This was an okay issue. Overall i am still liking the Mark and April but i think that is the strongest part of the issue. Some of the dialogue feels a little amateur or maybe too direct or maybe i'm just use to reading big concepts lately than more everyday but that's not what it feels like, something just feels slightly off. The panel where April is close enough to Jen to touch her and absorb her powers but then somehow far enough away mark is being thrown at her took me out the story for a second.
The only panel to really stand out to me besides the break the fourth wall panel.

But while i enjoyed the BUUUUURRRRRN and can let it go because it was from a villain if you were reading at the time it was more than just because she didn't want to and also the last Jen series which imo was better than this one had her dealing with the Fear of what thanos did to her and reconciling those issues.

I like how she always addresses her as "Jennifer Walters" with her big gamma headed brain. Something about it just amuses me so much.

Yeah, I enjoyed the backstory of Mark and April. Almost felt sorry for them.

I got the issue on Friday. It's been a while since we've seen 616-Jen break the 4th Wall and it took me back to Byrne's run. Not too many stories deal with folks deliberately messing with gamma to give themselves powers but when they do it often goes awry and this wasn't new in that regard. Draining Jen's gamma was also done in Fall of the Hulks with Leader, Red Hulk and Doc Samson as the culprits so this reminded me of that also. So while not out of the park outstanding it had its moments.
I wonder why? Thought it might be as she doesn't have a book, but a) she actually DOES right now, albeit just a mini (issue 3 just solicited), and b) a lot of others also lack books. Silk, Spider-Woman, Ghost-Spider and Ms. Marvel could all be used on Amazing Spider-Man (as the first three are spiders and Kamala is currently part of Peter's supporting cast). Jane Foster Valkyrie could be used on Avengers, Shuri on Black Panther, Storm, Rogue and Psylocke on any of the X books. She-Hulk's, Captain Marvel's and Scarlet Witch's would be on their own books. Which just leaves America Chavez - maybe use hers on a Marvel Voices anthology?
I would love to see Black Widow, She-Hulk, and Betsy Braddock as part of Peter's supporting cast as well. Imagine if She-Hulk was a part of the world of Captain Britain....
