I can only imagine how glorious it is to have storm be on your side in a battle. Her power is soo visually stunning and intimidating that it can quell entire armies just by they seeing it. Plus she is always going to look the coolest ok the field no matter what.
Ohk so onto the issue I want to ask a question. The alien entity said they wondered if weather manipulation had any limits. And I have been wondering that myself does weather manipulation have any true limits. Because the more I think about it and by that I mean universally taking into account the number of things and energies and forces involved in weather creation throughout the universe. I believe there maybe none.
Cause we have seen storm can affect alot of things which don't fit your run of the mill weather manipulator. So I would like some help with these my big brained storm fans.

Oh I realized how I framed the question implies a more esoteric edge but I am simply looking at the scientific side of the ability. As in what are the logical endpoints of an omega level weather manipulator such as storm.

I believe the manipulation of the fundamental forces of the universe, at least the electromagnetic force and gravitational potential energy. I believe the strong force also influences the weather (not sure).
Does anybody know if Storm has ever directly manipulated electrons? If so she could remove them in anybody or thing and they'd disintegrate/breakdown... unless they could control their own electrons.

There are no limits. More than 99% of the universe is made up of plasma or ionized gas. She can perceive and manipulate it to her will just as easily as she controls the wind.

I really hope Ewing pulls out all the stops for her. I'm getting the vibe that that he's going to do something major for her since she's fighting the Lethal Legion and they just ripped apart the imperial guard like they were fodder. Also, that line about wondering if weather manipulation had any limits. I find it strange that he felt the need to throw that in since we the readers already know by definition of her Omega status, the answer is no. At this stage the only limits on her powers would be her physical body as Magneto showed us off panel when he tried to move the space station into the sun and got a fatal aneurysm.

I know that gravity is responsible for certain anomalies in weather such as gravity waves and literally holding the entire atmosphere in place in the first place.
But as to the string and weak force I don't really know about that. Electromagnetic force that is a said and done thing.

I don't know when she has directly manipulated electrons but it is stated that she constructs lightning like jewelry and if that doesn't have anything to do with electron manipulation I don't know what is. Also electron manipulation alone would make storm op as hell as she can literally manipulate matter directly and disintegrate anything by manipulating their innate electric field..

I would like to see storm manipulate the damn sun. It is well within her power and as regent of Sol it only makes sense that she do this. To demonstrate her power over the very beating heart of the entire system.

Before I became a member I remember reading the forums and people were wondering if Storm could just send a massive solar flare at the station and be done with it. Now that would of been a sight!

Dwayne McDuffie confirmed her control over electrons back when she dissipated stardust. Also, in X-treme X-men it was noted that she could percieve the flow of electrons leading up to a burst of lightning and I quote "observing how lightning was born, allowed her to create it"

1. Yes black bolts ability is electron manipulation most potently through his vocal cords. That destructive capability of his is well within storm's ability and then some as she can on theory at least manipulate positrons which are created by thunderstorms. Like the sheer potential of this her electrokinetic ability alone is almost impossible to fathom. It is very very very vast and that's just one sub sub set of her omega ability. From manipulating the neural impulses reading thought patterns and manipulating people's bodily actions to warping entire magnetic fields of stars and black holes.

He said Storm took control of the electrons in Stardust's body and sent them back with enough force to temporarily dissipate their energy form. Also I edited my previous post to include the confirmation from X-treme X-men
I am hoping ewing has someone use a weapon on storm that stops her mutant powers and once and for all she goes amped full goddess and they shoot her again to restore it finding she is far more powerful now that she has ascended and mainly uses her mutant powers to control herself. i can dream.

Exactly and negate the abilities of black bolt In its entirety as he uses electrons to do everything. And she can manipulate more than just electrons in theory but also positrons as thunderstorms create antimatter.

Being [I]able[/I] to "erase anybody" and being [I]willing[/I] to do so...are two entirely separate things. Storm is not a villain. Despite the catastrophic nature of her powers, her character is not one to use such fatal, destructive measures unless as a very last resort and most likely, not even then.
Also...I'm thinking while she can manipulate electrons directly (lightning), on an atomic level, she doesn't destroy/remove them, instead she changes its atomic/molecular state as when she dissipated Stardust (pure energy) and Hydroman (water...turned into vapour) and why they were able to reconstitute after a while.
Going further...if she were to remove all the electrons at an atomic level then the atoms only become ionic...and a whole bunch of other stuff come into play depending on whether it's a solid liquid or gas. In other words...seems like a lot of frikkin unnecessary work when there are more efficient and expedient ways to accomplish a goal.

1. See this is just one aspect about Storm that I love! Her powers can pull from either real science OR anything a writer can come up with. There's so much untapped potential that I don't think two or three writers could really put a dent into the full scope of her MUTANT abilities.

Actually I would hope this is the route he takes. In his interview he said "[B] I want to stress that I am writing a very powerful version of Storm, with the goddess cred she got from the Black Panther run[/B]", so considering how they easily curb stomped the Imperial Guard I think now would be a good time to break out some divine wrath.

I'd want her to go FTL actually. If she's gearing up to be apart of the cosmic landscape like I hope she is then she's going to need to be able to get where she needs to go. Maybe tie together her divine power as a sort of cosmic awareness while her mutant powers generate somethin like a wormhole? Or hell just straight up teleportation via Goddess power. I mean even at light speed look how long it would take her to reach our cosmic neighbor Andromeda. Now think about how scattered about the other space faring civilizations are.

Your absolutely right. I would like to see her on the cosmic stage. If we're adding some form of cosmic travel. Let's just bring the ruby back into play as part of her arsenal.

I'd be hyped it her Ruby was put to more use and not just as a fashion piece. Hell, Pixie learned a teleport spell and its used so often it may as well be considered apart of her mutant powers.
