Yupp.
If I got the event correct...it was some Asgardian God who needed to subvert the heroes by offering them power by basically lying to them yaddahyaddayaddah. It was a tragic mess, apparently.
If I remember correctly the vast majority of people who accepted the power or glimpsed themselves with the power turned out corrupted. Apparently Snow White Kitty Pryde is incorruptible so she saved the day.
Also Teen Angel got the power up and was... fine I guess? They basically just made it an aesthetic change so that his wings could be on fire.
thnk you boo.. i guess there was a reason why I didn't read that mess. the obsession with that character i will never understand

I think this was actually from the Black Vortex crossover with Guardians but both were a mess.

Yes! You are absolutely correct. I knew I was not getting it right. And the BV was written by Sam Humphries. So forgettable.
exsctly!! I know others saw their potential full power. were they also evil?
IIRC, fhe Black Vortex came from a Celestial, people who use it are transformed into their ultimate form. The vortex caused anyone who used it, to be somewhat under its mental control causing them to want/protect the vortex.
Storm saw herself in the vortex but immediately knew it needed to be destroyed.

I have been wondering we know storm at one point will become a fully elemental being that can evolve into new forms constantly ever-changing as we saw from the alternate timeline. In that state can't she then become a nebula capable of creating planets, star systems and even galaxies? Hypothetically speaking ofcourse.....

I see. so was it ultimately destroyed?
imagine marvel writing a story like this in canon but not tied to Wonder Wonder but written with her lineage and African pantheon in mind:

It's pretty safe to say that ive literally missed nothing of real importance regarding Ro's character. And it's been a while since ive posted on here, still wondering what those "BiG pLaNs" are. This is Boom or bust for Ro honestly.

This article actually details correctly what occurred in the book unlike the cbr one which stated storm utlized god-like powers with her omega level powers smh. No CBR nothing in that book mentioned omega mutant and she wasn't described as godlike anything:

I have to say i am re-reading reading Dawn of X trades and just got to v8 and i have to say Giant Size silent issue is really more of a masterpiece than i even thought. Storm's mental defenses are off the chain.
First you have the two creatures that very well could be divine avatars. Then as they were walking up the stairs i notice all the eyes on the wall watching them and i realized those were Ororo's eyes so on some level be it subconscious or not she is observing people walking in her mind and the eyes slowly start to light up and shoot lightning. To which ororo then uses her own fear of tight spaces, which i am sure something a telepath would use against someone and turns it on the telepaths, even if subconsciously, instead using that fear to try to bury them alive and even then their was a cocoon she would have been in inside her mind. The virus literally had to implant itself under all that and hid so her mind never actually became aware of it. It was a truly sinister virus and the only reason Emma/Jean were successful is because of how well Jean knows Storm.
