So we’ll never know who’s Rhodey’s daughter’s mother.
And Carol doesn’t know either.
Huh. The Marvels Snapshot oneshot didn't mention Carol's new origin at all.
I still don't like the new one, but it seems almost a missed opportunity, given that it focused on a teen searching for an identity.

Carol didn’t know her heritage until she was an adult. This story was focused on parents being oppressive to kids who are trying to find themselves.

I'd rather we just get an original love interest for Carol at this point.

No love interest would be better for a while...

Congrats and good luck with your new position....
You're very welcome, and depending on how the stars line up, I'd love to see Kelly Thompson and Karla Pacheco team up for a Captain Marvel/Spider-Woman arc that runs through both their series.
I would love to see Kelly Thompson and Karla Pacheco do the following story arc

Captain Marvel & Spider-Man arc
Spider-Woman & Spider-Man arc
Captain Marvel, Spider-Woman, and Spider-Man arc
I vote for Captain Glah Ree. It’ll give Kelly new areas to explore
Or a resurrected Flash Thompson as a symbiote with Flash’s conscious having control of it. Call him Rancor.

I would like a combo of both of your ideas. No love interest for a while, then an original love interest.
Am I alone in thinking Carol was best as Binary?
(I mean - there's no knocking how much attention she has now as Captain Marvel - not taking that way - but my favorite version/look of her - is her Binary form) :)
And I collected her original "Ms. Marvel" series when it came out. So I've been a long time fan of Carol. (I have a thing for women portrayed as strong females - not just in strength - but mentality) :D
I liked Carol best as Binary. Her look, her costume, her powers. I really liked her high-levels of strength and energy and that she was cosmic.
I have not followed Carol closely these days. How does Carol's current strength and energy levels compare to her Binary state? Is she considered cosmic now?
Carol's a cosmic level character but she's at her best when she's got grounded stories.
I'm loving the current series. There's a reason so many issues went to second printing

"Binary" has become a sort of special form that she can tap into when she absorbs a lot of energy.
Yeah, it's basically a super mode. And once used it has to recharge so can't be used again for a while.
