Doom would think he is more intelligent that just about anyone currently in power in the RW. I do feel he would only look at Trump and shake his head. Trump is such an anti-intellectual that Doom would only see him as a useful idiot to manipulate.

Good to know I'm not the only one who uses real life politicians as reference for Doctor Doom :D
Things have been quiet lately with no Doom appearances on the horizon. Nothing in the April solicits.
Artist Cian Tormey posted this a little while ago on his Twitter.....I like the photo reference he is using ;-)
I wonder if this Darkhold event or whatever is being worked on again. I recall there was a cover with Doom on it but I don't know if this was something that got "lost" in the pandemic.

I honestly have always enjoyed seeing both Doom and Wanda in the Same Artwork and Covers together, as go for Villains and Heroes together in the Same Artwork they both work so well with each other! :-)

I'd known that there was this 3D model around for a little while now. So I bought one off of etsy.

So if you have a 3D printer apparently the art is out there to print this out, I don't know if you have to pay for it or if it is open source. Anyway, I think 3D printers are really cool and if I have the time maybe one day I'll get one and tinker with it. It would definitely be cool to make things to go with all the Doctor Doom figures I have, like cauldrons or thrones or backdrops.
Anyway, for now I'll just buy what other folks have printed. I'm going to paint this model this weekend. I'll keep y'all updated.

I have to admit I am befuddled by 3d printers. What kind of material is used to create that? I just can't wrap my head around it since I go back to the old noisy line printers we had back in the day.
I was hoping that we would get a Doom storyline soon but.....this is like the wish you get from the monkey's paw

Yet another rumor about Doom's inevitable debut in the MCU. I've seen this one a couple of times before in the past year but there are reports again this week at the usual comic news sites that Michael Fassbender is being considered for the Doctor Doom role in the MCU. It wouldn't be the first time that an actor in the Fox Marvel films made the switch to the MCU. But with Chris Evans there wasnt a very gap between Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) and Captain America: The First Avengers (2011). Then this brings us back to the the issue that Doom is mostly masked. We'll just have to wait and see what develops.
Painted the 3D model Doctor Doom bust.

Finished.

The eyes were particularly difficult to do. The paint is an acrylic modelers paint from Vallejo. It's easier to work with than the usual enamel paint but requires a couple of coats. It dries quickly and more matte finish, which is good. The metallic colors were more tricky but they came out good too.
that looks great. what material is it made of?

I can't stress this enough but Wegotthiscovered is not a valid news source and anything it says can be written off as bullshit.
Doom somehow getting the power/or becoming the Avatar of Cyttorak is a pretty cool idea to be honest, I'm sure he'd just use it to try and usurp Cyttorak himself. I'm sure this story isnt about that though.
To make up for that atrocity of a visual, here's a Mark Brooks Doom:

Thanks Ravin' Ray... I have to repeat someone else's question on that Twitter thread. Is that Johnny and Victorious? I don't know if that is going to go over very well back home in Latveria. ;) I know Johnny was hitting on her earlier.

Oh to be sure I realize this is clickbait stuff and then it gets propagated across other sites. Checking back further, they also ran a piece on this back in September last year.
In the middle of writing a review of the Harrowing of Doom novel and was getting all my materials to reference and found a brief interview by the author, in case anyone was interested!
