Who cares about those worthless shit stains Fox created. Fox Storm, like many characters, are watered down compared to what they can do in comics, and are not the standard for how they should be presented. Go pick up a comic and get the facts before coming to her appreciation thread spewing this garbage. Like Jwatson stated Storm has and can generate bio electricity and has down so multiple times from the beginning. Your movie verse head canon doesn’t change those facts.
Watered down is an understatement.....she was not storm not in the slightest she was an imposter. Her strength of charachter was just sooo damn weak. Like if you read the comics before hand and you see fix X-Men movies you would be insulted by what was presented to you.
My God even the kids cartoons did it better, Twice!

I just met a character named Krystalin, her mutant power is the ability to extract minerals from the atmosphere to form crystalline constructions like blades, shields... And I wonder if Storm would also have the ability to do something similar or in environments like these planets that have a meteorological condition totally different from Earth.

No, it was just a grounded version of them. Just different. The movies were great and brilliant, and some of them were cinematic superhero masterpieces.

Not true. In X1, she was the true heart of the team along with Rogue. In X2, her role has been expanded, and she looked and felt awesome, as well as being pivotal in many sequences. In X3, she was the leader of the X-Men. And I loved Shipp's version in "Apocalypse" and "Dark Phoenix", younger and still growing as X-Man.

She can manipulate minerals in the air to form hard crystalline objects in any shape, she mainly uses this power to create powerful weapons. She first appeared in X-Men

It wasn’t grounded. These characters were absolutely awful and Fox and Singer didn’t appreciate them. Rogue was made into a damsel and distress and Storm was not only depleted but had not fighting skills. Singer is a sec offender who didn’t like powerful women heroes and clearly neither did Fox. The film was Wolverine abd hjs sidekicks, where the only two characters developed besides Wolverine were Xavier and Magneto. Mystique didn’t even speak
And was reduced to Magneto’s assistant.

On top of being watered down with no fighting skills Fox didn’t have people with the brains to get a good wig for Halle. A white wig looks horrible on a real brown skinned woman. X-Men 3 the wig looked better and more natural because it was grey, which looks better on darker skin.

Rogue's biggest fight was against her seatbelt in the second movie and she lose
Rogue's biggest fight was against her seatbelt in the second movie and she lose
I remember. She did nothing at all in X-Men 3 but want the cure so she can sleep with Iceman.
At least Storm finally got to physically fight in that movie and shoot lightning out of her hands. And she finally got to fly.
Singer was absolutely awful and mediocre and his films came to an epic end. Singer was going to direct Dark Phoenix until he got MeTooed.

I don't need that. The movies are great, and they speak for themselves anyway. They don't need advocates.
They were just a different take from the comics. Beware, MCU will soon deliver a childish version with one-liners and jokes.

Like with all that money they couldn't secure a good wig?
And the colour of the hair, storm is the only person I have ever met whose hair get blacker the older she gets.
Can Storm do what this mutant Krystalin does, or something similar?
She can manipulate the elements in the atmosphere so yes she should be able to do this. I have always imagined storm creating an ice castle in the sky where she loves her own fortress of solitude. But she can do more than create ice she can in theory create diamonds by using the carbon in the atmosphere.
I am sorry I am not giving a lengthy reason why, but I kinda get bumped learning that storm should be able to do something and realizing that won't ever be the case.
-
the only way I can see anyone enjoying the xmen movie is if you happen to be a Wolverine, magneto, xavier, mystique, Marvel girl super fan or not have any knowledge of 616. Nothing about the movies did storm any justice. I dont blame the actresses here just the crappy writing/screenplay.
Thank the goddess the fox verse is no more and we are beyond that dark period.

No problem, thanks for helping me, I think she would have better chances in environments like those planets/dimensions that rain diamonds, or in this case it would be the easiest way for writers to use their neurons, although it's hard for us to see her do that.

tbh i like the movies but as a storm fan i feel offended by how storm was portrayed in the movies as well as kyss said i don't think it was the actresses' fault but the script, anyone who has the slightest knowledge about 616 storm and other X-Men should know that most of the characters in the movies are poorly portrayed in both powerwise and personality, lol I don't even feel that Fox Storm is Storm looks more like a woman with a cheap white wig that occasionally comes to shoot lightning.

exactly. I feel like the actresses get unfair criticism. they can only work with the script they are given. I did appreciate what Halle did to get ororo a larger role in x3.

Go right ahead. I didn’t break any forum rules by calling out the BS in your post. Your opinion is fine. You using movie verse Storm to tell us how her powers work is where you are getting called out. I stand by what I said. Get your facts straight.
No, it was just a grounded version of them. Just different. The movies were great and brilliant, and some of them were cinematic superhero masterpieces.
You can think they were brilliant but we all l know the movies were complete crap, and if you use the MCU as a metric you can see a glaring difference is how Fox botched the X-Men. Capt America, BP, BW, Capt Marvel, Spidey, Scarlet Witch (and I can go on) where still grounded but characterization was respected, capabilities pretty spot on with their comic counterparts and balanced presentment w/ screen time vs Fox’s repeated failures at “Wolverine and the mediocre mutant that couldn’t”.

Ikr! It's like the new house of the dragon series people were complaing that there are black people who are valeryans but when that trailer came out and we saw that dark skin and the white dreads people automatically shut up. Because it is stunning!
I believe the colour contrast is what makes storm soo striking visually that and her heigh and very beautiful face.
