This era is full of lip service, doesn't even look like he had many issues of marauders to show how she is powerful and never did it.
I will give that Dugan is good to control narrative, even doing zero work

I do agree that the his stories were quite lacking. it was mostly lightning lass. however, we did she her defeat death while drunk using h2h and knull just mentioned she was his strongest avatar and he had possessed characters like Thor, hulk invisible woman, and Dr strange. thats a pretty bold statement so there is at least some 616 evidence that has gone beyond just lip service.
I was thinking ... does Storm leaving Marauders would have anything to do with Planet Size?

It's not as though any of the Omega's have been going full-on Omega throughout their appearances in their respective books. It's not like they do Omega All Day Every Day.
And so far none of the threats the Marauders have faced has even warranted an Omega response.
And Storm is an Omega but even she was captured by Knull. So her Omeganess clearly does not necessarily mean omnipotent.

Truth. No point in rewarding an author who clearly has not delivered in terms of characterization and power usage for Storm. I am so glad she is leaving this title. She's been way too thin in Marauders.
Still, I have always wondered why Hickman paired down the number of omegas. Cause so far it has no story relevance or impact on the narrative across any of the books.

I have not seen any evidence that the xoffices have acknowledged hadari yao but I hope that changes in the near future.

I think he got a small number because writers started to say their fave was a omega, it became a omega fest. The word lost its meaning. being a omega should be something very rare.
Yeah, I don't see the point in rewarding him for a tweet and one line in comic when he had a entire series to develop storm and never did that. It's good that he is saying she is powerful, but we all know about it.

I most certainly have stated marauders was lacking (especially vitas issue) however having the Knull God state ororo is the strongest of his new avatars is indication he's doing more than just lip service. Yes a lot more needs to be done but seeing evidence of her strength both in 616 as well as from the current xmen writer is a step in the right direction and worth celebrating. it certainly is better than seeing her say "there is no weather" resulting in her being powerless or ineffective against a cloud.

I'm one of the ones who personally have been enjoying maraduers. But haters going to be haters. They can discredit what he says but tomorrow they will be screaming about whats canon in print. *shrugs*
The entity that was inside all those heros and took over their body said what he said and so did duggan.

and you know I've not been a marauders fan but I give credit when it's due. its clear, even if at this point we haven't really seen it, he believes her to be the strongest omega and he has already canonically stated she is the strongest in comparison to marvels biggest heavy weights. therefore, with this is mind and he saying this summer will be fun for storm fans I am most certainly excited for what's to come. It was quite a good and interesting article. I do hope Storm reaches the heights as he explains and becomes more powerful than the well known Thor, so Thor can find his better. I learned so much more in-depth about her and the original idea. I just hope that they will accomplish it.

I thought is was a great read and further supports that at the time she was conceived then subsequently debuted in giant sized she was always intended to be a top tier powerhouse. this was not something that was decided upon later in her career due to retcons or later upgrades. it has always been there. the interesting thing for me is that this article appeared to have been written a year or so after her debut and she apparently had already shown her powers had surpassed Thor. the thing is after Claremont stopped writing her she was not consistently shown to be the powerhouse we know her to be with the exception of feats Trion feat.

I Just Saw these in the Marvel Preview Book at one of My LCS and we where talking about how we liked these looks allot!
I was theorizing with my friends if this was a form of Krakoa Fashion Maybe, making new looks for the Krakoa Society to represent their country and their culture. =)

it needs to happen. honestly she was always there but I believe the writers who came after her didn't necessarily liked that vision for her and we saw what resulted. lobdell definitely did a number on her.
