And now with the Ultimates references, I feel safe in calling out Coates for the supposed weakness of the Wakandan Military. No way you can supply all that tech to the Ultimates program "America would only slow up down" and worry about the combined forces of the MA and "The People".

Lol
Guess BP miss budgeted that Ultimate program. lolol
A lot of times international movies don't open at the same time. Marvel generally releases stuff in Europe first for instance.
But yeah, PAcific Rim is easily its biggest competition.
Predator is headlied by Thomas Jane, Olivia Munn... and has 50 cent in it. #aintworried lol (i'll see it though lol_)
At this point the simple fact that it's a marvel movie almost gurantee's it'll do well. The only question mark is how well.

That theoretically could have been the problem. If your country is already in somewhat difficult times economically and you're funneling resources to essentially a space program of sorts, it's possible they are coming short in other areas.
Its because both movies are going to be released around Valentines week
Fifty Shades Freed on the 9th of Feb, Black Panther on the 16th of Feb

Fifty Shades Freed opens a week before Black Panther. That's about it. The next weekend though is Pacific Rim: Uprising, which will probably be Black Panther's biggest competition internationally.
EDIT: Also, The Predator is now slated for February 9, 2018. So Summer in February?
2nd Edit: Also some animated film opens up with BP. Called Larrakins with the voices of Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, Ben Mendolsohn, and Naomi Watts.
So it does look like Black Panther will have some good competition.
Psshhh it don't matter. All them movies gon catch this fade from BP and Mickey

Remember when Ewing used the Dora and was asked about how it syncs with the BP solo and he said it was only ceremonial and that the main book would be canon. When we saw that scene in the Ultimates I think it would be safe to say the most of us did not picture the MA as the two that were with him. lol.
Ewing likely drafted his story based off the conclusion of Hickman's run.
Remember: his focus was to tell a Blue Adam/Spectrum story, with these other add-on characters (BP, Carol, AMC) after the fact. So the whole ceremonial line was likely his way of saying "look, i was under the impression **** was going back to normal.. so this is all i got for you excuse-wise. Now back to some cosmic ramblings and adam soliloquies.."

I agree. I just thought it funny. Trying to get those two some shine anyway they can.
If nothing else the WoW books confirmed (for those who may have still been confused on the matter) that all the events which occured in Hickmans book still happened. There's a question mark over whether or not there are some subtle differences or not... but they all seemed to still happen.
The Wakandans repelling the Black Order is new though... that's kinda cool. It gives Wakanda a nice little win there. But I certainly agree a lot of this could be explained better. But given most of it is previous events anyways, I suppose it's no huge thing.
Eh I prefer show not tell, especially in some book with consequence or substance. This whole book lacks meat and potatoes just like the main book

Lets be real here. Wakanda is in no real threat of the people. Coates just failed to provide us with any real threats so he heavily nerfed Wakanda and Tchalla to make the story work. There is no need to try and explain away the stuff. Coates just can't write comics with action, political intrigue and a villain of real power and threat and have the hero overcome them with their in continuity characteristics and power set

Somebody mentioned this already. The difference between the Cabal breaking out of their cells and Shuri dying was eight months? Issue three made it seem like they were called when the attack started. But the MA said if they were there they could have helped. That is one long plane ride. lol. Maybe full bool will explain it.
We might have to brace ourselves for a super retcon. lol
-
WoW3 seemingly seemed like it when tge cabal came back with UN permission to wipe them out
Which makes 0 sense... as soon as the cabal escapes netropolos, u know damn well they aint letting tw captain of there special forces chill in ny.
But wow 4 is framing it as tge time shuri, tchalla, and a small force of hz and dm went in and were ambushed by maximus and proxima where shuri committed suicide by spear
So.... wtf lol. Anekas "woe is me i could have saved her" only works if aneka was gone during the un sanctioned destruction, plus 8 month gap, then got the call
Ahhhhhh this is what some of us wete afraid would happen... Gay couldnt weave her story well enough through Hickmans story so it makes no damn sense
What does marvel editorial do these days lol

It's pretty much obvious (to anyone with a brain) that Coates was hell bent on telling his "alternative facts" take on the BP mythos irrespective of where Hickman left things at the close of the Secret Wars saga.
To pretend otherwise is an excercise in willful folly.
