-Magneto pulling iron from the Kiper belt. - Yes, I think she could gather and move the iron with enough concentrated solar wind
-Vulcan & Hope Kamehameha'ing the iron. - Yes. I think through her temp control and sustained lightning.
-Magneto "Stirring the sauce". No, I don't think so. Rotating the metal to generate gravity and the magnetic field requires an application of power we haven't seen from her. She's manipulated and created magnetic fields but not manipulated metal in any form.
-Hope and Proteus cooling the planet (?) - Yes.
-Iceman making a polar ice cap. - Yes.
-Soubnar's Ocean eco-system. - No. Since she's controlled hydrogen and oxygen she could create water but not in the volume of an ocean (not enough oxygen). Plus she couldn't create the life forms that reside in the ecosystem.
-Xilo and Elixer giving 'life'. - No.
My take on PSXM - enjoyed it! With the cover only being the 4 Omegas (probably your highest profile omegas) I was just imagining them working together to terraform, but it was still pretty bad ass. I would've liked to see Storm spearhead the terraforming, since her unique bond with the earth/universe would make her best suited for it (plus I think for this type of endeavor she'd be the perfect POV character) but Magneto was on point. Storm's brief moment was pretty epic. Establishing a life sustaining and supporting climate and natural weather systems, connecting the land, sea and air for an entire planet (all under her own power) is amazing. I was hoping for more epic imagery, like Magneto's opening or Bobby's omnidirectional ice, but the description was claremontian deliciousness. I also liked her dialogue with Magneto. It would be interesting if they build on their relationship beyond colleagues to a stronger friendship. The way he described her as a goddess gives the impression that he highly respected her, but it's been years since we've seen them interact in amiable way on panel. PLUS - I am excited to see where this goes. I was hoping for more than a hint (but I'll take it) as to the big plans - Regent of Sol would be amazing. Of course so long as it represents a role of significance to build her agency within the X-Verse/MU a whole. That would be a fitting role for her and I'd love to see her wield it competently but with fierce boldness, edge and determination. I'm also curious, if she is going to be the Regent and part of the QC, how she will engage and work with the Arrko council. I of course would've like more of her here in this issue but it was an 8/.5/10 for me.
I believe below she used electromagnetism to manipulate these blades:

it's not on magnetos level but she has at least one showing of this.
-
Hmmm I guess we would have wait and see these "big" plans that they have for her. Because right now I don't see it, magneto and xavier practically begged namor to be on their council he said he wanted a planet he they have a planet now and an entire solar system it doesn't take much knowledge of the xoffice and their relationship with storm to see how this can play out...but I hope our girl gets named regent and actually does something instead of just being a figure head.
Call me pessimistic but I don't really see it either. It also would seem to come out of no where too although it could be a great way to give an important role to perhaps the last major character that doesn't really fit in the current puzzle in a big way. As many has pointed out, Storm is still a feature queen. This will give her a grand role and hopefully a book to focus on her, but honestly I'm not holding my breath.

I agree she's definitely used EM and I recall this instance. I just mean taking direct control over the metal itself vs using a magnetic field to attract the metal in the scan. Like I can't imagine her shaping the metal or rotating the liquid magma, let alone at a speed needed.

yes that makes sense and I would agree.
I believe anything with electrons/energy she technically should be able to manipulate it. im waiting for her to have a similar moment with earth metals as she did when she realized she could manipulate the ocean:

only with metal she "sees" the electrons in metals and uses this perception to begin manipulating it.

I mean didn't she use planetary magnetic fields to draw out magma from the earth in her solo.
Also yh electron manipulation should afford storm A HOST of abilities. But I don't think we would get that.
oh thanks!!
I love your input!! I would love to see storm creating life to this disagreed but the moment she did they would off the character im sure.
Ofcourse they can't have that it would make her too powerful and would Affect the ensemble story they are trying to tell. But if storm is going to become regent she needs a power display soo great it cements her authority in the MU and a one off of her doing something like this would do just that and put the fear of the goddess in all.

Looking forward to sword and GOTG. I don't want to get my hopes up but i do feel storm is going to be the regent but i dunno. I also think if she is she will hopefully play a part in galaxy etc but then i would not be suprised if they give it to namor since, yeah. But i also think it would be beneficial to have Namor and the Atleanas move to Arrako where he can rule the seas but then i'm sure there must be some Arrako mutants that are water based as well so could be interesting seeing Storm trying to bring those two together on planet and interact off planet. But i've completely pulled back to wait and see though no matter what happens i'm sticking with GOTG and Sword. I mean just the last few issues of GOTG had me thinking "storm, storm storm" they way they were talking about the rarity of finding new planets or planets that can support life. I could easily imagine storm helping to heal planets as a way to get allies and outreach. I still remain very satisfied with what we got of Storm in dawn and i remember even back then we weren't even expecting what we did get. lol
Until they started gassing up our expectations. I honestly feel this is the first time i've really had expectations of some form of prominence but to me that one falls on the team because they kept saying. "big plans coming. Story arc." So naw expectations aren't on us this time around.

That's the thing though...she probably could find ways to do most of what occurred but...it would have taken vast amounts of energy and time. This issue showed the power of team work.

You are right hence why the omega mutants were all invited. Ok her own yh she could do a majority of these things but it would take a while, but with others it took a few hours.

I don't think sobunar would permit namor coming to rule his ocean his blood. What is going to happen is soo much we really need a title dedicated to the Sol regent and the arakki mutants how they play off each other I guess sword would handle that bit I am excited to see them yesterday I really enjoyed the arakki mutants and have become a Stan. I also hope the regent is storm there is strong evidence it's her but we have to wait and see.

So Storm's big moment that we'd all be talking about in Planet Sized X-Men was...what, exactly?

Creating the entire climate ad weather system for the entire planet. Climate involves the convection currents which control tectonics and geothermal gradients, ocean currents and migration patterns, weather systems among others. It's a big feat and she did it all unaided.

I would definitely not mind a STORM: Regent of Sol book.
It would definitely be interesting, i think as a living ecosystem he would have a fondness for them. Could you imagine namor creating a training system or right of passage where young atlanteans have to survive the oceans of sobunar on arrako. lol.
If Storm does join sword at this point i would definitely have my mind blown in a good way. Especially with Dr. Doom there right now and Ewing writing both GOTG and SWORD.

Another meaningless feat. Great.
Meanwhile Cyclops and Jean get to be the co-main stars of the new flagship team. Remember when Storm was as important to the franchise as they were?

What do you mean meaningless!?
Granted as Storm fan we've been saying she can do these things and more from her inception and just because The XWriter are just late to the party doesn't mean it wasn't meaningful.
And I know the others are just speculating but if Storm was chosen for Regent of Sol would it than be worthy?
And what would you consider a worthy Storm feat ?
This question goes out to everyone.

I don't care about feats, they don't make a character interesting imo.
I just want her to be treated as important to the franchise as they treat Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean, Emma and Magneto.
I understand that Cyclops and Jean are kind of the "main" characters of the franchise but she should be equal to them.
I wonder if things would be different today if she was part of Morrison's cast.

I don't really think in terms of feats because my mind fills in those things for me. Like in planet size we know for a fact all the mutants were on a small ship together on their way to mars, meaning they all arrived there at the same time and were doing their thing, which is why hope was never with Storm because the whole time she was in the sky over seeing what they were doing it making it work together as evident by the cyclone in the sky over iceman. So to me i thought dang she is really holding it down. Or like when people say lightning lass i'm usually thinking, "um, you know she uses wind to fly right?"
But then there are blatant direspects which are rare Like bendis bug mouth foaming. For a character that got to do absolutely nothing her entire time in avengers that irked me big time. But those times are rare.

I think this is fair considering she is the most popular female character they have. she is always on merchandising, always on covers but why do the stories told never reflect the importance of the character? I think your criticism is fair and valid.

My Storm Feat would again be combating a group while being in a volatile situation solo and having to do multiple things simultaneously for an extended amount of time.

I think we know the true answer to this. Marvel wants to appear that they care about diversity so include her on their merchandise but don't pay the same respect to her or black comic book readers in reality.

I'm going to need to see some displays other than weather control. ororo should be taking out bots with em blasts, radiation waves, freezing opponents insides and shutting people down by forcefully taking control of their bodily fluids. im a bit tire of the lack of creativity.

honestly I feel like the avengers side put a decent effort towards diversity. they have a few minority/female led books where stories can center around them. however, the same isn't true for the xbookz. the stories center around their white characters and the only ones thus far to get solo books hsvr been white men. there has to be a shift within the creative team of the xoffuces for true changes to the stories we read.

hold on guys, I know a lot of us are tired of waiting for X-Office to make Ororo relevant again but since they promised this year would be Storm's year I think we should wait until SWORD #6 comes out to make conclusions about the " Big plans".
We still have 3 things about Storm in this era that we still don't know what it's about: Her Space Program, Elemental Cosmic heart and supposedly the Regent of Sol thing and depending on how it's developed Storm could be the most important X-Men in RoX.
After Planet Size I'm willing to give X-Office a chance until the SWORD stuff comes out.

thats been a common theme though with storm fans where we find ourselves waiting and seeing. its exactly what we did after the annulled marriage so though Hickman is a part ofva different team it still feels like more of the same, at least for me. while I do agree waiting until sword 6 is fair I cannot fault some of her fans for calling the xofffices out for their handling of the character over the years.

I don't think in this era Storm will be considered The Most Important character of the X-line.
With Everything that has transpired since HoX/PoX...With Jean and Scott headlining the X-Men. Magneto and Xavier and Moira focusing on Krakoa internal politics. With Emma being the head of "Marketing and Distribution and Promotion" ...that is absolutely not the case.
Depending on what Ewing brings to the table with the Powers Cosmic ...Storm will certainly be One of the Most Important characters...if it pans out.
The days of "One Character to Rule them All" are long gone...this is the era of "All for One"

Meaning i understand X-men is a team world so i get that "not everything can focus on one character. or a character may not get an arc in a team book." which i'm cool with. I usually go with the flow. But when your telling me over and over as a creator you have big plans and a specific story i think it's fair when people have some expectations. It doesn't need to be a solo or whatever but even an arc or two that focuses on what her intents are and delve into what direction she chooses whatever that may be is enough. Because that is what we were told we would get. A big story featuring Storm and a new direction for her. Whatever it is i'm cool i just want to see it.

Oh a star level feat would really give heft to the regent of Sol title.
Also yes storm is more than worthy. She is the only one that the avengers might whine less about as their regent. She is easily the most diplomatically savy of the xmen. And she is a natural ruler.

It breaks my heart that we as black comic fans love comics sooo much but we know deep down they do not love us back. But sadly that's how the system is people write stories about themselves. Hence why I want storm to move to BP or something but not the xoffice. I think the regent is above commanding the sword space ship. The regent is the ruler hence all sword ships are for them. I remember the marauders 20 cover where she is looking up at the stars.
