from my perspective both her mutant abilities and divinity are tied to her DNA. when that was changed her access to those abilities were lost as well. that said, instances that directly are target to her xgene such as mutant depressing tech she should still have access to her goddess powers. in regards to how they differ, one is based in natural/physical realm the other is based in magic/faith/divine realm.

yall sword book is number 2 for internet sales above justice league, Wolverine and thor. Marvel give her a damn solo:

You know I'm pretty sure this isn't the case at all, and not remotely what Ewing was trying to convey, but what if the reason why Storm was only half mutated is because only half of her is mutant and Tarn couldn't touch the other half?

That jump in sales had nothing to do with Storm though. Even though she was on the cover, was the main point in the synopsis, and preview. Storm had nothing to do with that boost. Delusional, I say. Delusional!
I would be happy to see it come out and play. I mean the last time we really saw Storm go all out has been how long? Rogue Storm?
it has been far too long. That is for sure. lol

I disagree here. In the sense that Tarn specifically says he turned off her mutant powers. Also beyond that it seems only mutants can challenge for the throne of Arrako so even if Storm did use goddess powers it would have been cheating.

if it wasn't about Storm, what was it about? Because everything was connected to her, from the synopsis to the plot '--'

This actually makes ALOT of sense. He does specifically say he took her mutant powers "but just in case." So what was he trying to do and what was the just in case about.

I think Subliminally was being as sarcastic as marvel was trying to be with their diversity pushes of the past.
Reused spandex, anyone? lol

Can you imagine if she had said that line again? "Am I not beautiful, Lord Doom?"

Haha, was just sarcasm!

Yeah it didn't really click until I was told that Tarn can only manipulate mutant DNA. I assumed he could shake up the whole bag like Elixir. But it does sort of make you wonder if maaaaaaaaaybe Ewing was trying to drop a tiny seed.

Yes.
And damn. It is too late in the night to be scalping people like this.
I have a question for the Storm thread. In the S.W.O.R.D. #8 review thread a few posters (or maybe just one) mentioned that when Tarn took away Storm's mutant abilities she should have used her goddess abilities. I know she is a goddess but I did not know she had abilities associated with that title/state. Would someone be kind enough to tell me how her goddess abilities differ from her mutant abilities please? Thanks in advance.
So far all we know is it lets her power works on things they don't normally work on. And we also know there is a complete goddess in there somewhere that was awakened in shuri when she was under the influence of mushrooms, no faith required.

10/10 would not mind Storm needing Marvel weed to access a higher consciousness.
