I always thought she froze people by lowering the temperature of the local air or using cold wind and water, but she can actually draw cold air from the top of the atmosphere to flash freeze people before they can even react. That’s amazing.
she can also what u mentioned but that time she was trying something different
So yeah, i guess every oddity about her eyes which doesn't fit in how different forms of eyes function or look like in nature, can be chalked up as being the result of them being mutated beyond natural designs.
Yep, exactly. I think she can shift her irises however she wants since they are quite mutated and advanced so to speak. At one moment they can look normal, in another they can look catlike and I kinda like that. Having all the time only one of the two is not fun and it will get boring. So why not have both? Depending on her mood or something. :D

Yep, I believe so too. From left to right: Tony (Iron Man), Ororo (Storm) and Steve (Captain America).

I was unable to read what was said in the speech boxes. The quality is too poor to enlarge it and read it properly. But from what I am aware she can do both, flash freeze from above, or from inside out or via the molecules around her and her target.

Thinking about how Storm can manipulate 3/4 states of matter. Gas, Plasma, and Liquid. She has stated that liquid is more dense than the atmosphere so it’s harder for her to manipulate but it seems she has now mastered her control of it based recent feats. This is another thing that proves her power is not just weather manipulation. She manipulates the patterns of energies and forces found in nature. However, the less dense the element or environment, the the easier it is for her to manipulate. This is why she has a predilection for atmospheric and weather phenomena and lightning because gas and air aren’t very dense so it’s easier for her to manipulate. The exception being she can’t manipulate solids because the molecules are in fixed positions and don’t move.
When she looks at the air or water she can see the particles and energies swirling and moving around like paint on a canvas and she is free to manipulate it.

Her power is so refined that she can manipulate matter at the atomic level. As seen when she gathered stray hydrogen atoms from outer space to blast Silver Surfer
There’s so many facets and applications of her mutation and there’s no name to really classify what her power truly is so it’s just classified as Weather Manipulation because that’s what she feels most comfortable doing. She’s an Omega Level because her potential virtually has no upper limit. “Weather” is a limiting word itself.

you said 3/4 elements which is the 4th?
also I agree on her water manipulating abilities. she went from generating massive waves in corridors to manipulating oceans creating massive tsunamis. however it should be noted in her solo she mentioned she could manipulate ocean currents as a young girl.
in terms of her being classified as a weather manipulator I think its just because that is hr speciality. as you mentioned she does way more than that.

She can do solids when she wants to. It's all just electrons in the end to her.

Just think of solids as frozen matter, like ice is frozen water. They are ultimately just condensation of plasmatic ether. Storm has the whole spectrum on lockdown. I think creators shy away from the earth/water/fire feats because the name is 'Storm', but "Earth Mother", or "Nature Goddess" are closer to the truth, and the 'separations' between the various elements are more [contrived]linguistic artifacts as opposed to natural facts.

The 4th state of matter would be solid. She has shown that she can generate a solid state of matter ( flash freezing for example) she hasn’t shown that she’s capable of manipulating matter while it’s already in a solid form. Maybe if they develop her electromagnetic powers, or her magic potential she will be able to though.

Well as a dark brown guy like Martin Lawrence I see no problem with Storm being our color. Geez at least they made her dark brown from the light skin they had her as.

What are all the elements Storm has been shown directly manipulating?
I’ve seen (Water, Wind, Electricity, and Aether (Magic) theoretically she should be able to manipulate light (EM Spectrum) and Fire (which is just heated gas that turns into plasma. Or she can manipulate it by controlling the oxygen which fuels it)

I never thought I'd see the day where colorism would raise its head in the Storm thread of all places. That said, I'll happily wait my turn elsewhere, where my feelings won't be invalidated or brushed off with any "wait your turn" comments as a dark skinned black person.

Excuse me but that is quite irrelevant. Storm from her inception is deeply melanated. To stay true to the original source material as per her creators she has to be dark skinned. That's how she was envisioned that's how she is supposed to be. It's true melanated people usually have alterations to skin color based on whether they are out in the sun. I for one became very light skinned during the lockdown last year. So I do understand your point. But storm being and remaining dark skinned is very important. It is representation very much needed for dark skinned girls, boys and non binary folk who are being disrespected in their own community. So the strongest black hero and possibly most powerful omega being dark skinned will improve the self esteem of especially dark skinned girls who read the x-men comics.

The fact that they keep giving characters like cable their own solo run and not storm is beyond belief to me. Storm is so much more compelling than cable its unreal. As far as the “wait your turn” comment, that’s not cool. Wolverine is the best at what he does. Cyclops is the best xmen. But storm, she is the greatest of all time.

Storm was originally medium to light brown she wasn’t dark skin pick up any old comic and you’ll see that
-
She was originally dark skinned in giant size xmen. Though i fail to see the significance of what she was originally drawn as. There is a lot of significance for her being dark skinned regardless of what certain artists want to color her as. I find it rather moot to try and lighten her skin tone for the sake of her original drawings when her significance as a poc outweighs any need to try to be true to the classical xmen depiction.
-
I don’t mean to offend but why can’t storm be different skin tones it’s nice to see her as my color and darker richer complexions she’s not always light she’s not always dark and originally she was light brown upon creation so I don’t get the skin tone complaints because I never get upset when she’s darker them me like in her solo series and her “one shot” storm story so like is said just wait your turn.

Definitely light brown I just googled it you and I have different ideas of what darkskin is clearly but stom will never be just one skin tone and that should be ok cuss black pll don’t come in just one shade she’s been darkskin many times and will be darkskin again.
-
I own the book so if you want to get light dark off of google that’s fine. You obviously did not fully read what i said if you are hung up on that because i also said it was moot as how she was originally drawn. Storm has been arguably the most impactful poc in comic books and having her as dark skin has a lot of significance in making comics in general feel more inclusive to people who have a hard time relating as the vast majority of super heroes are white. From my perspective, it is more about the comic industry catching up with the times than it has to do with the original depictions of storm. She is one of the most interesting characters in comics. Period. The fact that she has been consistent in this throughout the years is a testament that comics can be enjoyed by more than just young white males. Which, at the time of her inception, was the vast majority of comic book readers. I’m not trying to go full sjw or woke as i believe the need for inclusiveness in the comic industry goes far beyond that. Todd mcfarlane even understood this back in the early 90’s when he made spawn a black male. It was not to win some political points or something petty like that, it was to bring in new people to comics who might otherwise feel that they have no place in the comic book world.

I’ve read the comic so you’d have to post this pic of her being originally darkskin cuss I’ve never seen it lol if you believe she should always be one skin tone we will have to agree to disagree because I enjoy the variety of blackness on her but I’m aware that she is usually a lighter brown then a darker one but her being darkskin dose happen that’s why I don’t see the big issue but I’m not darkskin so I can’t completely relate.
