I'm not as averse to Abnett as others around here seem to be. And Paul Pelletier is a favorite of mine, so I'm okay with the creative team, by I really wished for a better hook than to help other deal with their metahuman powers. The Titans are in serious need of some "pretty good" new bad guys. As for the line-up, Dick and Donna (I really wish she'd get a codename. Troia was cool, IMHO) are must haves for me. I could do without Roy and Wally (mostly because he's taken too much the central spot of this new run, and he's still a mess). I think Garth, Lilith and Karen are the ones with most potential for new developments, but I can see them as the ones being dropped. I don't want to see new characters. There are plenty of old ones that could be reworked into the team. I'd love to see Hawk and Dove join the team on a more permenant basis. But what I really want to see are new threats.
Peace
I really didn't appreciate how Abnett treated this team, he seems to not understand the spirit that spinned out Titans. So I wouldn't mind a change in charge.
Otherwise Paul Pelletier is far far better than Booth, who was IMO one of the lowest point of the last run.
You're right, helping people dealing with their metahuman powers it's not the best of the premises.
Fab 5 should be all in, everyone is on the cover.
I don't care about Lilith, Karen or Hawk and Dove.
I'd like to have back in this team Starfire, Raven, Changeling and Cyborg (yes he belongs here), and as said by Assam to have Argent would be simply great! Not a fan of Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz.

I can see them moving Starfire, Hawk & Dove back to the team to create some synergy with the upcoming TV series. I hope they will keep Bumblebee and Lilith, but with Lilith taking less of a field role.
I know most of us hate Abnett’s Titans (I dropped after 5 issues), but what “direction” are y’all itching for in terms of character focus, mission statement, and story elements when it comes to the Titans team(s). It’s clear the B-List Justice League position they’ve played isn’t working out, but what alternatives do fans of the characters have?
I’m personally not crazy about the X-Men analogue Abnett is going for, but I do think it’s a step towards giving the Titans some relevance and something new to deal with. I’ve always been intrigued by the Titans going corporate and social-media driven, so maybe if you mix that up with Mission Impossible-type aesthetics you got something distinct from the League. Maybe the Titans could put emphasis on “dispersal across the globe” and striking at the more strange threats (such as magic, which the League doesn’t typically deal with) or things that hurt the “little guys”. I’d imagine a larger and more global lineup with Starfire at the helm and Nightwing the main focus given his spy background.
Titans have some of the biggest connections of the DCU, plus they have a psych in their ranks.
I'd take advantage of that and have the team use all their connections and expertise to act more proactively than the League.
While the League are first responders to the DCU's biggest crisis, the Titans would work to predict and avoid threats from evolving to League level. Justice League and Titans would each be different sides to the same coin, complementing each other.
The way I see it, half the team would be on recon missions, trying to uncover possible points of origin for new threats and the other half would be ready to respond should they find something. This would allow for a bigger lineup and sort of a rotating cast.
Cast:
Nightwing: co-leader and the connection to Gotham and spy organizations like Spyral
Donna Troy (Legend): co-leader with mythological expertise
Cyborg: the third pillar of the Titans Trinity, JL liaison and tech expert.
Starfire: cosmic connection
Raven: team's mystic expert
Arsenal: connection to the DCU's criminal underworld, would often be undercover.
Changeling: connection to the the Red and the quirky world of Doom Patrol
Omen: the team's window to the future - would get a major redesign to separate herself further from Raven.
Tempest: I'd have him as an Atlantean diplomat and political expert
Bumblebee: the "down-to-Earth" POV character
Flash (Wally): speed Force/timestream connections
This would be the only Titans team for a while. The younger team would be Young Justice and wouldn't be closely connected to Titans.
I think a book like this could maybe give Titans some relevancy. They'd actually have a role in-universe and all the most popular Titans characters would be featured, just like in Snyder's JL. They'd be written as equals to the other team and all former sidekicks would be allowed to step out of their mentors' shadows to find their own roles.

Paul Pelletier's art is as boring as Abnett's writing.
Their collaboration comes across boring, uninspiring and dated.
I want DC to be brave enough to push Titans forward with interesting creators.

I think Pelletier is one of the most underrated artists in the business, though he needs a good writer to bring out his strongest work.

Pelletier is actually great imo, I'm only still reading because of him, lol.
And I happen to really like Factor's idea for a new direction, but my hope is that we get some big cosmic stories. I'm kinda tired of seeing the Titans take on pretty pedestrian threats in comparison to the JL, and as a Nightwing fan I'm also tired of seeing Dick take on high street-level or martial artist villains all the time.
I want to see some mind-blowing action, the kind that would stop Kory and Wally from holding back. Let these characters actually feel like Titans, maybe show us why these characters are supposed to be great, you know? Let Donna drop the dumb sword and throw some beastly punches, let Dick fight like the monster he is, etc.

I really don't want starfire joining this team because Abnett has been terrible writing romance so far in this run, and with her and nightwing on a team together, that's bound to happen.
-
Under Abnett the romance would be about how Nightwing is also a terrible lover, LoL.

Not with Batman looking over his shoulder to supervise though. :p

It sounds like the Titans need a Blackfire arc.

I don't need that image in my life :p.

LoL, oh no now that picture is in my head.

I like these ideas you guys are dropping, I am hoping that nightwing will get the spotlight this time, he has been pushed so far into the background in this series from the start, as a fan it has been frustrating.

I'd definitely like to see that. One thing I think I saw about Lobdell's Blackfire arc in his previous Outlaws run was that Kory had her own spaceship and she got to be the cool captain person, I'd like to see that again (just without the stink of that run lol).
Also, how could you guys do this to me, you've ruined my night. I did not need that Batman image put in my mind, I'm going to get a nightmare for sure, smh.

Original team plus Lilith, Mal, Karen, and Magenta? Sign me up! At first I read Frances Kane as Bette Kane and I'd like Flamebird even more than Magenta. I like the general vibe of a 70s-inspired roster, but more grown up than they were then. Nicely done.
I get the nostalgia for the original NTT lineup but I feel like I've had enough of Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast Boy in association with the original five. The original five have a bond like no other. I like supplementing them with the characters they worked with before NTT.
