Actually, which one does Storm worship? I know she often called upon the Bright Lady but I remember in one Annual she said all elementals bow to the power of Gaea.[/QUOTE]
which annual was that?

Fascinating, something that would be amazing to see Ororo doing (perhaps in a scene of her learning to control her powers), I would like to see something of these magnitudes in MCU, A experient Storm would certainly do something of these proportions (of course there is the point that it respects natural balance, and people, but I would be fascinated)

In the Marvel Universe, Oshtur & Gaea they are "sisters". They are the elders gods of the universe. The elder gods are Chthon, Gaea, Hyppus, Isuus, Oshtur, Set.
Gaea is Thor's mother and Odin is his father - this is why he is so powerful - he half elder god and had all father.
Storm's bloodline is favored by Oshtur, and the worship her. So I think is pretty common knowledge that Storm's magic potential is so high because she comes for a linage favored by a member of the mystical trinity Vishanti (Oshtur, Hoggoth & Aggamato). They are the patrons of the sorcerer supreme. I would love to see her divinity officially tied back to Oshtur as well. Oshtur has also long protected humanity, which is a trait we've seen in Storm for pretty much her entire time time in comics. It would be very easy to like Storm as Hardari Yao, tjhe goddess who preserves the balance between all natural things, to Oshtur.
And despite her inclination to the more natural things of the world, it makes more since for Storm to be of Oshtur's linage than Gaea's. Millions of years ago, Gaea suffused her energies to the earth to protect the life that was just beginning to form. Oshtur has always been about the heavens and looking to the stars. Storm's powers may manifest as weather manipulation, but she is not limited to the earth. She need an universal outlook to be able to bring real balance.

This sounds about right. Except Thor is now the son of Phoenix not Gaea.

I've said this multiple times before but I wish this aspect of Storm and her lineage could be explored in a story arc or two. It's crazy to me that this has been part of the character since nearly her inception but has only been superfluously touched upon or alluded to a handful of times in her 45 plus year history. A few mentions in the Mystic arcana series, the Magick limited series, a back up from the Classic Xmen, an issue of UXM, and one issue of Hudlin BP is pretty much it when it came to focusing on this part of the character. I'd like to see more since it has been criminally underused. So much potential story there going to waste.

And it’s worth considering that the Elder Gods are indigenous to Earth and are the manifestations of its unique life energy. Well now Mars has a biosphere too, one would think that the primordial life energies there would lead to the creation of Martian Elder Gods which opens up a lot of interest story directions for Storm as the Regent of that planet.

The Demiurge the sentient biosphere of Earth seeded it with it’s energy to give birth to the Elder Gods. Osthur herself did something similar when she birthed Agamotto(first sorcerer supreme) when her tear fell to the earth while watching human children play. When Storm “married” land, sea, and sky she helped give life back to Mars. Storm in a way is her own Elder God of Mars
