That was badass.
Last panel is definitely setting up for Storm in the future.
[spoil]Also the way she stopped that hammer! We've rarely ever seen her use lightning defensively at point-blank range, it acted like a force field[/spoil]

Exactly right! LOVED this issue! Cannot wait to see what they are planning with her (with possible Shiar connections). Part of me is thinking galaxy earth mother warrior type vibes :)
Will post more on this later.

it definitely was a [spoil] em field [/spoil]. that was pretty badass
I don't know what it was exactly, but it was cool!
Loving the red undercape, reminds me of X-Treme. Fun little issue, got to admit the Image/Homage Studios vibe to the art was nostalgic in an enjoyable way. I know some people don't like Booth for various reasons, but strictly in terms of art he did well. Hickman's writing errs on the dry side more often than not(at least when Roberto is not around), so his punchy style livened up the book, especially under Gho's colors.

[spoil]The end of X of Swords already mentioned that Ororo gazed at the stars and the Dawn of X teaser shows her with that little SWORD thing.
Definitely the immediate future of Storm is space.[/spoil]

the art was pretty bad to me especially the action parts but in terms of what happened:
,[spoil]lightning shield or em shield most likely the latter[/spoil]
no one can say she is a glass cannon anymore.
Did someone say red undercape? Also what book came out today??

those chickens must have done the trick cause you got your wish.

I always have a soft-spot for early Image art. Between Jim Lee's WildCATs and J Scott Campbell's Gen 13, their digital coloring techniques from Homage Studios were far in advance of what Marvel was doing at the time. I still like it. Booth is the weakest of that artistic clique(wait, excuse me, second weakest after Liefeld), but he worked for me in this issue.
The feat was a bit obscure, but it does make for good battle forum fodder.

my biggest complaint with the art was that it was hard to tell what was going on during the action sequences. it was really jumbled together.
feats like the one today makes me miss claremontian style writing. it my be unclear exactly what she did but what is clear is she blocked the attack with her powers. also not clear is how strong urr but he was able to knock out Scott with one hit.
also one other complaint is enough with lightning lass lol
