I think Isca might show Storm a bit more respect than she does Xavier and Magneto because iirc she actually saw Storm defeat her nephew Death pretty easily. But I don't expect Isca to treat Storm as an equal at first because Storm still believes in coexistence with humanity and isn't a warmonger at heart.
As the SWORD #8 solicits hint, Storm constantly having to prove herself to the Arakki will probably eat away at her soul and make her question who she is as she tries to keep the planet stable and act as its voice. It'll be a balancing act but I hope by the end of it she earns the respect of Isca and the rest of the Great Ring because it seems inevitable that they'll end up clashing.
I want storm to personally give Isca and crew the same energy she gave here:

she seriously shouldn't give two f's about their respect and demand that they respect her. she needs to take them back to her punk, outback days so they can learn she is not to be played with.

I think she'll give all of that and more lol. War is the only thing Arakki respect and that's what Ororo's gonna have to give them until they put respect on her name!
But it will be interesting to see how they try to characterize this relationship, appointing a non-Arakki who has never lived among their people to act as one of their leaders could be perceived as colonial. JWD hints they'll be exploring that so I'm wondering how Storm will come off and they'll continue to play her as more morally ambiguous.

Agreed, especially about the Arakki. Probably one of the best concepts to come out of this whole era so far. I know (and to an extent agree) that this era shouldn't create too many new mutants, but the Arakki are such a neat idea it'd be creatively irresponsible not to explore the mutants in that culture and see how Storm interacts with them.

I agree with all of your points. I'm actually very curious to see how ororo confronts this new obstacle. Its one thst is not unfamiliar to her but seeing an Ororo who has to embrace the culture that comes with the Arakki who thrive on war will be interesting to read. Its going to make her confront some of her attitudes towards life and death which I think will be an interesting treat. A fully realized storm as a goddess who preserves the balance of all natural things will know that with life comes death and with war comes peace when working in true balance. Ying and Yang.

Between this and her Fortnite appearance, it seems like Marvel is finally recognizing her as one of their franchise icons again. Ororo is the only character featured here who’s not in the MCU, that’s huge!

This is exactly what I thought!!! It makes me really happy to see this Dip after so many years of neglect. I'm enjoying seeing her return back to her position of one of the most iconic Marvel characters. As you said, for her to be the only none MCU character is huge that spot typically would go to Wolverine.
