Anthony Mackie also thinks that the BP franchise has always been about Wakanda and not about the Black Panther.

Well if his only exposure to the character was the MCU I can’t blame a casual for having that perspective, especially in light of the grief he may be feeling after his coworker’s death. Many people walked away from the first movie thinking the real star of BP was Wakanda itself. Hard to accept as fans of T’Challa first but it is what it is. We’ll see how that colors T’Challa’s depictions in future comics, games, and cartoons.

IDK why you guys keep looking for reasons to be sad.
Actors don't speak against the people that employ them lol.
The mouse especially does not tolerate people not on the company line.
Why y'all think Letitia is still MIA lol?
I don't blame Mackie one bit. Get yo money black man

BPII is either gonna work (aka make money) or not (aka under perform). And only then will we know if they will backtrack. There is literally no interview, quote, petition, or anythign that will change it at this point. Only $$$
It truly boggles my mind that the awesome idea of Wakanda having a galactic empire was butchered. The only way I can see the empire sticking is if a future writer decides that T’Challa has the empire chilling out in the cosmos but will call them up if a major Thanos level threat shows up. Basically it can be called upon as a last resort.
Just saw that he's producing a Bitter Root comic with Regina King directing. I think he'll go back to directing smaller features, but keep producing bigger films after BP2.

I’m really excited for Bitter Root and hope it elevates David Walker in every industry he’s currently working in. Great comic.

I try not to but it pains me to see the MCU taking a different direction with the BP franchise that we did not anticipate.
Anthony Mackie has nothing to worry about. He's Black Captain America so hey, get yo money black man

Gotta admit this is a dope image. Would have been interesting to see T'Challa and Sam talk about the pressures of handling such an important mantle. sigh

Or if it becomes another Last Jedi. Because you know how hard Lucasfilm tried to course correct when it split the fandom, even more so after John Boyega roasted them.

Yet, the Black Panther begs to differ.

GET YO MONEY BLACK MAN!
Honestly, seems to pay more to get your Indy stuff big enough for the big dogs in the entertainment industry to adapt it to something else.

Uh oh. Hate fueling Ekie and crew. In that same interview he says Marvel approached them about continuing on shortly after Chad's death. He thought they werent doing the film. However, the odd part he did say it in a surprise-type tone.

Late to the party, it was already posted a last page.

I dont think the actual video was posted. This provides full context. However, again its interesting since he implied it was Marvel wanting to still have the film come out on time.

The irony of the only white dude being like, "wait should we do this" lol
