liners like you would find supportive or encouraging?
Thanksgiving was a day of feast. I am thankful for nothing. and the least of all, this boring and mundane life
This year, it had to be the health of those I care most about. COVID has kept away from all family members so far (or it's probably vice versa).
I'm very thankful to have survived so far a virus with a lower death rate than the flu.
Yeaaaah.

You know this isn't true, right?
A typical year has 45-50 million flu cases, but only 60k deaths.
COVID-19 cases are about 10% of that, but with 3-4 times as many deaths.
