How is Cates' Thor? I only read the first arc with Galactus. If Amora shows up I'll pick it up. Rignt now Thor is the ideal book to explain how Amora escaped prison and ended up in CM.
I have barely no idea, since Aaron finished I decided not to pick up it because I think Cates just follows Aaron's run and looks like Amora has no place on it, it's very doubtful Cates will explain it. Sure people can enjoy it, not my case.
-
Even if Cates uses Amora, my problem is with his writing style. From what little I've read of his work he seems to write non-stop high octane action without much subtlety or character work (venom may be an exception). I'd definitely read his take on Amora but I'd love to see someone like Ewing write Amora. One can dream.

If Cates uses Amora he will copy what Aaron did that basically was nothing and just an involution out of nowhere regarding the character.
Me too, actually I like what Kelly Thompson is doing and also the little I read about on Strange Academy 10 by Scottie Young.

I really appreciate these things, I like them, but I miss things related to comics, basically appearances or returns of these three characters (Amora the Enchantress), (Lorelei and Sylvie Lushton), for now although there are some things more or less parallels between Sylvie and The Enchantress of the comics (basically a little about Sylvie Lushton and if possible Amora but maybe it is too late with so much mix of characters currently), there is still no confirmation and in principle, the thread is about Amora and there's nothing about her for now unless there continues to be a follow-up of Sylvie in the Loki series and beyond and that can be clearly confirmed that she will become the Enchantress in the MCU.

STRANGE ACADEMY PRESENTS: DEATH OF DOCTOR STRANGE #1
SKOTTIE YOUNG (W) MIKE DEL MUNDO (A) COVER BY HUMBERTO RAMOS
Strange Academy is closed until the events surrounding Dr. Strange’s death are resolved, so the students go back to their parents!
Iric and Alvi’s mom happens to be the Enchantress, so you know this isn’t going to go smoothly. We’re going to learn that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and more than just one realm is in trouble.
All this and more!
-
"Doctor Strange's death has affected every corner of the Marvel Universe, especially the Asgardian Twins Iric and Alvi and their sorcerer mother, Enchantress!" Young said. "With Strange gone, The Wizard has come to collect his half of the bargain… The Enchantress' firstborn son!"
Strange Academy #10 revealed Iric and Alvi's mother is Enchantress after the school took a field trip to Asgard. Iric broke away from his classmates to pay his mother a visit, finding her a prisoner in the roots of the World Tree.

Looks amazing, can wait to see it. :o
At least, there is a follow-up and a very important one for Amora (I wonder about Iric and Alvi's aunt Lorelei).
he Enchantress' firstborn son!"
It's possible this talks about Alvi but he and Iric are of the same age and twins like Amora and Lorelei, the difference is that Amora is the older one and Lorelei the younger one.

just wondering of one thing
What would people think if Sylvie Lushton became a disciple and friend of Amora and in the end fell in love with one of her master's children? if Amora was already angry when Sylvie called herself the Enchantress and banish her to one of the ten realms, I don't want to think what would happen if Sylvie were girlfriend of one (of both) of Amora's kids.

Absolutely agreed.
Also I think i'm going to cry and drop some tears of joy that for first time someone do something truly interesting with her.

I guess it won't end well for Sylvie. She may become a permanent resident of Hel if Amora gets really pissed.

It's possible but also it depends on what her sons could think and how to deal with it, Sylvie too, maybe Sylvie can respect Amora so much and in the end, it would not finish well because Sylvie can be worried more about Amora than Iric and Alvi and this can maybe hurt more the relationship of Amora and her sons in many emotional ways.

Has Amora ever been Sorcerer Supreme before? If not I'd like to see her take the mantle even if Strange comes back eventually.
Has Amora ever been Sorcerer Supreme before? If not I'd like to see her take the mantle even if Strange comes back eventually.
Amora is an asgardian goddess and her powers are basically unlimited unless she is far from Asgard when her powers are still there but a bit weakened and not full strength, she can learn some new things but she don't need it really
-
I meant it as magical protector of the universe though I guess she won't find that job appealing.
I meant it as magical protector of the universe though I guess she won't find that job appealing.
She has different interests, The fact that she wants to rule Asgard and be queen or have Thor is pure facade for what she really wants which is more or less similar to what Sylvie Lushton would like that to be respected and loved or considered a heroine but her Nature and looking for a greater power often ends up preventing her, she really does not have the motivation to strive to kill her enemies, she could have killed the Avengers almost without blinking but she does not do it because she does not really want to do it and she even respects them and leaves them alone mainly for Thor or maybe the Avengers bores her at this point, it is also not known exactly what she thinks of the changes that Loki has had in these times.

Is Amora more powerful than Hela on average or does that depend on the location/whether Hela has her cloak or not?
-
Is Amora more powerful than Hela on average or does that depend on the location/whether Hela has her cloak or not?
If you are thinking about it because of that mini from a few years (Avengers Prime by Bendis), I have no idea, after all Hela is the Goddess of Death, Amora is powerful, more than the majority of people of Asgard, Karnilla the Norn Queen was her teacher at the magic arts. And Lorelei clearly learns from her sister but ends just learning what she wants without thinking and disrespecting her sister teachings.
Probably without the cloak, Amora can defeat Hela.

Although I like these things and they are very good, for now they have no relationship with the Enchantress unless in the last episode of Loki next week they make some reference to that name or even Amora or Sylvie begins to call herself that.
Right now I have much more interest in that Strange Academy special related to Amora and her children.
-
I am not fan of that firstborn thing (especially if that bargain was with Amora), hopefully actual issue is not going to be what I fear it will be.
-
I am not fan of that firstborn thing (especially if that bargain was with Amora), hopefully actual issue is not going to be what I fear it will be.
I don't think it can be like that, Amora seems to care a lot about her son Iric (with Alvi too even if he can't feel the same about her) when he visits her, I think Amora is going to protect her sons not abandon them.
-
I would like people to comment more, I do not think it is an excuse or a justification that there is no news about her when there are (this Strange Academy Special related to the Death of Doctor Strange announced 2-3 days ago is an example of it), this is already more lack of interest on the part of the people than anything else.
To me, personally, it is one thing that for once they are really going to focus on her in something interesting for the first time in a long time, perhaps the closest thing to a one-shot related to her although the protagonists will surely be her children and I do not think that Amora is going to be especially bad here which is good and she would move away from all of the above, perhaps a way to begin to redeem herself by protecting her children from whatever entity is going for them. And that possibly her children are more like her or at least one of them than she might like and that would not be easy to deal with.

As I said before I truly appreciate these things but still no confirmation of an Enchantress in the MCU. I'm enjoying Loki series but the only way to see Amora is in the comics.

I have observed that from the Illuminati series to Strange Academy there has been a curious continuity, I do not know if it was something thought or by pure coincidence because it seems to follow events connecting the history of the Enchantress in recent years.
It is said that the father of Iric and Alvi, students of the Strange Academy are children of a guardian of Odin's palace and their mother we already know that is the Enchantress (Amora)
This is already very summarized and not very detailed on my part, I am sorry but I think it is understood or can be understood.
If we start with Illuminati 5, the companions of the Hood group discover that Sylvie Lushton is not the Original Enchantress because one of the elite guards clearly knows that she is not the Enchantress when she tries to attack like she was crazy, surely that guard who hits her as if she was nothing else, could be this man who is the father of the boys of the Academy, after that and after the parenthesis with that saga of Standoff, the final issue of the Illuminati series, Amora the Enchantress appears as out of nowhere (perhaps someone warned her about Sylvie Lushton and goes to see her) and banishes Sylvie to a place that we still do not know where she is and that clearly Sylvie must be taking her time, learning and becoming stronger and more powerful (I refuse to believe that she is dead, mainly because of her connection with Loki).
Then we have the whole saga of the War of the Realms, where Amora ends up imprisoned near the world tree Yggdrasil, then the Strange Academy series begins where we are introduced to two young blond Asgardians who we know nothing about except that their father seems to be a palace guard, they show a good level of magic, being Alvi better than his brother, in Strange Academy 10, Iric on a study trip is going to visit his mother in secret and that's where we know that Amora is that absent mother (possibly she never wanted any of her children to have a complicated life or drag them with her, knowing herself of what she is able of and that is why she preferred that they stay with their father, oblivious to the problems), she is affectionate and concerned with him, she shows neither indifference, nor disdain, nor anything wrong.
Loki clearly knows that side of Amora's life and seems to get along with them. I wonder about Iric and Alvi aunt Lorelei and what's her relationship with them.
And then we'll have that Strange Academy special about the Death of Doctor Strange that I'm already looking forward to exploring the boys' relationship with their mother.

Maybe. It's interesting that Amora hooked up with a palace guard and birthed his children instead of someone with more power and statue considering she's usually drawn to power and luxury. They need to address who the palace guard is properly. As for Sylvie I think she's in the character limbo that she's not officially dead and if a writer wants to tell a story with her, she can be easily brought back. If she is indeed a creation of Loki can she be truly killed?
-

That is also something that I would like to know, because clearly it is a question that gives a complexity never seen before to a character like her, nor is she that good, but she is not that bad and many times that has been seen, Amora is someone who never reveals her secrets to anyone, just a few ones and she has many of them, she loves to meet and know other people, but she does not let anyone know her, at least on certain levels, including Thor for whom she in the depths of her heart feels something that it does not seems to be reciprocated.
Of course, I agree on the Sylvie point but maybe she already overcome his creator and maybe she's truly free of him. I would love as many times I said that she is back soon, specially with the popularity of the Sylvie character on Loki tv series.
