By that same logic...I can infer, based on the cover image for BP 03, that she doesn't lose.
Going by the co-leads of that team and where they are based (on Chandilar)...it's more a possibility that it's another Shi'ar internal/political issue, that has absolutely nothing to do with Storm or Planet Arakko
-
Nah, people on Reddit are also wondering the same. Just said it’s a possibility, unless Xandra is facing an entirely new threat, which is also possible but kind of redundant if that’s the case. Would be the hundredth time she needs saving. I’m not advocating for Storm to lose lol… In fact I hope she doesn’t
I am bad at reddit can you link me storm sub Reddits if you can
-
So because the Shiar are involved in something it automatically means Storm is involved??? I didnt know she had to hold their hand and they're the only space ppl she's involved with and vice versa.
-
perhaps the team will go at the request of the Storm itself, who may be occupied with other matters at the moment.
I would say Korra is very very good at making war and an absolute mess of things. Like that is the reason some people hate her. And I am very sure Korra has killed someone before maybe not on screen but definitely. That show was very hard like people were offing people offing themselves and shit. It wasn't that kiddie show last Airbender lol.
I know the Red Lotus killed many people, Mako killed that waterarm lady, that metal bending lady killed the female combustion bender, but I don't remember Korra killing anyone[other than some spirit world monsters, maybe). It's possible that I am forgetting something if you have an example.

Storm needs a Red Lotus.
-
That would be a great template for a Storm rogue's gallery. They were my favorite part of the whole show! The fact that it took a whole squad of airbenders to make one tornado, or that only two Airbenders in all recorded history could fly, really shows Storm is on an entirely different echelon compared to them, though, now that I think back to season 3.

The avatar states power was only able to conjure a category 2 hurricane. So yh storm is severely above them in power.

Okay, yeah basically{more like dissipated his spiritform, but sure}. I forgot about that, but it is an extremely exoteric form of 'killing'.

Still ended him plus the turf wars and stuff. Case in point Korra has no hang up about ending someone if it means there would be peace.

Ugh such a good show. Kuvira was pretty bad ass. Makes me want to re-watch the show.
I was reading an old thread from like 2018 with Storm vs Korra (I have no life when I'm not at work, moving on...) and people really underestimate Storm's H2H skills. The way they talk she could hardly hold her own against even the usual fodder of the Avatar-verse, never mind people like Korra or Aang.
Agreed. Its all troll haterade really. Ive seen some these arguments just because she doesn’t have a specific fighting style or defeated a big name they try not give her credit. Like we don’t get that reaction with Cyclops because on panel/handbook he has 2 black belts and can blind fight thugs, but Storm can hold her own against Dora Milaje, Shuri, and beat trained fighters with better physical stats than Korra ( Callisto, Marrow, CC, Khan and Nighteyes) but some how she isn’t skilled? Lol they need to gtfo.
Yh the strongest hand to hand fighters in the avatar universe too 10 aang is not part he used airbending to evade shit all the time. Korra on the other hand had raw strength and skill and was very direct. But storm is kinda better than her in hand to hand combat obviously not as good as Tylee or even azula but definitely better than Korra. Korra's only advantage over her is raw strength but we all know our goddess just needs a good knife to fell a foe.
Also side note. On twitter there are people that are saying Korra would beat storm. And all I can say is that this is what you get when you don't develop Storm's abilities beyond lightning bolts and giving her knife fights every month instead of letting her be omega. They were even making jokes that storm's knifes won't save her as Korra had metal bending and could easily counter her knife mutation.
I don’t think Storm needs a blade with Korra. Korra is very skilled and I think a good match for Storm but to Ororo’s credit she’s fought and beaten stronger and faster opponents who are also competent.

Wow this Korra battle is making me loose sleep
Anyways here's my per elements pre assessment
1. Wind element goes to Storm (no Korra dont hold your breath she'll do that for you) enough said...
2. Unless Korra was already a master of Lightning, like even half of Azula -- Storm wins (why cant I stop thinking of War's head with a little rain cloud hovering above her ;p as a still the cutest counter attack to fire element?)
3. Water element - is basically Korra's home grown element being water tribe based avatar -- Storm can break down those water particles or flash freeze anything water or precipitation but Korra can retaliate with dun dun dun in a far stretch Blood bending - if she knew this I dont remember if she can do it (as far as the show is concerned its Katara who's done it -- she may have been taught but I dont remember it credited to Korra's -- its been a while since I saw that series but water benders are the most creative coz surprisingly sweat bending is also logical -- plus the freaking healing cheat....and yup this is what it would prolly look like if Omega Iceman clashes with Storm
4. Lastly I dont wanna do this but damn her sneaky knife set arent made of plastics but of course metal/ and her claustrophobia is susceptible to earthly confining element like lets say Korra took points from Doom -- and chrome garments (I can see Storm throwing a building at a juggernaut 90's style too but thats prolly too slow for Korra not to earth bend)
The only tie breaker here is actually their states -- Avatar State and Godhood state if ever those are points...too...lets not forget that Avatar state was Korra's weakness and has that last past elemental lives cheat not work so much to her advantage but hello glorious Goddess Unleashed -- which I dont need to explain anymore...
Now have Storm steal Boomerang for that extra point on why anyone would think it was fair for Korra to face Storm

This is why I really want storm to versatlise her powers. We know she can manipulate magnetic fields to manipulate lava what's stopping her from manipulating metal? Yh storm on her worst day holds far more power than an avatar state on it's best day. Plus we are forgetting cosmic elemental forces which are a whole can of worms.

Ew.
Storm dominate wind
Storm dominate water.
When it comes to fire Storm got that lighting for that @$$. And than some.
Earth is utterly useless.
Metal bending is going to be an annoyance.
Blood bending doesn't stop Storm from accessing her powers.
As for Spirt bending , she's the Strongest Spirt there is and second to none to will power.
As for the Avatar state. Storm been slapping Omega's left and right since her inception and far more dangerous foes.
Korra sit down. Storm got more powers, more versatility, more defense, more onslaught, more stamina, more experience.
-
Storm can flash freeze her instantly.
Blow her up from the inside or crush her with wind.
Keep it so cold she can't ignite a flame.
If korra want to blood end storm can start an internal attack in so many plethora of ways.
With ppl like wolverine , colossus, Magento, Polaris, metal is not an issue.
Avatar State meet the always eye glowing Goddess of the Elements.
-
what about short circuit her synapse then vacuum out all the air out of her lungs crystalize her blood to tear and slice through her veins in her brain.
Ororo and Yukio holding hands walking towards the sunset. The End.

Ew to you too...did you just copy my bullets?
-
Two things, Korra doesn't know how to blood-bend, it was a restricted ability and she never used it during the show.
Storm's abilities are not movemen/stands based, meaning she doesn't have to move to manipulate the elements. She can attack Korra with just her thoughts
-
Thank you for clarifying that -- blood bend -- I wasnt really sure about that coz X-men over Avatar rewatch wins its just that is memorable move worth mentioning -- unique to that show....anyways it is a stupid battle if id really be honest -- I dont wanna give anymore thoughts to it or effort to rewatch she aint even slightly a favorite --
Moving on...Now do we have anything coming this week for Storm or what --

If I'm not wrong, it looks like Phoenix Echo will face the Adversary in the next issues, I thought it was interesting to send it here, since Storm destroyed his physical body and banned him, lol

So guys I now realize what Al Ewing might be doing with storm as it pertains to her Divinity. Her hair becoming elemental is similar to a thing that happened in a game called hades. Where the big three Zeus, Poseidon and hades have their godhood manifest as their hair and beard. He could be using that concept as inspiration and also drawing from past claremont depictions of her.

Yh this would be great it would give us a gauge on just how powerful Hadari yao really is. Because beating Roma is one thing but beating the pheonix possesed host is kinda a bigger deal as even Thor can't do that.

I was under the impression that Adversary couldn't be killed 100% anyway so he was bound to pop back up eventually. However, if Echo actually has a lawn and drawn out fight I'm going to be slightly annoyed. While Storm one shot him, we never really got to see what she could do.

Absolutely yes! Ok it's the Phoenix that's dealing with the Adversary, but at least there could be a couple of pages involving Hadari Yao vs Sekafo. And if I'm not mistaken, the existence of the Adversary is fundamental to the universe, even if he is banned, he will always come back. I really wanted a mention of Storm in this Phoenix Echo issue.

This is hilarious cause by the time Korra's neurons begin firing away deciding on an element to use to then transmit signals to her joints start moving a well placed lightning bolt from Storm (well, any attack from her really) would've already hit her in the face

Yh but we have it as cannon that hadari yao is bigger than the adversary so I would say that if they fight and he hands pheonix's ass to her or at least she struggles against him it would give us a good idea of just how strong hadari yao is. Because he was one shotted by her easily.

But we already know how powerful Hadari Yao is through scaling and AP
1. Haven with fetus Adversary powers could create and destroy plane of reality that separated the multiverse and oblivion. Half of stood in everything and the other half in nothing
2. Roma attacked Adversary with her full power and it did nothing. Keep in mind after the energy matrix died Roma switched over to the magic of Otherworld which is stated to be pandimensional and the source of magic. Meggan used this to close the hole in reality that let the Chaos wave free. Roma also used it to briefly battle the Chaos wave (she lost)
3. Mastermind had the sword of Excalibur and amulet of right which had the power to slunder the multiverse and destroy the cosmos along with destroying Otherworld, a pan-dimensional realm which includes a nexus of creation Starlight Citadel. He used that power on Roma to kill her and she tanked it. Meanwhile, Adversary easily defeated her multiple times.
4. Adversary caused chaos that warped Roma's dimension which is stated to be a multiverse
5. Adversary manipulated the entire Starlight Citadel. The Starlight Citadel is infinite in space as it is a nexus to all of the dimensions in creation.
6. Adversary had to power to cause destructive chaos through all time strings in the time continuum
7. Adversary was stated to be a pan-dimensional demon of pure chaos. A piece of him that escaped in Forge's mind had the power to destroy the universe.
-

You're absolutely correct.
The adversary can not be 100% killed. His physical body can be destroyed and killed off this plane. But his true form is banished to the prison dimension where he escapes all the time. Adversary is one of those high beings who need a vessel or a physical body just to exist in the universe.
