A woman in a bad white wig surrounded by burning trash. It's eerie how accurate that sums up what was supposed to be Storm in Fox.

Her surrounding is fitting.
And yall ooo...storm finna have alot to deal with being regent of sol. The previews for books show the MU already gunning for the mutants growing empire.

Girl, its her!

She isnt in any major books.
She had a whole issue in marauders about finding something new. The shi'ar adore her...its coming sis!!
I know its hard to be optimistic though, with how ..what's the word...CHALLENGED writers tend to be when it comes to her but i believe this is it for Goddess.

everyone is saying it will be her so I hope everyone is right. the xoffices been getting our asses for the longest so I just can't take my mind there until I see the actual evidence

I feel THAT LOL.
Also notice how the issue said first mutant planet? What if as regent storms role in the future extends to overseeing the birth of new mutant planets? Ugh its sooo much potential. 😫

She’s the only one fitting for such responsibility, I can’t really think of anyone else
@butterflykyss
;) I was never really fond of her and her Crayola comment pretty much sealed the deal in my book.
Question for all because I'm trying to kill time: What, if anything, could she replicate solo in terms of making a planet habitable?
-Magneto pulling iron from the Kiper belt.
-Vulcan & Hope Kamehameha'ing the iron.
-Magneto "Stirring the sauce".
-Hope and Proteus cooling the planet (?)
-Iceman making a polar ice cap.
-Soubnar's Ocean eco-system.
-Xilo and Elixer giving 'life'.
The death card is one of complete metamorphosis and change into something new.
I know this and that's the only reason I brought the card up. Since that time, what metamorphosis or change has happened to Storm as a character? The cards for most of the other characters literally meant something to the character. I haven't seen that for Storm other than she literally fought Death. So that's why I wonder if it was a small foreshadowing of what may be next for her.

oh she definitely lost any sympathy or liking I had for her in playing storm after that comment. a mixed woman discounting the impact of colorism as it impacts spark skinned black women was unforgivable for me.

some hsve suggested manor or even isra (i think thats her name 5he mutant who never loses).

They might give it to namor for the **** and giggles of it all. Magneto would really enjoy such a title...but the strongest candidate is storm I mean there is this whole "BIG" story coming for her

With the exception of creating micro organisms yh she could if you look at her powerset. I mean it would take a shot Gon of raw material and more time but she can do it. Because she has direct power over magnetic fields and electromagnetism pulling an asteroid into a planet wouldn't be an issue, the kamehameha's can easily be done with a very powerful lightning blast she can even chanel the nearby star to amp the fire power. She can eslasily cool the planet directly and can again by chaneling he magnetic forces of a star stir the source. The water would be tricky and this is where she would have to delve into the chemical aspect of her powers by pulling hydrogen atoms together to create water by bonding a **** ton of the hydrogen to oxygen then bonding that to the hydrogen, but like I said that would take time and a lot of hydrogen atoms so sobunar would be needed. Xilo and elixr are also going to be needed. But that is teresstrial planets on gas Giants it's a different issue because storm can directly take charge of everything and tune it to sustain life.

Hmmm I guess we would have wait and see these "big" plans that they have for her. Because right now I don't see it, magneto and xavier practically begged namor to be on their council he said he wanted a planet he they have a planet now and an entire solar system it doesn't take much knowledge of the xoffice and their relationship with storm to see how this can play out...but I hope our girl gets named regent and actually does something instead of just being a figure head.
https://screenrant.com/x-men-storm-solar-system-regent/
I just saw this article.... Also I do think it's storm because hickman stated last year that storm is going to take center stage and have a two year story arc or so.
Also remember when xavier stated that storm was always meant to be the most important mutant in the world and THE symbol for mutantkind I think this is it. But.i still cant celebrate until it's made official.

I'm thinking her ability to manipulate to elements and their respective energies would allow her to do all of these with the exception of the last.

goddess mode storm should be able to do it all. remember her goddess energy allowed plants to grow that where virtually dead.

For Ororo the Goddes all the above are fair game.
For Storm the omega level mutant : whatever can be fitted into weather manipulation in a reasonable way

which of those do you think she could reasonably that would fit into weather manipulation?

Without any external boost I can see storm gather a comet to provide the planet the gases and liquids it is lacking, I can see her jumpstart the core with em energy like a patient in cardiac arrest, she could also play with pressure and convective currents in the mantle, I can easily see her adjusting the magnetosphere, solar radiation and of course the atmosphere not to mention everything related to the hydrosphere.
The metal asteroid and manipulation of biological matter/ biological activity/life would require the use of a power different than her mutant one because at present I just don’t see it if she’s only relaying on her mutation.
All the reality manipulation especially from Jamie and kevin it’s another matter entirely.
Goddess Ororo boosted by prayer/faith could perform any of these miracles on her own.

I love ALL of this. That would have been so awesome to see and agree with all the first paragraph.
In regards to the metal asteroid, would manipulating the electrons associated with whichever metallic material its made of potentially allow empire even this?

Agreed. Regent of Sol makes a lot of sense for her character. Responsible for maintaining mutant diplomacy with the wider cosmos, potentially coordinating mutant expansion to other planets, she may even be responsible for keeping an eye on the Arraki because best believe they're a potential problem within Sol itself if left unchecked lol.
And let's not forget Mars is a barrier world, meaning the first line of defense against cosmic invasion. If Marvel plays their cards right Storm could be the diplomat, architect, and defender of mutantkind's space expansion. But imma keep my expectations within reason and see what Ewing has to say first lol.

Well to be fair, given the abundance of hydrogen and helium in the solar system, if she really had to provide iron under her own power I would rather see her use the sun nuclear furnace injecting coronal matter directly into mars core and letting a controlled fusion process do the rest, iron is the ultimate product of star’s fusion anyway and she’s very proficient in dealing with high energy systems.
Hey thanks, gonna do a storm’s one next, just in the sketch phases for now.
Yesss and im glad you brought up the arakkii, im so excited to see storm interact and maybe even bond with them.
Yea because when you think about it, while Magneto solved the problem of Arakkii attacking humanity by giving them a planet he's also given them a powerbase. They now have a planet full of resources and all the opportunity to war against each other which could arguably make them more warlike and dangerous because inevitably they'll want to expand past Mars. Lucky for mutantkind Storm's on Mars so she can hopefully relate to and work with them because she's a proud warrior herself.
And for those of us really into the goddess/mystical angle, Ewing's a huge continuity nut so it's possible he'll pick up on the matter of Storm's bloodline developed by Coates. Maybe Storm's empathic connection to Mars (she is in a certain sense its mother) is part of some deeper relationship she has via her ancestry, something the Arakkii may have some knowledge on. Lots of cool elements to explore there if he wanted. Regent of Sol is a position filled with potential.

Even Magneto moving the asteroid wasn’t really convincing, it could take months if not years getting the asteroid to mars but coronal matter can be extruded at speeds comparable to that of light and the forces in the sun if manipulated correctly would be helping by pushing in the right direction

Remember how I posted once that storm should be able to control nebulas well if so she could create not only a planet but an entire star system hell even an entire galaxy!
Like many look at weather and see rain wind lightning but it means sooooo much more in the universe. To your run of the mill weather manipulator sure an atmosphere is needed to create weather but storm is omega over weather and manipulates energy and matter that relates to weather through out the universe, basically the current state of matter and energy within a system relative to motion can be constituted as weather hence why we have in the marvel universe gravity storms, solar storms, cosmic storms among many many other things. 99 percent of all visible matter in the universe is plasma which storm controls directly like the possibilities are endless. Like the scan stated she can see stars planets and even empty space as energy And force and control said energy and force.

Yh storm can coalease A LOT of hydrogen atoms together under soo much pressure. ignite said hydrogen to create a star then induce a nova explosion creating heavier elements such as iron and more.realistically that would take time but this is a comic book.
Question for all because I'm trying to kill time: What, if anything, could she replicate solo in terms of making a planet habitable?
-Magneto pulling iron from the Kiper belt. - Yes, I think she could gather and move the iron with enough concentrated solar wind
-Vulcan & Hope Kamehameha'ing the iron. - Yes. I think through her temp control and sustained lightning.
-Magneto "Stirring the sauce". No, I don't think so. Rotating the metal to generate gravity and the magnetic field requires an application of power we haven't seen from her. She's manipulated and created magnetic fields but not manipulated metal in any form.
-Hope and Proteus cooling the planet (?) - Yes.
-Iceman making a polar ice cap. - Yes.
-Soubnar's Ocean eco-system. - No. Since she's controlled hydrogen and oxygen she could create water but not in the volume of an ocean (not enough oxygen). Plus she couldn't create the life forms that reside in the ecosystem.
-Xilo and Elixer giving 'life'. - No.
My take on PSXM - enjoyed it! With the cover only being the 4 Omegas (probably your highest profile omegas) I was just imagining them working together to terraform, but it was still pretty bad ass. I would've liked to see Storm spearhead the terraforming, since her unique bond with the earth/universe would make her best suited for it (plus I think for this type of endeavor she'd be the perfect POV character) but Magneto was on point. Storm's brief moment was pretty epic. Establishing a life sustaining and supporting climate and natural weather systems, connecting the land, sea and air for an entire planet (all under her own power) is amazing. I was hoping for more epic imagery, like Magneto's opening or Bobby's omnidirectional ice, but the description was claremontian deliciousness. I also liked her dialogue with Magneto. It would be interesting if they build on their relationship beyond colleagues to a stronger friendship. The way he described her as a goddess gives the impression that he highly respected her, but it's been years since we've seen them interact in amiable way on panel. PLUS - I am excited to see where this goes. I was hoping for more than a hint (but I'll take it) as to the big plans - Regent of Sol would be amazing. Of course so long as it represents a role of significance to build her agency within the X-Verse/MU a whole. That would be a fitting role for her and I'd love to see her wield it competently but with fierce boldness, edge and determination. I'm also curious, if she is going to be the Regent and part of the QC, how she will engage and work with the Arrko council. I of course would've like more of her here in this issue but it was an 8/.5/10 for me.
