It made me think of a goddess version of this.

In one she was trying to destroy life and in the other she was trying to give it.
omg yasssss wats!!!! tie this ish all together. I freaking love it!
Omg!!!! The way I jumped up and down reading this!!! This was truly an awesome recognition of Storm’s power. She should be working at this level more often. Hopefully there are more things like this to come.

agreed. this was such a beautiful surprise. I was not expecting such a story when I got up this morning. truly awesome.
I think this proves that she could have teraformed on her own if she really wanted. Like what can't she do magnetic fields? Check, atmosphere from nothing? Check, create a mini star for the planet when there is no nearby star? Check.... Infact it's still no where near the true versatile potential of an omega level weather manipulator. The best is yet to come.
Yes she could have definitely done planet Arakko by herself but the teamwork was cute lol
oh absolutely. this is what she should have done on Mars but it's awesome because now we have a showing where it clearly states she can create an atmosphere from nothing on her own.
and indeed... im curious though if this was omega or goddess. marvel made it a point to advertise this as weather goddess and not omega level mutant. thst little detail makes me think this photon manipulation story with storm was goddess stuff lol.
This definitely gave me GODDESS.
That skrull planet just joined Xandra's Storm fanclub.

That's the thing I don't know if it is goddess or omega storm... But I know Thor doesn't know or care about stuff like omega or alpha he cares only for godlike power. I think the godhead opened her mind and Freed her of doubt of what her mutant abilities truly can do hence why she added a sun at the end for good measure. But yes there is virtually no limit to her weather abilities if applied creatively it can replicate or manipulate almost any natural elemental phenomena
Yes she could have definitely done planet Arakko by herself but the teamwork was cute lol
yea I appreciated the mars feat for the team up aspects but its nice marvel confirmed she could do that all on her own.
Oh and the mini Sun, sooo much to add to her feat list

The comic is out already just click on the link to read it.
Beyond the "feats" i really did enjoy the story. I liked the aspect of Storm getting to explore something outside of what regularly occurs in the X-men and it felt like just a good old fashioned action/adventure story. Beyond that i like the concept behind a young goddess being shown the ropes because i find it interesting. In almost all stories god like characters are usually in a group or pantheon and i doubt they just end up that way so i imagine there would be a lot of people out trying to lead a young "orphan" goddess wayward. It adds an interesting aspect to Storm in that someone can teach her something without diminishing her experience. Also i think it leads to interesting potential the idea that a goddess that is still more human than god might not see decisions the same way as a god who accepted things like destiny etc.

exactly. i just want to reiterate what marvel said:
The God of Thunder and Weather Goddess team up for an electrifying new story, presented by
@CitizenWatchUS
! Experience 'The Power of Light' : https://bit.ly/3FBDOVy
typically marvel doesn't have an issue making it known she is an omega level mutant so they fact they chose to describe this in the manner they did make me inclined to believe it was intended to be a goddess feat. especially with all of the light symbolism.

Pretty much. I think sometimes us storm fans shoot ourselves in the foot by trying to differentiate the two so hard and it's like she's both, she did that and this, its ok, sit down, let the service begin. lol

You make a very interesting point about the young goddess. I think I mentioned this earlier but Thor appeared to have insight to what Ororo herself didn't believe she could do. So him "training" her in this area actually was very nice to see. And I must concur im happy to see her having interactions that go beyond being an xman and beyond being a mutant. Im not sure this would be the case had marvel not gotten the full rights back for the xmen so im very grateful for this. Im hoping though that xwriters began to think more outside the box when it comes to her role in the mu ( which we are seeing with regent of sol) as well as her abilities. Some have said her manipulating light is random however considering light us electromagnetic radiation which she has controlled before it really shouldn't come across as such to readers.

Another great point. you ain't playing today lol.
to touch a little on the point you mentioned about storm and Thor, I know many fandoms have made the point of saying he is a sledgehammer and she is a scalpel but I tend to ebb on your analysis which she can do this and that. she isn't limited and Thor helped her recognize that she can do so much more than what she thought achievable which is amazing.
It was a figure of speech like "may God be with you" and such since she doubted her capabilities. Case in point she did the same thing again in plant sized xmen. Sans the sun ofcourse.

lol this logic is so dumb, if odin strength were needed to perform these feats then Thor could have done it on his own.
Haters get desperate and start asking various questions, putting their words above the comics, the power of the Storm is too much for their little heads, lol
agreed. this was such a beautiful surprise. I was not expecting such a story when I got up this morning. truly awesome.
Proof Marvel listens to its fans and why it’s important that we always speak out.

In the end it is a storm feat abd as storm fans let us eat.
Thinking about that Sun aspect for a moment, could this be another Goddess sighting? I mean clearly the Skrulls were believing in her as their only hope since Thor couldn't do the job. From everything we know so far, her Godhood abilities seem to overlap heavily with her elemental abilities.
Or do you guys think this was strictly her mutant powers at work? Either way, creating a permanently functional sun, even miniature, is one hell of a feat!
Creating or gathering huge amounts of energy, enough to generate a small star, generate climates from zero in unstable atmospheres – must be its mutation. Divinity would be where more esoteric moments would occur, like she could hear a prayer from another planet, or maybe transmute elements, giving them life, although I thought it was very symbolic of her giving life to a planet, she said she never thought she was able to do something like that, so can we say that this problem occurs before Planet Size?
Proof Marvel listens to its fans and why it’s important that we always speak out.
it most certainly is. we need to give this writer her pearls. she did an awesome job
In the end it is a storm feat abd as storm fans let us eat.
and we eating good!!
Yes! Yes! Yes!

FINALLY!!!
And SHE gave an entire planet an atmosphere!
C'mon now
reminded me of that moment, although both had different effects, in one Ororo it generated raw energy to disintegrate, in another it literally generated light to recharge a clock that opens temporal portals!
he said Odin would give her strength and she followed that up by asking her goddess to help her. it was all her power Odin didn't do anything.
I foresee cries coming from fans of the Nordic "Goddess", lol

lol I'm not so sure. as wats alluded to thor appeared to "training" storm in her goddess abilities. its a testament to his wisdom and knowledge which is a compliment to him imho.

You're assuming a lot in this scenario. The biggest is that they would even look that deep. I have little to no faith in Thor fans after some of the stuff I've read them say when it comes to the women in his circles.

He isn't as petty as his fans. He truly doesn't care about these things, to him people need help and they need it to be sustainable so he would get them that help. Like how he followed storms lead during man thing. He has been doing the god thing for years but he still takes elemental advice from storm because he knows her power allows her certain access he doesn't. Charachters themselves are genuinely decent it's their fans that make you hate the charachter.

oooopp and now you spilling tea. I personally wouldn't mind seeing he him train ororo on what gods do. I think it would make an interesting series. marvel make it happen.
on the issue itself I love how they added aspects of divinity and subtlety so. when the skrulls pray for help as they are being attacked Thor and storm appear. the book was just such a pleasant surprise.

Thanks for showing me. I really want to read. Gotta wait another hour or so before I'm home.
When Storm created the small Sun I was done... and I have always imagined stories in my head of Storm and Thor going on space adventures and fighting mystical beasts that allows Ororo to discover and push the onvelop. I'd love a full series of Storm as Regent and Thor going out into space and dealing with threats to the galaxy.

agreed to all of this. I'm still in awe by the sheer power of Ororo. goes to show that storm is so much more than just lightning and writers if they think outside the box can show her do phenomenal things.
now that storm is bending light I wonder can she bend it to make herself invisible???? lol
I just realized something Storm just confirmed she has power over the majority if not all the four fundamental forces. Because to create a sun she would have to perform fusion a literal nuclear reaction which involves the strong and weak forces, then gravity to enable it to orbit. She also generated light meaning she has power over the electromagnetic force. Erica really did something that even Duggan with his 20 issues couldn't do make storm feel and seem omega like she really is. This is literally one of her most creative feats. Also she creating mini suns means she can collapse them too at will causing nova explosions. This feat is really massive. Also the relationship between theo and storm was very cute he trust in her abilities completely and is willing to let her shine and grow. That is what a true friend is. I hope we get an ongoing with them as leads having adventures abd saving solar systems together.
Yes and if we push it further her control over photons what else would she be able to do. This also means that if she takes an elemental form she can become light itself too.

I'm sure she could at this point easily lol! I'd actually like her power over dark matter(which comprises a storm) to be explored. I know that's asking alot but she just made a freaking sun lol.

I don’t think most fans are like that. I think an extremely vocal minority is like that. It gives new meaning to the word FANATIC!
But I don’t let cray cray ruin my enjoyment of comics.
