Absolute agony. What reason could DC have for rejecting that?

Kind of interested to know more about it.
I feel like I’ve seen another piece of artwork that was very similar, was a Superman walking through a post apocalypse Metropolis. Was that Hardman as well I wonder? Between this and Ignition DC doesn’t exactly reassure me they have good taste when it comes to pitches. How does Frank Miller get a BL Superman book over reaching out to Hardman for this?

It reminded me of that JL episode where he was perceived dead and teamed-up with Vandal Savage in a post-apocalyptic future, which I think was based on a comic story.

Yeah that episode was based loosely on this:

Well the artwork is dated 2015, around that time DC wasn't really producing any Elseworlds style content, no? You had the main line, you had Earth One, and that was basically it if I recall correctly.

Told Hardman he should try and pitch it again to the new regime, I want to see this get made.

Pretty awesome :D.
Tedesco is establishing himself as a definitive Superman artist through variants alone lol. I’d love to see him do a big “Supermythos” spread like Fabok did for Tec 1000.

Heh, agreed. The variant for AC 1035 is anachronistically great; Supes looks like a total throwback yet Lois is modern and it works perfectly.

Like colorists, I’ve only recently started to appreciate how much impact inkers have on how art looks.
