I said on a few occasions. BP has good moments as well, not everyone liked the feats which he accomplished in the Intergalactic run, but I am pleased with what is going on so far on the BP. I do agree that KiB issue was superior when it comes to BP, he was the centre, and everything but in Coates book, there seems to be two characters. T'Challa as the main, Storm as a close secondary main, and then a few other characters which put T'Challa in the back on a few occasions. So I do understand their rage. Don't get me wrong, I am really hyped and happy about Storm and her progress and evolution during Coates run on the BP, but I do see it from BP fans POV, as well.
I think ultimately BP fans want BP to have all the feats so if that is not happening there will be the perception he is being neglected but when reading the entire run I don't think that is a fair statement. KIB makes that very point. shuri and okoye showed deference to tchalla in such a fashion that was very OOC based on previous interactions but because Tchalla was the big bad most was ok with the depiction. I think its a fair for people to want to see tchalla to do everything in terms of saving the day but juat because that doesn't always happen does not equate to him being neglected imho.
The mentioned above, kyss, it is quite possible with the right development team just to clarify even though that each of those systems will be completely new, like the energy vision and the temperature and movement trails, the rest has already been developed in other games. Maybe except Water up/down. Not sure what you mean with that one, yogaflame, do you mean the raising of a water body? If yes, that is already part of many games which can raise the water level or lower it, via a switch. In this case, it will be via Storm capabilities, like a skill or something. Not that hard to rewrite only the part where the switch is the main control, in this case, will be a skill and it has to be applied to large water bodies, which is not that hard either.
Now, to add to the above, I would like to see the elemental combination which we saw in Master Wizard, for example, water with electricity does quite the damage, water with wind turns into icicles or snowstorm. The sky darkening as Storm summons, well a storm. That massive scale in which the dark clouds will spread over her head just to show her magnificence (it was done only in one game and not complete control but still quite the beautiful sight, check Skyrim Storm Call cry.)
I would also like to see those winds swirl around her, lifting her cape, her hair and eventually her body. I would like to see something like an open planet surface like in Starlink: Battle for Atlas, with a few planets, Earth of course with several important locations detailed enough for us to enjoy (like Wakanda, Kenya, a small part of Kairo where Ororo grew up as urchin, Krakoa, NYC, etc), and perhaps the Shi'ar Empire's planet and their capital city? Yep, I think that will be more than enough because we have only 60 GB with the planet construction and the systems so far. Then I would like to see portals across those two planets which we can use to travel between Krakoa and the other important locations with a small loading screen and with somewhat vast open ground that surrounds the cities, so we can explore the forest. Perhaps we can see a few statues of Bast, and the other Gods from Wakanda's Pantheon, and have missions or portals that could lead to the spiritual world.
And of course, one of the most important things, a very compelling and deep story concentrates on Storm, how she is worshipped, how she travelled from Egypt to Kenya, meets T'Challa on her journey. Then how she was invited to the X-Men and their first mission, All new X-Men issue, and from there, we can move on to more originality where we will have several training courses with Danger Room where Storm can train her physical attributes. And from there, I would probably start to weave a story like no other story which will visit Storm ancestors, the Bright Lady, and then move back to the current time where she will be expanding on her Godhead and finally, she will meet with Osthar so she can help her train her Godhood, with Thor as another Guest who will assist her with Gaia, and then move to the other guests with a few X-Men missions, with Cyclops and Jean, Storm still being the centric figure. I will probably leave Scott to be a leader, add a few flirtatious comments between them, while Jean is not around, or why not with Jean around I am sure she might find it funny. And I will slowly progress to the second part of the story where she is faced with a big Deity, a new one for Storm's roster that she will keep coming back fighting him with her Godhood powers, of course, I have a few deities on mind but I will keep that for myself. And then move on to the third part of the story where it shows Storm as a fully established Goddess and OLM that posses an Elemental form in which she can change at will.
I have a lot of ideas for her skillset, I struggle a bit with the common enemies she will face, but hey if I do get to make such a game I will not be alone at thinking over that. By the end, I am quite certain that there will be at least a few hundred hours with a few tens after that with upcoming Season Pass and DLCs.
I have ideas, quite a lot of ideas for Storm, but that is just a small part of them.
Oh, I love all of your ideas! I want to play this game!
By water up/down I meant like increase or decrease humidity, so like you could dehydrate an enemy, or hydrate the air around them so much as to drown them. You could also do tk-level hydrokinesis/waves/clouds. Just having that level of interaction with an open world(or several, with the gates) would be so cool. Storm really could be her own franchise....
I want the Brood homeworld and the galactic core feat in this game while we're daydreaming!

Hot mess. that was a hot mess. Honestly the best part of Bp 23 was the Storm back up story. Dang that was a tedious read. Romonda got some nerve.

Nothing happened. The story did not move forward at all. [spoil] Storm says she replaced the Orisha but also joined them somehow. How can you replace something that nobody knows what it is. Tchalla gives a long boring speech that i'm sure pretty much no one cared about despite someone of course saying "greatest speech ever." ramonda wants to give reparations to ogres for stealing their land in the past and offer them HONOR in return." art wasn't even consistent in the book. The best part was the back up Story where Storm saves a new mutant and brings her to krakoa, a girl who lived close to Storm homeland. The writer really got Storm voice, pleasantly suprised. Art was beautiful too and the Acuna parts was good. Other than that this was a hot mess for how long it took especially. [/spoil]
In other news Synch did that in x-men.
I have to agree the issue was a complete set up for the next issue. Nothing really happened in this book.

And the characters say nothing. It took both storm and brother voodoo to basically say nothing. I just..
Everybody had a dumb speech.
Oh and storms [spoil] "tchalla I thought you would be happy to see your friends" when she flies in just to inform him they are there. Like use a comm storm." [/Spoil] I just don't think he cares for tchalla at all.
And was it ever advertised to artist would be working on the main story. Very jarring

I see thanks for the info
I can FINALLY talk about the BP issue and Marvel Voices.
Both were exceptional and well-written. These are stories I want to read.
[spoil] Storm finally acknowledges that she is a part of the wakandan pantheon and works with the Wakandans to prepare to battle the invasion that the orisha help instigate. Thinking Coates is about to set our girl up to fight the orisha
Marvel voices we see for the first time in ages ororo's connection with the planet emphasized and she helps to teach a new generation of young mutants[/spoil]
The bottom of the line what a great day to be a storm fan. the next couple of months should be really good buckle up!
its now canon babies and official. its time for the X-offices to step their game up:

Black Panther 23 Review
[spoil]The issue starts where we left off in issue 22. The galactic Wakandan memories are restored based to the ancestors' sacrifice and it results in chaos among N'Jadaka forces. N'Jadaka destroys the ships of his own army as some of the Wakandan who memories are restored begin to fight back. He is in a seemingly weakened state due to not being able to control the symbiote and has an internal dialogue with the symbiote essence. With the gate to wakandan prime disabled the Symbiote essence states they will strike the Wakandan empire with the strength of Gods.
The story shifts back to Wakanda Prime where Tchalla gives a riveting speech ahead of the invasion they are expecting from N'Jadaka and his forces. He honors Nakia's sacrifice and ask if she made the ultimate sacrifice what will they do. It then cuts to Zenzi and Bast having a conversation where Zenzi expresses that N'Jadaka is growing weak do to not being able to properly host the symbiote but Bast reassures her the orisha are never alone.
Back in Wakanda prime, the Orisha said have assembled after T'Challa speech. Shuri believes this to be a sign they are there to support in their fight against the galatic wakandans but Ororo cautions that their silence is not an indication of their favor. It is here that she finally accepts her godhead and states she is a part of the Wakandan Pantheon. Jericho agrees with Storm to be cautious of the Orisha presence.
The story the transitions to another location in Wakanda where Ramonda and one of he Mages go to the portal that was closed that locked away the original wakandans. The originators are insulted by her presence and Ramonda essential states she cannot undo the past but can offer them another land in the skies as a form of reparation if they agree to help fight against the common threat that will soon invade wakanda.
The story then shifts back to Ororo and Tchalla. Though Ororo tries to reassure him, he is unsettled by the Orishas presence and believes the wakandans are being setup. Bast appears and she with the help of the Orisha open a portal that allo Njadaka forces to invade Wakanda. The issue ends with the heroes flying towards the portal for the final battle[/spoil]
This issue was primarily setup for the last arc of Coates' run but I thought both the story and art were beautiful. Coates ability to take real-world issues (such as reparations) and connecting it in a meaningful way into his story is masterfully done. Wherever you may fall on the topic it causes the reader at least to think about these polarizing topics, which is very much purposeful. Also, seeing these black heroes assembled to help tchalla against this common threat was a nice visual seeing we are in Black history month. This issue is a reminder of the strength of tchalla as leader. The interactions felt very much so organic and not robotic. It was refreshing to see. His ability to inspire and to also have enough foresight to see when he is being duped. I'm very excited for the next few issues it should be pretty epic.
Marvel Voices Review
I want give a spoilers of this one but Saint Bodhi from Def Jam does a beautiful job very concisely capturing the characteristics of Ororo that we all as fans love. One thing I will say is that she wrote a detail that hasn't been seen for a very a long time
[spoil] ororo senses the earth is being damaged in her sleep[/spoil]
I cant recall a recent time a current writer remembered this detail about our girl.

Let him raze it to ashes and soot...because that's ALL the past 5 years of BP stories are good for.
The next writer will still have to come in and rebuild from ground up...hopefully...if he's not one of those Coates sympathisers.
And thank the Goddess HiX-Man and Co. will not be perpetuating that Storm is a Wakandan Orisha Goddess nonsense, going forward.
I’m just happy this clown is gonna be leaving Black Panther for good. But of course he’s burning everything down on his way out.
how is he burning everything on his way out? the issue was very well done and tchalla is the focal point and driving force to this story.
Coates making Wakandans slavers, past, present, and future, has got to be the worst addition to the canon, ever. What the heck was Marvel thinking giving him the BP franchise just as it ascended to global consciousness? If Storm is indeed their goddess, they should be kneeling and begging for her mercy, not having her clean up all of their messes.
The back up story was far better than the main, but the ending was jarring. Storm needed to get them dudes arrested or at least have some cloud monsters eat them or something before the 'happy ending'.

the aspects of slaves (past and present) is an actual aspect of human society. for example the slave trade in the 1600/1700s and then the current sex trafficking. it's humanity that Coates is speaking to and I dont see how wakanda would be insulated from that. and ororo is just one of their many gods!!! such an awesome addition to her canon.
I loved her teaching the babies and the part she experienced in her dream was perfection!
:)
I really hope the next writer comes in and recons this entire CRAP coates run.

It's not fair that BP fans had to be subjected to a writer that choose to tear down the mythos his entire run. Anything can be retcon and quite frankly BP writers has a history pretty much rewriting things every run anyway so in this case I fully hope this run is written out. He has cemented himself among the writers who should never touch BP again along with Roy Thomas, Bendis, and Johnathan Maberry. You're free to like what you like.

what exactly did Coates rewrite? the gods storyline didn't exist before him nor did the galactic one. and considering redjack doesn't like the relationship between tchalla and ororo yet still wrote them as such gives me reason to believe things won't be written out as you mentioned but anything is possible.

I don't give two shits about today's BP issue (it was a freaking chore to read through), but I'm here for Synch's powerup. Yes! And thank you.
I really hope the next writer comes in and recons this entire CRAP coates run.
They don't even have to retcon it...they can just ignore it as if it never happened. Keeping in mind everything that's going on in X-Men and Avengers currently that have nothing to do with BP's "galactic slave wars" story.
And, as it is now...with the relationship between Storm and T'Challa, the X-writers have already moved on beyond what's in today's BP...it's literally "so last year".
If you were to ask HiX-Man today: "Is Storm still a Wakandan Orisha?" you'd most likely get a blank stare and "crickets".
