It was a beautiful issue and something for storm fans. It's just that depowered knife fight it's soo repetitive to me it's now annoying. Like oh I need storm to be badass without trying oh wait let us do storm vs Callisto part hundred.

Exactly I was loving the issue till that part then it all went to shit for me. Like why? I get the depowered stuff but why does or have to be depowered just to prove herself.

and all the damn time too. other characters full potential get explored but her she gets depowreed why marvel?? why???
but I will say this. I will take depowered and overcoming death than her having to go through the resurrection protocols like other basic girls have to do. not for my gawdess...

All - I enjoyed the issue very much. I agree with both the highlight and criticisms. I created a review thread if you would like to also comment there.

- Able to survive in space by utilizing atmosphere bubble
- All Around Us title where she gets special vote/consideration at the arrakii council
- Cat-like reflexes asked to catch a knife thrown at her by surprise
- Won the Arrako queen title by defeating a shape-shifter in 1on1 battle
- Flash froze instantaneously an arrakoan made of pure lava
- Defeared tarn without her powers
- Created a face of herself in the clouds showing how skillful and intricate her abilities are

I think this is a fair analysis. I think it’s noteworthy that in the face of being turned into a monster by Tarn (and by questionable art) Ororo didn’t lose her composure for a second. Ewing did a good job of showcasing how strong she is but also how sentimental she is with little things like her room having a huge picture of the ANAD team above the bed.

Funny that crossed my mind -- but in a sense that she could utilize her priority for resu as a big fuck you to Arakko challenger with a cheat death -- in her cards too -- she has the perks -- they dont -- if they are going to utilize her resu for meaningful use anyways -- it is one of the cards that could have been used here (if not necessary, its practical and available like emma would put it)-- omg this is what happens after watching edge of tomorrow geez -- im not voting she dies just like that -- of course its Storm she cant be killed without putting up the fight till kingdom come -- it just to emphasize that Krakoan resurrection has an advantage over any Arakki who wants to become the Regent of both Arakko and Krakoa (unless its White sword) -- and Storm IS the Krakoan Regent -- its still a winning (despite common and taboo in Krakoan) move against Arakko -- she's gonna be resurrected with the same intact power anyway (as this is not otherworld)
Anyways -- There could be a lot more to do with this Arakki culture being its new and all and so open for possibilities - and yet they chose the easy reuse -- remember that time she was powerless? -- in contrast to Arakki belief in power? -- oh okay...like that was done just last year with Death but do we need that with Tarn the fucking who? Again? Dont they have news or something in Arakko? - I get that its part of her history but its not her only history -- so anything else? again cant she go with this arena with all powers and still prove she is the Regent regardless? They done great with her embracing all the power and gloating over it to Dooms face -- and that was fresh and satisfying -- hope they do more than copy pasting with just a different character -- its diminishing the first second and third time it was significant -- lets get back to that kind of power play she did with Doom and more shall we?

Yeah that's the problem with that trope -- well comparing it to the glorious Doom talk -- that I dont even realize I needed to happen after what 30 years? Hehe its like we get it people -- nobody can take her power -- stab! stab! Or better have her lightning bolt - vader choke then stab combo -- at least all her skills are in play

I did. And I hope he didn't. I think they were checking "if he did"...so I am hoping that leaves room for two things:
- Loop is closed and no upgrades made because she really doesn't need them
- He did make an upgrade to justify her doing something that she currently can't (i.e. now she takes on elemental forms at will)
I think it gives the writers some creative development opportunities that are outside Storm's current norm.

They said he did not amp her powers which storm was happy with as she said she understood if tarn upped her powers on arrako it would be seen as an insult. They said specifically she was exactly the same as when she went in.

I love love this issue.
Hand to hand Storm is always a plus to see even a depowered one.
I always enjoyed That Storm is the very few characters who is as powerful as she is and has proven time and time again its not about power or title its about the women who wields them. Hulk Super man Spider man lose their powers and it over for them. Not our girl. Remember this the same women that fought a super speedster and luke cage type enhanced strength person and enhance capabilities person powerless. Shoot two if you count Callisto . which why I would v love to see Storm go hand to hand with Cap. I'm sure she's not winning but I'm sure it would be a great fight.
And this make is twice Storm has defeat an Arriki Powerless..... So they better look out. She already flex her powers and Skill I can't to see how shook they are when she uses her brain.
