Lmao, and I found this little gem from 2016!
https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-just-discovered-a-black-hole-that-s-blasting-the-fastest-space-wind-in-the-known-universe
It would be amazing to see her tinker with something like this, even if it was on a smaller scale than freaking 20% the speed of light!
Oh yh black holes generate space wind made of matter and energy. Infact said jets of wind are propelled at near the speed of light and are the brightest most energetic events in the known cosmos... They are known as quasars.
But I dare not suggest storm has power to control quasars
Before some people say I am making her more than she really is.
Reminds me of her solo mini from the 90's, when she first linked up with the new atmosphere in Mikhail's dimension. I would love to see this done with Storm in the comics. She could generate plasma to vaporize any steel around her and shower a crowd of demons with hot liquid iron rain, for example, since their magic is disrupted by Iron. Would give more texture to her fights.
I love this too! Really shows how everything is related, just operating on different scales(atom, hurricane, galaxy, etc).
Torus would be an interesting alternative codename for Ororo, and relates the broad scale of her true power: energy dynamics.

(Even if I do love the sky goddess imagery of "Storm", her powers do transcend 'weather', and are closer to reality warping guided by an extrasensory awareness of the fundamental forces of the universe.)
Space wind is energy currents.
I love this from the article it sums up and explains exactly why storm can manipulate ocean currents as easily as air currents, that's because 'wind' is simply energy moving in a current. When you understand wind like that creation of the nanobot wind storm starts to make sense. She simply used the nanobots as a medium for energy currents and shaped it to form a storm.
The possibilities are endless. Omega level weather manipulator indeed.
Oh also gravity directly affects weather on mars, it was gravity that created the giant sandstorm on arakko after the omega mutants teraformed it. The Gravity of Mars's moon literally gathered the sand particles erupting from Olympus Mons and draged them across the planet and that is what created the gigantic sandstorm dust had to fight in way of x.
Storm manipulates the flow of nature by perceiving it as patterns of force and energy. TheyÂ’ve been telling us this from the beginning. Including all fluid currents found in nature such as: electrical, ocean, wind, and solar. I believe her mutant power manifested this way as a byproduct of her trauma and claustrophobia. She never wanted to feel buried again and her powers allowed her to be free. ThereÂ’s nothing more freeing than being high in the sky.
The fundamental source of her power on earth is the Sun. She is able to perceive the energy patterns that sun radiates to earth and shape them to her will to direct it where, and with how much intensity she wants to in order to produce any weather effect.
There are four states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. They go from least to most energy in that order. Solid particles donÂ’t move they just vibrate. Liquid particles are more loosely packed and able to flow around each other but not spread apart. In a gas the particles are able spread apart and have no definite shape or volume. Storm is able to see this energy and particles moving in patterns and shape it to her will. She may not be able to direct manipulate solids but that makes her no less powerful as no solid stands a chance against super heated plasma. She can simply just heat it and convert it into more plasma which she can manipulate.
And that doesnÂ’t mean she canÂ’t CREATE solids. She can produce ice just like Iceman by removing the thermal energy in a particular area to freeze it solid.
99% of the universe is made of plasma. At her full Omega potential, not even tapping in to her godhood, nobody is f**king with her. She was able to feel Cyclops aircraft flying through the sky thousands of miles away and strike it down immediately with lightning. Imagine when she does that on a universal scale.
Her name is STORM and for her there are no such things as LIMITS!
Yh as an article said space wind are energy currents.
Also yes to everything you said. And I will put it out there that she should be able to create more than just ice but even possibly diamonds.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.space.com/amp/37911-diamond-rain-created-in-laboratory.html
There are planets where it rains silicates sideways at rapid speed!
And since wind are energy currents to move said solids she would need to apply said energy currents and create 'diamond wind' and the like. All it would take is a simple application and putting two and two together.
The possibilities are endless.

This is the greatest explanation of Storm's powers I have ever read. Congrats!

Yes the possibilities really are endless! I love Storm and what the future holds for her. I hope we continue to get great writers that know their stuff.
Storm sounds way better than Typhoon. Typhone would only make most people just think of wind and hurricanes. Storm literally has everything to do with the name
That's true...

Storm wasn't even in this week's Excalibur but she got some shine anyway. :)

“Being the savior of our people suits you.”
I don't like this phase of the X-mens very much, many use this fact that Ororo took a while to position themselves against the Inhumans, who in the end came to nothing, saying she is a leader and would be a terrible queen, lol they are burning their tongues now.
Probably not the way Meggan did it. She grew to giant size and blocked the wave with her own body...which speaks volumes about her durability. Also Storm has shown a very limited ability to control magical energy...which is part of Meggan's origin.
IIRC, Meggan doesn't have Storm's range and seem to be limited to controlling her immediate surrounding area.
Oh, I would think it's cool, since Ororo is Hadari Yao, and has a blessing from Oshtur who is an Elder Gold, of the Order (?), it would be awesome if Coates made Sekafo distort Wakanda and Storm to intervene and reverse everything in the process.
I absolutely love Storm... too bad she had been given the most obvious and less inventive codename among the X-Men.
Oh, I like the name Storm, because they carry a lot of stuff with them, and a lot of weather concepts behind a storm, and it's very beautiful scary at the same time.

I would definitely ship Storm and Death...He's still obviously smitten...but it seems quite unlikely going by Betsy's rather off-handed response.

Lol. Death out there still simping for Storm?
