Strange Academy: Death of Doctor Strange Variant cover. Amora and her other son Alvi.
After a whole week I expected someone says something.
I expect a lot from this special, hope it's something good because it will be the first time, Amora the Enchantress has some focus on any book even if this can have more focus on her sons than really her.
I hope Strange Academy treats Amora better than Captain Marvel did. I don't think they are gonna villainize Amora around her kids. She may play tough-to-impress parent. On a side note I can't buy comics for a month now. The only comic book store in the city I live closed shop which sucks because I want to get a physical copy of this one. Oh well, guess I'll wait a little longer. Good thing I don't have a problem with reading spoilers.

I have that hope too, I don't really think Amora is a bad mother, if she left them in care of their father, it can be a thing to protect them from her problems, enemies and own things, she never wants to hurt them or that someone uses them to hurt her because of what she is.
Yeah, it sucks when the only shop near to your home is what you bought the comics, It has happened to me on more than one occasion, the comic shops in my town, I don't know why, they don't last long and in the end I have to go to the capital or order them online.
What happened to Amora's future son in Captain Marvel? After the bad taste that story left in my mouth I didn't keep reading. Is he in the same character purgatory Sylvie is in? For what it's worth Amora was quite caring for him. It's the one thing I liked about that story.

No idea, who knows what plans has Kelly Thompson regarding it.
Maybe it was a good thing, but it's weird that present Amora is not different from future Amora, I found it a bit weird in the story of Captain Marvel.

It was weird but I guess it kinda makes sense considering how long Asgardians live. Maybe time doesn't change them as much as it changes us.

Personally I have no idea but I think Amora was always a bit different from other asgardians even Thor and Loki, she can still learn a bit of humility also she is a goddess of love not a demon, not a monster ..., she can be a bit selfish and arrogant but she isn't truly evil and there are a lot of comics on what this was shown, the problem is that some writers remember and other choose to ignore it.
Yeah writers usually take the lazy approach. When a character makes a name for herself/himself as a villain/anti-hero they keep telling the same story over and over again and any progression characters made gets ignored by the next writer. Or rarely a character gets to evolve thanks to her/his popularity in outside media (Loki in MCU)

Well, I think a very good example we have with Doctor Octopus, since Superior Spider-Man to now.

A good example though I'm not a fan of that series for all the Queenpin bs Slott did with Felicia.

Yeah, it wasn't a good thing and so forced, at least now things are different right now, I really hope all these things of Amora with her sons from the Strange Academy don't be forgotten, I think it's enough important and relevant to change things for good instead of making things worse than ever.
I hope they touch on father of the kids as well.

Me too, i think it's important it he is not Skurge, Thor, Heimdall or even Loki.

Looks great. Amora's face reminds me of an actress but I can't say who.

It reminded me of this

I like how silver surfer looks like a love-struck puppy.
This makes me worder how Amora's magic would fare against power cosmic. Power cosmic is in the same tier as speed force for the bs it can do.

Yeah! Marvel Super Hero Squad was a lot of fun, I loved it in the same way that Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, both shows were so good and have a very good Amora's portrayal.
No idea, but Amora is a goddess, of course, it's another level, a mere human woman can't do what Amora does for centuries (i'm not saying that Sylvie Lushton with time and a lot more of practice can't reach someday)

Yeah it did justice to Amora and to other characters as well yet I remember reading various online forums where people hated it for the artstyle or tone or something.

Not my case, but I thought at first before watching It did not seem too good, after seeing it and observing that it was really worth it, I was hooked and I loved it, I really regret that they canceled it when it seemed that the general consensus is that it was a series that could have given much more.
The truth is that in the case of Amora, I do not stop complaining bitterly when it appears in a specific comic or story, I cannot help it when I see something that has potential and that later the writer does not know what to do next or has an ending or a lack of development that I consider alarming, hence I later think that they do not respect the character at all, I cannot accept things simply as they are, I need more and really think positive if things are really done well.
I was wondering something about the whole thing about the children of Amora the Enchantress.
If Amora has not been the best mother with her children Alvi and Iric because she preferred to separate from them, possibly to protect them from who she is and not to harm them or that they will suffer any damage because of her, considering a better option to be raised by their father (there are people who believe that they may be children of Thor rather than an unknown palace guard that many people in Asgard seem to know, but I don't know if the fact that he is someone different is far more interesting).
Could Lorelei if her relationship with Sigurd continues, be a much better mother if she had two daughters? Lorelei is and always has been very competitive when it comes to proving that she is better than her older sister.
January Marvel Solicitations 2022
As usual 0 mentions about the Enchantress on any place. :(

The context of it doesn't say something good on Amora but the fact she asked for help to the Doctor Strange even if she's so selfish it is that she cares for her kids and wanted to help them.
I want even more to see more of it. Instead of just a one-shot I would have preferred a limited series.
I hope Amora's children don't finish hating their mom like her sister Lorelei did and does.
After 2 days, I expected someone says anything. It seems no one here has any kind of interest and opinion.
About what juan678 posted? I can't see any of those in my device:(. Just empty bars. I assumed it was a preview for Strange Academy and looked for it online but couldn't find anything. As for january solicitations I've already had my expectations tempered though it still stinks.

About the solicitations, pretty sad not to see anything, it's hard to see and believe but it looks like we see something Amora related every 5 years more or less but never an ongoing or something able to continue, it's like Marvel don't see any value on the character to make something even on writers and artists part, I can't understand why when she was hugely popular on 60s and 70s, even on 80s to be part of the first Secret wars and Simonson's Thor run.
I just only demand more respect, love and justice but it never comes to a reality.
Thanks a lot I can finally see it:D Who's that thing Amora has bargained with in the past? Right now it doesn't reflect well on Amora though as she says she wasn't expecting kids at that time.
Yeah it's frustrating Marvel doesn't give Amora the same chance it gives to some other characters. She was chosen by Beyonder in the original Secret Wars even offered Dr Doom healing his face. She was used in AXIS (that event was awful but still) and recently in WotR so it's not like Marvel has forgotten about her. They use her in events and other times they choose to ignore her which is just baffling.

No problem :D
I have no idea, but Amora's origin never was explained, there are some things we never saw on comics that appeared on characters biographies like the fact Amora learned magic from different sorcerors, wizards and other sorceresses also being Karnilla's disciple for a time when she was younger before being expelled for being a rebel, this can be one of these things, she never expected to happen when it comes to her own benefit but the fact she asked for help to the Doctor Strange makes her to really cares about her children.
