I must say after seeing the full fight even though many predicted the winner death battle managed to make the match pretty balanced. the rationale provide by the creators was also spot on which lets me know information about ororo power seemingly is well known (thiugh u saw commentary today where someone mentioned all she can control is lightning). why many continue to lowball her in battle forums always will baffle me.

after seeing the fight i can say that Death Battle were more creative with the use of Storm powers than a bunch of writers and although in a real situation Storm would clap not just Korra but all her verse without much trouble they actually turned Korra into a real threat.
it was overral fun and the ending was a bit brutal lol.

Yeah I was not expecting that type of ending! I get that it's a 'Death Battle' but that was next level gruesome. But on the other hand I sort of want her to do this the next time someone challenges her Regent status.

I thought you were having second thoughts seeing the battle?... ;P well at least if you put it that way...(its still on youtube countdown) I could thank the creators for the accurate information and still see it anyway....Question: when will Sword 11 be out?

Also AIPT is up with Editors saying segway stuff again...one mentions an OMEGA clue but not finding much again... Why am I not surprised (and as suspicious looking as these guys here - deeply marauders annual but Callisto is sus) with the battle result, or the search result...

I liked it even though Storm was a bit nerfed. The spotlight is certainly at the end: Storm splitting the seas, freezing lighting, and the cold-blooded headshot.

My only real complaint. You can't really dodge lightning. You can anticipate where the person is aiming and thus move before they fire, but once the bullet/lightning/laser has been fired...you will get hit

yes I liked that they acknowledged this. .

also reading the comments it's very food to see that people are learning more about her abilities. I've read so many comments that have said they didn't realize storm could do all of what she has done in 616. and the db commentators didn't even go into full details of all her abilities.

This DB was a steam roll though. I don't think even 1000 Korras juiced to the gills could get Storm to even take her cape off.

yea storm could have been done with thst fight in like 1 second. a well placed tornado would have immobilized her.

I like them showing her control water and also like how she canceled out korra lightning when she grabbed her hand showing even when korra is in avatar state Ororo's control is vastly stronger .

I also wanted to point out that Storm's durability in that fight was Hulk level. LOL

uhmmm yes sir. did you read sue storms recdnt mini? she created a skin tight forcefield that allowed her to tank hits. I would like ororo to do the same thing with air or pressure. Dae also had a great idea where storm could focus on herself a negative/positive pressure that would automatically repel attacks from herself.

Lol noticed that too. But I felt it was a trade off. If they won’t leverage Storm’s martial combat skills and speed while amping Korra so it can make it seem like an fight then the least they can do is make Storm durable enough to take some credible punishment. Especially the way it ended :D

I also like at the end how Korra trapped Storm in rock thinking that without movement she was powerless. That will always be the Achilles heel in a Storm vs [insert avatarverse character] unless things change for them.

Defensive applications is what I am hoping Ewing will focus on with Storm. Its the most underdeveloped area of her powers. And iwth her position on resurrection and the role she is in I think its tactically crazy her her not to explore this more.

At this point I'd love anything he does. Elemental form, Godhead physiology, defensive power usage, just anything so she's not instantly considered a glass canon. Every other 'glass canon' (Jean, Magneto, Emma, ect) have some sort of defense they use on the regular with varying degrees of success. With Storm, we get one defensive application once every decade.

On top of that I'd also like to see her energy sight touched on. The beauty of space seen through those lenses would be one hell of a panel.

unfortunately with the end of SWORDS I don't think Ewing can develop that....

Agreed. Her energy sight definitely eeds a revisit. I prefer power development of her weather manipulation as a defense but W/ the recent work in SWORD I do feel like an elemental form is the direction they’d take. That would also open up a whole new facet of applications. Imagine becoming weather anywhere…

See I love that idea because they could intertwine it with her divinity. I mean imagine a planet light years away that Storm has saved and they worship her and she feels their praise so she sends her smiling face in the clouds.

Ever since I started getting into Storm and learning more about her I've wondered if they would amp her powers if she lost her physical body. As far as I know her only two limits are her physical body and any stress she puts it through while controlling the weather AND her strength of will. Now her will has always been supreme, so if they nix the body would that ascension also constitute a power increase?
