While not my favourite colour for Storm...I absolutely LOVED Phil's white and gold version of her classic costume. The gold accessories and voluminous cape made it regal enough without being "Overdesigned Drag Race camp".

This (the bolded) was my ultimate take away.
It's literally a "tale as old as time" and it would be very difficult to improve on its initial telling so I certainly didn't expect to be blown away or anything. It centred more on young T'challa and that was fine and expected considering the name of the book. I will say...it's a thousand times better than the Dickey LS).

It was a cute story, but I agree, it felt all over the place with her being mad at T'Challa leaving, even though she was leaving. Um what? I chalk it up to Ororo being a young girl, who still has her immaturity.

The animation is actually pretty decent. A lot of fan chatter on you tube about this one. I’ll still check it out, though after their Storm preview (which I though had good highlights but also missed some critical points), I can’t imagine Storm not coming out on top. But we could get an upset victory. Toph vs Gaara type surprise.

I was hoping the animation would have been similar to the actual air bender show versus mirroring a 16 bit video game. if not that i was hoping it looked as detailed as the Shao khan fight. im still going to check it out but I wished they would hsve gone all out on the animation. to your point about upset victories I wouldn't be shocked if korra squeaks a win, especially by way of the avatar state. just a few more days!!

lolol yasssss agreed to all of this. it looks low budget to me. I checked out some of the earlier avatar fights and they went with a similar style for whatever reason.

It's in the future faaaaaaaaaar into the future I mean this was supposed to be the year of storm and we got a lot of Yaaaaaasssss Queen moments. I mean good moments but ultimately still cosmetic in nature.

I'm reminded of the first time I saw the original Storm costume recolored white in the ALADDDIN EFFECT Graphic Novel (before there was A-FORCE...) - and it makes me wish Greg Laroque was still a regular artist in the comic book industry.

I don't think that's true at all. JDW said a few months ago that they will be streamlining the X-books in 2022 after the Wolverine event. We still haven't seen a solicit for the new Marauders #1 (after the Annual in January) SWORD as a working title may or may not still be in the works,, nobody knows.
A lot of readers are jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions based on their own impatience and no evidence whatsoever.

Ah, I trust Al Ewing, he is one of the best writers Ororo has ever had, but I admit that unfortunately he didn't deliver "Goddess credibility like on Coates' run" but left wonderful moments like Storm breathing at the edge of space *wiping the tears*

Ohk so I have been rewatching the animated series and I got to say they subtly and strongly hinted that storm was the most powerful xman and possibly hero in the marvel animated universe. Because in evolution when rouge touched stork and got her power Scott tells jean that it's over and that they can't compete with storm's power when out of control, even rouge says it's too much power. Then in XTAS during the savage land debacle rouge tried to absorb storks powers to calm her down but wolverine stops get saying she would mess up the weather from the savage land on Antarctica to Barbados in the Caribbean which is a whole hemisphere away indicating storm has planetary reach with her power. Also her going to that planet and healing it single handedly by manipulating all of its elemental forces shows planetary level power the only being in the xuniverse that surpasses that level of power is dark pheonix. Then finally we have this clip from secret wars where spiderman states that storm is sooo powerful that he believes she was his best chance against the beyonder. Now that is a laughable statement seeing as the beyonder is op incarnate but to think that peter sees storms power as having a fighting chance against beyonder says a lot. Like storm said to Scott during schism you. Do not want me you only want my power.

But I have been thinking what does this mean for storm what are her relationships to her powers and her identity we saw this in life death and much of the 80s run but what about now, now that it has been revealed that she is not only omega but a deity too. What are her relationships to that.

I was reading some old Avengers comics and found Storm in Avangers v1 #267, and comparing what Stan Lee and Claremont write about Ororo, Stan Lee didn't emphasize or even mention that Storm was worshiped as a goddess, lolol

The last pic reminds me of the one issue in black vortex where storms true potential is revealed and she is cosmic she becomes a supernova that destroys a planet just like dark pheonix.

This is a statement from Chris claremont stating that pheonix and storm are equal in raw power but
"Jean can maintain a higher burst...she can peak higher than Storm but she can't hold it for long. The thing with Storm is that all we've done till now is show her throwing lightning bolts and creating hurricanes, but she can do far more."
The far more is all I and other storm fans are asking for. Because they had this interesting dynamic that they could have built upon but the writer's decided to get lazy.
Storm truly is the original omega level mutant.
