This is cute.
Well, Storm did have quite several panels in COTA. :D She appeared in like 40-60% of the book.
lololol its night after the gala I domt thnk she had a moment to change yet.
can't wait to see what they are discussing!!
I change my clothes every night....no excuses!
Someone should do a list of all the times Hadari has been stated in comics
If we could get something like this for MCU Storm I'd be thrilled! Minus the fainting and coughing up blood of course :D

Um no thanks. She took way too long conjuring up 2 little tornadoes when Storm created like 5 or 6 within a few seconds in X-Men: 2 and it didn't take an ounce of energy from her.

I have never watched the show but I really hope she doesn't have to do that every time she uses her abilities.

LOL that image took me OUT! I'm stealing that.
But as for the girl this was an advance spell that was only done one other time in history by her ancestor so in context it's amazing, she was able to pull it off at all, even if it was only for a few seconds.
As for Storm, I would assume we're getting the up-and-coming younger days when she makes her MCU debut? Don't get me wrong I'd be totally fine if the Storm we got is already fully in control of her powers and can summon a dozen or more tornados at the drop of a dime. I'm just saying, if we do happen to fall on the other end of the spectrum, I can see what happened in that clip to be a parallel to a younger and inexperienced Storm.
I have never watched the show but I really hope she doesn't have to do that every time she uses her abilities.
Not at all. This spell was a highly advanced and powerful one that was only done once by her ancestor. This is not the norm, far from it.
storm letting them know in cota.

i heard the xmen tas voice. "meet me... at the Monorail."
I have to say i have never seen Storm look more like a white woman than in Cota 5. If you think she looked like that in that marvel mobile game this issue is truly shocking. Also probably the weakest issue, the escape scene by the doctor makes no sense at all.
And there is one panel where Storm hair is colored but you can still see her ear through the white hair. It's like they took all the budget away from this book.

Storm mention in X-force but no appearance. I have to say i'm glad i stuck in there with this book, Percy is really firing on all cylinders right now. *saving xmen for the buffet.* lol
Agreed! I enjoyed the issue and hope Storm gets to whoop that heffa's ass in the final issue. Her escape felt like a TBC.

lol Go ahead. I have tons of memes. There's a lot of memes I have to reupload to photobucket since I accidentally deleted my whole meme album today by accident on there. Interesting take on the new MCU Storm. I hope she's in good enough control like in the animated series. I don't want her to be weak like the Fox crap

No shade but i kept thinking like what if she has swollen jaw would she still be able to whip up those small tornadoes. Looks cool but the mouth thing really threw me off.
Lmao! Alright note to self, before posting anything about potential MCU Storm, make sure I give it a good 24hrs of deep thinking ;).

I think the term force of nature is thrown around too liberally I mean to be a force of nature is to literally be unstoppable. Yeah we have charachters like jean, hulk, Franklin who can be classified as forces of nature but they are more esoteric and abstract. But storm is the embodiment of that. From her inception she was demonstrated to be the most powerful mutant and elemental in marvel. Losing to magneto due to her not wanting to kill him. Overpowering other elemental users. Commanding the true unbridled power of nature in all it's myriad elements. As rouge storm pointed out she was one with the entire planet all it's elements were hers to command.

Isn't the Bright Lady Oshtur?
Isn't the Bright Lady Oshtur?
this is what was said but I haven't read anything that confirms this.
Hell, I thought Oshtur was one of Gaea's many names.
Actually, which one does Storm worship? I know she often called upon the Bright Lady but I remember in one Annual she said all elementals bow to the power of Gaea.

Aliases
Ostara
The Omnipotent Oshtur
Omniscient Oshtur
Gray Goddess of Balance and Order
Bright Lady
Giver of Justice
Bright Lady of the Dawn
Gracious Lady
Lady of the Skies
Lost Goddess of the Air
Goddess of the Dawn Star and of the Dawning Year
Elder Goddess of the Eastern Star
Ma'at
Ishtar
Bird Goddess
Fascinating, something that would be amazing to see Ororo doing (perhaps in a scene of her learning to control her powers), I would like to see something of these magnitudes in MCU, A experient Storm would certainly do something of these proportions (of course there is the point that it respects natural balance, and people, but I would be fascinated)

In the Marvel Universe, Oshtur & Gaea they are "sisters". They are the elders gods of the universe. The elder gods are Chthon, Gaea, Hyppus, Isuus, Oshtur, Set.
Gaea is Thor's mother and Odin is his father - this is why he is so powerful - he half elder god and had all father.
Storm's bloodline is favored by Oshtur, and the worship her. So I think is pretty common knowledge that Storm's magic potential is so high because she comes for a linage favored by a member of the mystical trinity Vishanti (Oshtur, Hoggoth & Aggamato). They are the patrons of the sorcerer supreme. I would love to see her divinity officially tied back to Oshtur as well. Oshtur has also long protected humanity, which is a trait we've seen in Storm for pretty much her entire time time in comics. It would be very easy to like Storm as Hardari Yao, tjhe goddess who preserves the balance between all natural things, to Oshtur.
And despite her inclination to the more natural things of the world, it makes more since for Storm to be of Oshtur's linage than Gaea's. Millions of years ago, Gaea suffused her energies to the earth to protect the life that was just beginning to form. Oshtur has always been about the heavens and looking to the stars. Storm's powers may manifest as weather manipulation, but she is not limited to the earth. She need an universal outlook to be able to bring real balance.

This sounds about right. Except Thor is now the son of Phoenix not Gaea.

I've said this multiple times before but I wish this aspect of Storm and her lineage could be explored in a story arc or two. It's crazy to me that this has been part of the character since nearly her inception but has only been superfluously touched upon or alluded to a handful of times in her 45 plus year history. A few mentions in the Mystic arcana series, the Magick limited series, a back up from the Classic Xmen, an issue of UXM, and one issue of Hudlin BP is pretty much it when it came to focusing on this part of the character. I'd like to see more since it has been criminally underused. So much potential story there going to waste.

And it’s worth considering that the Elder Gods are indigenous to Earth and are the manifestations of its unique life energy. Well now Mars has a biosphere too, one would think that the primordial life energies there would lead to the creation of Martian Elder Gods which opens up a lot of interest story directions for Storm as the Regent of that planet.

The Demiurge the sentient biosphere of Earth seeded it with it’s energy to give birth to the Elder Gods. Osthur herself did something similar when she birthed Agamotto(first sorcerer supreme) when her tear fell to the earth while watching human children play. When Storm “married” land, sea, and sky she helped give life back to Mars. Storm in a way is her own Elder God of Mars
