Suddenly I need Rachel and Peter to be a thing. Move over MJ!
I haven't picked it up yet but I assumed that she would have some line to EITHER Cable seeing how she was beside herself with grief when OG Cable was killed. I also assume no Jean interaction in this book as well? This book, while it wasn't pitched this way, felt like the Summers Family book in the way that Duggan utilized and incorporated Rachel. It's disappointing to think she was just Tank Girl in this issue, but she's not the focus (nor should she be in his book).
But let's be thankful that Leah is writing Trial of Magneto as we have already seen panels of Rachel using her abilities. So she's going to get some love there at least with a writer who gets her. Beyond that it's up in the air.
She may not have spoken, but she was one of the character that actually had a goodbye moment with him alongside Jean. It was touching

I'm a fan of Rachel and Nathan's supportive sibling relationship stories. And who need words when you have telepathy?

She has not spoken in the whole issue. She wasn't even donning her costume, she was dressed like a passer-by, holding some kind of cannon on her shoulder ()
So sad.
I prefer just Rachel as was used in Cable

Does anyone else notice the portrait of Jean Grey (frames one and two) wearing the Green and Gold Phoenix costume?

I mean it's on brand for Rachel so it makes sense lol.
But yes he has drawn some of the most consistently awesome Rachel images over the years.

Am I allowed to mention Davis's R'chel? One of the few fumbles for the definitive Rachel writer and artist.
lets not forget that bowl cut

Absolutely. I abhor that arc but it is what it is. I will say that while it was another poor showing in terms of her capacity to be mentally controlled, we did get that she was strong enough to alter her genetic composition using her tk and was breaking through aspects of Storm's mental defenses for tp control. She didn't complete it and I don't think she could as Storm is extremely difficult to breach/break, but a few powerful aspects to an otherwise bad story. I think the issue I had was they changed her hair style midway through and she had this uber butch cut for a while which made no sense.

No one better mess with Ray even when she's gone swimming.
