She really does! And I'm not sure. If it is I hope Ewing continues to write her because I've yet to see this "powerful Storm with the Goddess cred" he spoke about in his interview. I mean character wise we've gotten MORE than enough confirmation that Storm is indeed still a badass warrior without her powers and even when her body is severely and painfully disfigured. Ok cool. Now remind us and everyone else why she is deemed an Omega level mutant. He said he was talking with other writers for possible feats? Nice. Perhaps he talked with Duggan and will incorporate why Storm is the Omega of Omega's.

I guess, I don't know why but I am not feeling this announcement as much as I would have hoped. I heard about it last week and was waiting for marvel to officially confirm and I am still not as jazzed up as I think I should be. Hope the new episodes is amazing and yes we get feats but in-depth look at her ancestry.

Yh all I can say is that I am waiting for the goddess cred he was talking about in that interview of his. As to very powerful sooo far it's been meh visually stunning yes but still meh these are basic things she should always and has always done at least she is using wind instead of lightning only so that's a plus I guess. Aside that I am not seeing the correlation between his statements and the results or maybe he was talking about political power? Maybe this new issue would woow me.

I mean Storm was always the powerhouse of the team that's not even up for debate. We saw in the Savage Land episodes what power she had at her disposal. Fast-Forward into 2021(or 2023) and there's no reason to think she still wouldn't be that powerhouse. And like you said, there's all the chance in the world that we could get Storm centric episodes since both X-Men evo and Wolverine and the X-Men gave us those.
Thanks. Now I'm curious to know if his fluid is made of sterner stuff or if this was just another run of the mill cold manipulation feat.
The latter I am afraid. Freezing suspension fluids is kinda ohk. Nothing really major about it.
-
I'm waiting to hear more and see some animation and character design specs before I get invested. 2023 is a long ways off so I have no feels about this news either way. When I see some visuals then and only then they'll get my attention.

Oh I know full well that she was THEE power in the xmen. The finisher of battles, the biggest gun. She was soo powerful that her power had it's own theme song.
But I still feel a bit unmoved by the announcement maybe it's because I now want to see the product before I get excited, expectations are a pre requisite for disappointment afterall my friend.
Really hoping there are storm centric episodes, 2023 is far off so we have all the time to dream and hope.

I finally realized where I'd seen similar treatment of a "cloud cape" as Storm wears in her Hellfire Gala/Regent of Arakko garb.
Shadow Lass of the Legion has, in recent versions, been shown to have a cape composed of shadows instead of conventional material. Not saying one influenced the other at all, just a neat idea that works for 2 character that I LOVE.

Pretty much. I'm happy it's announced since it's something new to look forward to but it's not like I'm clearing my schedule for it.

That's very cool. I would have never though to use darkness/shadow manipulation like that.

The way she remains ellegant and charming even after demolishing a building, Goddess this woman is perfect, I love that perspective of hers, has a power to tear down worlds and solar systems, but always delicate

It would be fascinating for Storm to defeat him, whereas Kallark couldn't, I don't know the power level of Gladiator, but he should be able to fight characters like Thor and Hulk.
