Yes there was nice leadership moments for Storm. And I like how since cerebro can't track them she gave them a comm piece which doubles as a tracking device.
But very honestly CoTA could have been a Rouge's story solidifying her future leader status. But I guess it's just one of those last send off showing for her I guess maybe.

Author Ranson's style was a bit heavy with the black ink, so you can't see most irises color in most panels. But her eyes are still blue in this very page in closer scans. He doesn't do a good job rendering Storm and Bishops ethnic features, which is problematic, but overall I would say his less 'superhero-y' style paired well with the grounded, realistic story Claremont was telling in X-Treme X-Men:X-Pose, which was about news reporters preparing a news story about Storm's team, only for Warren to use X-Corp to squash the story. Holds up well even 18 years later(very obscure story, was its own 2 issue mini series). I miss this Ororo, who had her own agenda independent of Charles, the school, X-Corp, etc. The Krakoa nation state is a fertile concept to play with, but Storm hasn't been utilized well in this context yet. Reading X-Treme Storm navigate media, corporations, and politics so adroitly makes me wish Hickman et al would step it up.

Is this Korday and [I]X-Treme[/I]? Might be due to the films success with Halle as Storm because they didn't change her eye color. The series came out not long after. Looks like a hair style she had in X-Treme.

I thought xtreme was boring but storm stepping out and doing things her way I can never fault. all in all, this CotA storm being only concerned with mutants is soooooo OOC.

oh gotcha... so some are speculating storm will be on Hickman's unannounced book. I knew she was not going to join xmen but very excited for this prospect. what about you guys?

I'm excited for wherever she appears next. I think Hickman will be writing her too but i think the suprise will be Hickman is writing the book that affects the Marvel U after they are back on track in septermber and publishing switches hands. I also think Duggan X-team is going into the vault to take down the level 4 children based on the promotional art so they won't be on krakoa for some time. I'm excited, it should be cool to see how the vault has changed. And pepe is going to bring it. I could be wrong though but i don't think so.
It's also perfect because in the vault duggan on needs to focus on the team and whats inside of it. He doesn't have to be tied to pass relationships and can build in the vault. It's kind of genius idea for a super hero book. The book itself is a mission.

very interesting all of your points. I'm really excited to for the books including Duggan's book. I'm curious what exactly their mission will be and what consequences will result to krakoa because of the new teams actions within the the MU.

I think with whats happening in the main MU it will proably be something like we can't protect all of earth until we get rid of the children of the vault which will be the first arc and when they come out of then they will be a tight knit team that represents krakoa in whatever the main line is doing in september.

Could be. I wouldn't be suprised if it's change to that but i think the original intent was to havwe them human imo and see how mutants react to it from there. I don't think they were ever meant to go to krakoa and storm was going to help them in the outside world which would have jelled well with what was happening in outlaw and the other books before the delay. So i'm just relaxing and seeing where it goes now.

I read most of the time for Storm but I can find enjoyment in stories that she is not in sometimes. I'm not sure which the other person is but it doesn't seem really an issue as right now there is really only two candidates who will be writing her: Hickman or Ewing.

I’d like to point out that Storm’s speed with her powers is often overlooked. In a fight with Jean Grey Storm stated that although Jean can use Telekinesis, she needs to focus on order to utilize her powers whereas Storm’s powers are instinctual and happen instantly. And here she is shown summon all her elemental forces in the blink of an eye

I agree with you all. Ororo took a something that had always traumatized rogue to allow for a beautiful moment. I can't imagine how life altering that must have been for rogue.

I really hope so I got down after not seeing anything yet and hoped I’d be surprised by something in the forum. I guess my expectations are just really low but if this does indeed happen it will be much needed and well overdue. I like his ideas and I’m of the kind it’s time for her to branch outside of the XMen and have a voice within the Marvel Universe and build up her own rogues unique to her. A solo is just so needed.
