Breakdowns like this across stories and different writers are common. I wouldn't worry about it too much because in the end I would trust Storm's opinion of the matter above either one of those two. We've seen time and time again how connected Storm is with the weather and the life force of a planet.
In an ideal world, Storm would have recruited these two (and possibly others) to be her stand-ins when nature gets a bit rogue and she can't be there. Not only would that have been a good way to showcase the skills of other elemental mutants but it would have been done in a way that throws no shade at Storm's abilities. I mean just take what's going on right now for example. Suppose Storm is fighting the Lethal Legion but there's a giant sand storm headed towards a populated area? Have Dust deal with it while Storm deals with the bigger problems.
Being a good leader is knowing when to delegate problems even when knowing you are fully capable of solving the issue yourself.

Agreed! I thoroughly enjoyed SWORD. Ewing is <3 <3 <3. Looking forward to reading it again tomorrow morning on the way to work, and then discussing it with the fandom.
I've read from some people the writers have written that terraforming Mars caused failures, which weren't quite perfect. It had consequences, like instability in climate and biome, and that frustrated me, not just because Storm took it upon herself to create a climate stable, how, too, should she feel the same disturbances that Dust felt and do something about it, but also Nature Girl said the biome wasn't alive? In Planet Size, Storm said that the planet was alive...
Knowing Ororo, she wouldn't let anything go wrong, and she would do something about it.

Nature Girl is a mutant that creates connection that can talk to nature, with the biome, animals, literally a small version of Gaia, but Arakko is a living island, how can she be dead?

Planet Size
Storm is a guardian of sorts who has a mystical connection to the land and vegetation, either someone in this story is lying or it's a scoop from the script..

Ok this frustrated me..
the omegas not taking into account some of the complexities associated with terraforming i think has potential to be a good subplot to the Arrako story especially if it allows for ororo to flex her ability to sense an imbalance with nature.

I prefer it to the new one as well. its a really nice design I honestly didn't expect it to last long since it was galaook so the fact it remaining beyond that story was a welcome surprise.

Yeah... It wasn't epic enough for me.
Maybe if she had pulled that stunt on a full functional Gladiator it would have been noteworthy

Watch Brand becomes Storm's Magneto.

She did that. I loved the nosebleed from holding back.

They definitely have a lot in common. Both mutant, both more.

finally Storm used her pressure manipulation to do something deadly, I wonder if she will be written more like that in X-Red...
besides that I've seen people complaining that Gladiator should have to do this and not Storm because he's Superman level and Storm is a midtier smh...
